Pride Day 16: people that mean a lot to you

OH BOY BUCKLE UP BUTTERCUPS I'VE GOT A LOTA NAMES 

My aro ace friend, the friend who played Jack and is a lesbian, the friend who played Crutchie, @you_gota_fiend_in_me, @Your-New-Therapist, @Angsty_Virgil, @Second_C00kie, @Secluded_Sunflower, @beautifulcollections, @Mercy_Virgo, @littlecastiel, @KermitOnABreadstick, @That_One_Cool_Dad, @that_one_dumb_fuck, @Soccer10835, @Ninjaflamingo12, @Sad_Boiz, @Madame_Qtip, the list goes on and on for miles.

That moment when your mom asks the family at dinner who they'd date out of any fictional character.

And she says something like Harry Potter and your dad says Elastic Girl from The Incredibles.

So now she's just staring at you and your sibling as you try to come up with a proper character.

My first internal response?

I'm ace, sooooooo no.

Second one?

Pick a girl pick a girl pick a girl gotta scare them 

Third one?

DON'T PICK A GIRL JUST CHOOSE A GUY AND NOT ONE OF THE CANONALLY PAN ONES YOU CANNOT CHOOSE JASPER FROM THAT ONE TRILOGY THAT HAD YOU SOBBING BECAUSE IT TOOK ALL THREE BOOKS BUT THE TWO GOT TOGETHER AND IT WAS WORTH THE SLOWBURN OF OVER A THOUSAND PAGES OF BOOK AND BOTH OF THEM NEARLY DYING A DOZEN TIMES

In the end I didn't end up saying anything because "it's hard, everyone has someone" so I got out of that nightmare.

But anyways I was thinking, "well who would I choose if I had to date someone? And the relationship was simply romantic and not sexual at all? And my parents didn't know?"

So um, feel free to tune out now because I'm going to try and figure that out!

Yeah um, no judging too, please.

Reasons: magical, smooth as anything, loves books, has manners, had a wonderful taste in clothing and design, weapon master, strategist, dramatic.

Luna Lovegood, from Harry Potter

Reasons: Ravenclaw, eccentric, book lover, sweet, caring, blunt, knowledgeable, traveler, understanding, doesn't care what others think of her.

Draco Malfoy, Harry Potter

Reasons: he's a drama queen and I find that entertaining plus the wizarding world

MJ, from the MCU

Reasons: dark humor, knows a lot about murder, book lover, conspiracist, fun

Samwise Gamgee, Lord of the Rings

Reasons: hardworking, polite, loyal, steadfast, caring, won't let you push him away, protective, won't go be up on you, helpful, can garden because I'm rubbish at that

Angelica Schuyler, the musical Hamilton

Reasons: feminist, hard worker, book lover no doubt, stands up for her beliefs, courageous, smooth talker, outspoken

So I want a person who loves books, is independent, has some sense of dramaticness in them, is smart, has manner, and is either a feminist or supports feminism.

In all honesty I really just want someone that wants and is willing to hug me a lot and that I can say 'I love you' to that won't expect sex or any sexual actions from me and won't push that on me. I want a romantic partner that isn't also a sexual partner and is completely happy to stay that way.

I want someone I can cuddle and be myself around them without being scared of being taken in the wrong way or be judged. But that's for a time when I can actually meet people again and also have the time and ability to go on dates with someone.
