Forgotten | HankCon Oneshot

In which loved ones are forgotten, but not entirely.


"Hey, kid wanna learn some coin tricks?" The retired detective said, sitting in his wheelchair, flipping a quarter between his fingers and from hand to hand, occasionally pausing by catching it between his index and middle fingers.

"Sure, Hank. I'd love to learn." The other man said, kneeling in front of his husband.

"Well, I don't remember who taught me them, but I guess I was taught at some point. It's easy once you get the hang of it!" Hank smiled, his green eyes crinkling at the corners.

The other man smiled and nodded. "Teach me. I don't know how to do that."

"Yeah...Who are you again?" Hank asked, before leaning his chin down against his chest and falling asleep.

I smiled sadly and stood up, holding Hank's hand. "My name is Connor Anderson. I married you the day that human-android marriages were legalized. I wish you could remember me. I love you." I whispered. I leaned down to kiss his forehead before letting go of his hand and walking away.
