Chapter 5 - He Changed My Life

The security guard grabbed my forearm. Really hard.

"What the hell are you doing?" Jimmy yelled. "Get off of her!" The security guard's lips were in a stubborn straight line. "Your friend here has broke the law. This hospital is family only." The security guard explained. "She is family." Jimmy blurted out. "She is to me." I felt my cheeks getting warm. I couldn't deny myself anymore, I was somewhat in love with him.

"We're going to have to bring you both to the police station." The security guard said. Jimmy rolled his eyes. His face was straight-on angry. He walked toward the security guard. I put my arm out to stop him, "Jimmy. Don't." Jimmy took a deep breath. We followed him to the police car.

When we got to the police station, a police officer led us to a private room. Jimmy and I sat into really small chairs, the police officer sitting across from us.

"Hello. I am Officer Vasquez." The officer said. I nodded. "We were called by the hospital saying that you snuck into this gentleman's room?" Officer Vasquez questioned, his head nodding toward Jimmy. I slowly nodded. I felt Jimmy's eyes on me. "This action is against not only the Policy of that hospital, but by the law." Officer Vasquez explained. I started to get massive anxiety. "Listen. This man," I nodded toward Jimmy. "has changed my life. And do you think just because I'm not related to him by blood will stop me?" I asked, anger showing in my voice. I felt Jimmy's eyes on me. "He could've died." I continued. Officer Vasquez looked down. I started to tear up. Officer Vasquez looked up, "That is very nice, Ms. McCullough. But, it still doesn't change the fact that you broke the law. This will not lead to jail time. However, you will have to pay a $5,000 fine." My eyes widened. How the hell am I supposed to get $5,000?

"I also know you from Saturday Night Live," Officer Vasquez said. "I am going to call Lorne Michaels, and this case may lead to a suspension from performing." My heart fell to my stomach. I looked over at Jimmy, who was already looking at me. "Thank you for your time, and you may be dismissed." Officer Vasquez said. Jimmy and I stood up, and walked out.

Jimmy and I walked back to 30 Rockefeller Center, where my car was. Jimmy sat in the passenger seat.

I started the car, but leaned back. "I'm really sorry." I said to Jimmy. I started to choke up. Jimmy sat up, and put his hand on my shoulder. "Don't be sorry. I really appreciate that you did that." Jimmy said. A tear rolled down my cheek. I leaned in for a hug. Jimmy wrapped his arms around me, which made me feel secure. "You changed my life too." Jimmy said. I sat up, and looked at him. "I think your pretty awesome." Jimmy continued with a smirk. I giggled. Jimmy smiled really big, "Hey, don't be upset! I know what will make you feel better." Jimmy said. "I got the main role in a movie." My jaw dropped, I was speechless. "Oh my god! What is it about?" I squealed. Jimmy rubbed his messy hair. "It's about this guy named Ray and his two other buds. They are really poor. They find a letter in the mail after they rob a mailman about a girl who is near the area. They want Ray to pretend to fall in love with her. So, they are basically using the girl for money." Jimmy explained. I started cracking up, "Lovely." I said sarcastically. Jimmy laughed. "Anyways, congratulations!" I gave him another big hug. After we hugged, I leaned in to kiss him. Like always, it took Jimmy no time to kiss back. My hand was running through his messy hair.

So, our "kissing session" lasted for a couple minutes. I looked at Jimmy, "Too fast?" I asked sarcastically. Jimmy giggled and shook his head, "Nope."
