Chapter 1 - Who is He?
"A breathtaking thriller you can't put down; as twisted and deep as Pretty Little Liars-a tragically heartbreaking romance between two incredibly compelling characters."

I woke up at the crack of dawn. I slightly opened my eyes, and looked at my alarm clock. 6:49 a.m.
I felt like I had something planned today. Oh yeah, I thought. Today was my Saturday Night Live audition. I sat up, and rubbed my eyes. The auditions were at 9:30 a.m. I was a nervous wreck. I grew up watching this show, and today is the day I audition for it. I've always dreamed of being a comedian, and this is my big shot.
I stood up, and walked to my bathroom. I looked at myself in the mirror, examining to make sure I have no pimples. I got my hair brush and brushed out my straight, dark brown hair. I put some mascara on my eyelashes, and a short BB Dakota lace panel dress with black dress shoes.
I got in my car and drove to 30 Rockefeller Center. I noticed the silver sign that says NBC Studios. I pulled up against the sidewalk and parked. I got out of my car, and walked in.
I walked up to an old lady at the main desk. "Can I help you?" The lady asked.
"I'm here to audition for Saturday Night Live," I explained. She pushed her glasses down to the edge of her nose.
"Name, please."
I pushed a lock of hair behind my ear. "Malina McCullough."
She looked on the list of people who are auditioning. She put a check mark next to my name. "Studio 8H," She said. I nodded and started walking.
When I got to Studio 8H, someone stopped me. I looked up. It was Lorne Michaels. I tried not to make my jaw drop too much.
"Are you auditioning?" Lorne asked.
"Yeah. Sorry am I heading the wrong way? Someone told me to go in here. Sorry," I explained frantically.
"You're good. Common mistake," Lorne said. I laughed. He pointed to the waiting room, "Right over there," He said with a smile.
"Thanks," I said quickly. I walked down to the waiting room and opened the door. There surprisingly weren't a lot of people auditioning today. I sat in a random seat.
I got out my book and started reading and waited for my turn to audition for the comedy show.
"Hi," I heard a voice next to me say. My head shot left. There was a boy. He had messy dark brown hair. About the same color as mine, maybe a few shades darker. He had chocolate brown eyes, and full lips. Woah.
"Hi," I said back. He threw on a smile.
"What's your name?" He asked.
I raised an eyebrow, "Malina. Why?" He giggled. A really cute giggle.
"Oh, cute name. I'm James. Well, most people call me Jimmy," He said.
I grinned.
"How old are you?" He asked.
"I'm 23. You?" I asked.
He stared at me for a few seconds, "I'm 24," He finally said. I nodded.
"Malina McCullough!" Someone shouted. My head shot up. It was my turn. I closed my eyes and sighed. Don't blow this, Malina, I chanted to myself in my head.
I went in. Trying not to pick at the skin on my fingers, which will indicate that I'm nervous. I walked on stage, stood straight and smiled, as my parents would tell me to do whenever I was auditioning for a school play.
"Hello, Malina. This audition will be recorded, so say your first name, your age, and then do your best impressions and sketches," A man with slick blonde hair said. "1..2..3..go!" He said. I straightened my back a little more and smiled.
"My name is Malina McCullough, and I'm 23 years old," I said.
The audition lasted about 15 minutes. I did my best impression of Katie Holmes, Fran Drescher, ect.
They said they would email or call me within two weeks if I got in. I was so anxious about this.
I walked out of NBC Studios. "Hey, what's your phone number?" Someone asked. I jumped and briskly turned around. It was the same boy I saw in the waiting room. He laughed, "You're really jumpy!" He said.
"Why do you want my phone number?" I asked him. I pulled the strap of my tote bag higher up my shoulder. He shrugged. I was confused. I slowly pulled out a sheet of paper, and wrote down my phone number. I handed it to him.
"Thanks," He said with a big smile. I nodded and smiled. I walked back to my car, and drove off.
