At the beginning of the story, she starts dating John Cena.  However, they break up, and she begins dating Phil Brooks, who ends up becoming her fiancée.

BFF + When they met:
Mona met Phil when she was 7 and riding her bike outside one day.  He lived on her street, and was also riding his bike.  When she accidentally crashed her bike and started crying, Phil rode over to her and got off of his, muttering, "Oh shit." She heard him and started laughing.  The rest is history.

Mona grew up in Chicago, where she was raised by her mom.  She lived in a fairly small neighborhood with Phil, until her mom became pregnant with Leo and they moved to a bigger one.

Type of childhood:
Mona had a unique childhood.  During the school year, she lived in Chicago.  Her mom taught at the local college, and they were very close.  She was a fan of Phil, too, which was a bonus.  Her parents never got married, so she only ever saw her dad during the summer.  Shortly after school ended, he'd come pick her up, and she'd go on the road with him.  She met a lot of wrestlers because of this, and it influenced her decision to make wrestling her job.

When she's around John, she acts differently, trying to impress him, even when they were dating.  She only tries to impress people she has crushes on.  Usually, she's herself around everyone else.

Best memory:
When she was still in OVW, and Phil was on the main roster, they went to a My Chemical Romance concert together.  They didn't get to see each other as much since he was traveling, and she wasn't.  She knew he didn't like MCR as much as she did, but he was going to hang out with her.  The band was performing, and when they got to the song Cancer, Mona began crying because it reminded her of her mom.  She knew Phil didn't even know what the song was, but it was easy to tell what it was about.  Since her mom had died, she had refused to cry in front of him, even though she knew he wouldn't judge her for it.  The concert was the first time she'd cried over her mom's death in front of him, and she knew she had a keeper when he simply comforted her.

Winning the Divas Championship based on her wrestling, not her last name.
