Charlie's best friend is Hannah Lockhart, who lives back in Albany. While they do talk a lot, they don't see each other much since Charlie no longer lives in Albany. Hannah and Charlie met in middle school, after Hannah moved to New York all the way from Georgia. Charlie introduced herself after seeing her eating lunch by herself, and the rest is history.
