Carrie dated Sam Avery, who she met back in middle school, for two years.  He ends up breaking up with her, though.  She ends up back together with him later.

Although Carrie is close to all of her bandmates, she considers Violet to be her best friend.  They met freshman year of high school, and have been friends ever since.
