Duel for Victory

I'm writing this on my phone by the way

It's been a hard week of training. Harry and the others had mastered new spells, and perfected underwater spells in case they needed it. Minerva told everyone to go to the courtyard when they were done eating breakfast.

Everyone dressed in comfy thicker clothes. Harry wore jeans, a tee shirt, a blue jacket, and leather gloves. Hermione wore black tights, with sewn leather patches on the knees, and a sweatshirt. Ron wore regular sweat pants, a long sleeve red shirt, with leather patches on the elbows. Draco wore a black sweatshirt, with black joggers, and leather gloves. They all wore swimming suits underneath their clothes in case they need to go into the water. Hermione and Luna got together, and made wand holsters for everyone in their group.

Once everyone got into the courtyard, they marveled at the amazing set up. It resembled a small town, and it continued down the hill a little.

"Please settle down! I need everyone to stay still. I'm going to put you in groups. Because of the smaller size of the arena, one group will duel first, then the second will duel after. If any of you are in actual peril, I will remove you from the arena, and you will be removed from the game itself. If your last name starts with any letter between A and L, you will be going first. Everyone else is in group two, and will go second. All the teachers will review your duels, and grade you accordingly. When there are five competitors left, the horn will sound, you will cease fire, and exit the arena." Minerva said. "Now A through L, please enter the ring." She concluded. Hermione, Luna, and Neville said goodbye, and entered the arena with everyone else. Harry, Ron, and Draco watched anxiously.

The horn sounded, and everyone started dueling. Hermione, Luna, and Neville got together. They shot knock out spells at everyone they meet in close range. They hexed and cursed the shit out of everyone. The leather protected Hermione as she scrambled around on her knees.

Neville was the first to be disarmed. He was forced to leave the arena since someone took his wand. Hermione and Luna were left.

After 20 minutes of fighting, Hermione and Luna picked off many of the weaker fighters, hid away to regain their strength. After they caught their breathe, they emerged from their hiding place, only to hear the sound of a horn. It looks like the other opponents picked each other off. Hermione, Luna, and three others exited the arena.

Hermione kissed Ron, and Luna kissed Neville. The horn sounded, and Harry, Draco, Ron, and Ginny entered the arena. The horn sounded, and chaos ensued.

Harry started a dead sprint towards the others; zig zagging to confuse the others. He casted a destructive spell, which sent debris falling over a group of students. Minerva saw this, and dissaperated the students out of the arena. Harry smirked, and started to cast expelliarmus at all of the shell shocked students who were looking at the debris. Putting a couple of the students lives in danger was apart of Draco's plan, but Harry used his opportunity to disarm the students who weren't focusing. Harry knew it was dirty, but his instincts started to kick in. Soon this wasn't a grade, it was survival.

Draco took a sniper position on top of a building, and shoot spells down on unsuspecting victims. He had Ron run around to flush out anyone who was hiding, and herded them into Draco's direction.

Harry took a more upfront approach, and ran around, shooting anything that moved with a knock out spell or a stinger hex. With Harry, Draco, and Ron systematically working together, the horn sounded, and their round was finished.

Harry and Draco shared a kiss on the battle ground, and joined the others.

Minerva held her hands out, and got everyone's attention. "Everyone did a fantastic job! I'm happy to see everyone working together, and having a little fun. For the ten champions, I have devised another arena, inside the forbidden forest. The catch is, you are exposed to every creature that lives in the woods. You are not allowed to kill any of the beasts unless provoked. I won't be supervising, but I will find out from your audio if you are in danger. I'll come to you as quickly as I can. Champions, please follow me to Hagrid's hut." She concluded. Hermione, Luna, Harry, Draco, Ron, and the others followed Minerva to Hagrid's hut. Filch gathered all the audience, and brought them inside. The teachers each produced two Patronuses. One to be in the forest, and another inside the dinning hall to relay the audio of the duel. The students couldn't see the fight, but they could definitely hear it.

Next to Hagrid's hut, Minerva talked to the group.
"Alright. When you get disarmed, you are disqualified. Please state your name so everyone can tell who was eliminated. If you render your opponent speechless, just say their name, and we will know who was eliminated. The horn will sound when five are left. You have a couple minutes to discuss strategy." Minerva finished.

Harry, Draco, Luna, Hermione, and Ron got together, and devised a plan.

"We can't use our names, so we need to make code names so we aren't mistaken as eliminated. I'll be Prongs. Who do you want to be called as?" Harry asked the group.

"Call me Dragon." Draco said.

"Call me Moon." Luna said dreamily.

"How about Moody." Ron said.

"Mink." Hermione decided.

Harry clapped his hands. "Great. What I'm thinking is a three group system. We can have Luna and Ron go head on to the other team, and distract them. Then Draco and I will sneak around the left, and Hermione will move around the right. We will meet in the back, and pin them down. With all of us circling them, they won't be able escape the fire." Harry planned. Everyone agreed. Harry whispered an incantation into his wand, and then tapped his wand on everyone else's.

"I created a little spell. Just say 'hello' into your wand, and talk. Everyone will be able to hear what you say. Say 'goodbye' when you're done talking." Harry told them.

Minerva ushered everyone into the forest, and gave them five minutes to find a place.

Everyone got situated, and the horn sounded. Everyone started Harry's plan, although they quickly realized their opponents had split up.

Harry whispered hello into his wand. "Change of plans. They split up. Dragon. Search around, and tell us when you find someone. Wait for the closest backup to help you out. Everyone else circle the area." Harry said goodbye to his wand, and started to search the perimeter of their area.

Half an hour later, Draco finally spoke out.

"Shit. This is big. It's a couple of potions freaks. They smuggled in ingredients. From the looks of it, they're creating a dirty bomb to knock us out. They brought their own masks as well. I'll need Moon to come to the North-East corner, and release some fog to impair their vision. Moody, I'll need you to go to the very North perimeter, and create some realistic wolf howls to draw their attention. Most likely one person will investigate. Mink needs to send a patronus to distract them as they work. Prongs, you'll need to sneak up to the inner North-East area, and start an array of spells. Mostly knock out, but also a couple of Confusious to disorient them. I'm going to send some gusty weather, hopefully I can knock over some vials, and fuck up their shit a little. I say you have about 20 minutes before detonation." Draco said. He said goodbye, and started to cause some bad weather for the others. He managed to knock over a couple vials, but nothing broke. The sun was setting, and the forest was darkening.

Harry was creeping around the forest. He saw the sun setting, and the moon rising. It was a full moon tonight. Harry heard a far away howl. 'Thankfully Minerva would never allow a werewolf into the arena.' Harry thought to himself.

He heard a rustle in the bushes behind him. He whipped his wand out, and pointed it in the direction of the noise. He heard quick footsteps behind him, and turned around. Whatever was circling him wasn't an opponent. It was too fast to be human. He started to back up, and then turned around in a sprint. He heard huffing and the foot falls following closely behind him. Although it seemed like the creature wasn't running at full speed.

Harry ran into a clearing, and turned back to face the creature. He whispered into his wand quickly.

"Something is chasing me. It's not human." Harry said. He watched as a hairy beast walked out of the bushes. It was 5 feet tall, with black fur, and sharp white teeth.
It was a werewolf.

Harry spoke back into his wand. "It's a werewolf. Looks like it's a child, probably from the nearest village. It's playing with me." Harry said urgently. Draco spoke frantically.

"Where are you? I'll head over there." Draco said panicky.

"Stay where you are. I don't want it going after you. I'll distract it so it doesn't go after you all." Harry told him. "Just hurry up and disarm them." Harry ordered. He looked back to the werewolf.

Harry put his hands up, but didn't let go of his wand.

"I know you're just a kid. You don't want to do this. I can help you out. I know a potion that can make you in control of yourself." Harry tried to reason. The werewolf didn't understand him. It started to circle around Harry. Harry moved counter-clockwise around the wolf. Harry bared his wand in case it attacked.

The wolf suddenly attacked. It jumped towards Harry, but he slid underneath, and got hit in the face with a clawed paw. The claw scratched down the right side of his face; starting at the forehead, going over his brow and eye, and ending on his cheek.

Harry cried out in pain, and clutched his face. He was bleeding profusely. The werewolf sensed his pain, and watched. Harry scrambled up, but used his left hand to press on the right side of his face to stop the blood. He didn't want to try healing it since eye injuries were tricky.

The wolf ran at him, but Harry moved out of the way. He and the werewolf did this for a long time. What he didn't notice, was a patronus was listening in.

Inside the dinning hall, people gasped at what they heard. Minerva started to panic, and she was rushing out of the hall to rescue him. She called down a Thestral, mounted it, and flew off to find him.

Draco was freaking out, but he continued with the plan. He knew Minerva would get to him soon. The plan was working out well. Ron lured a member out and disarmed him. Luna caused a distraction, which made two more people go to investigate. All that was left was the last person guarding the pot. Draco showed himself and knocked the pot over with a rock, spilling the contents into the ground. He disarmed the bloke, and took his wand. He waited for the horn to sound, and the nightmare to end.

Harry and the werewolf were dancing around each other. Harry tried to stun it, but the pain from his eye started to blur his vision in his other eye. The werewolf took it's chance, and lunged at Harry. The wolf tackled him, pinned him to the ground, and knock Harry's wand out of his hand. The werewolf took a bite at Harry's shoulder, making him scream out in pain. Fortunately, before the werewolf could kill Harry, Minerva flew down with the Thestral, and kicked the back of its head. The werewolf jumped off of Harry, and ran away, scared of the Thestral. Minerva got down, and rushed to Harry. His face was bloody, and his shoulder was mangled.

"I'm so sorry that I'm late." Minerva apologized dearly. She helped Harry up, and grabbed his wand. She helped him onto the Thestral, and they flew away. Harry put the wand close to his mouth, and spoke to the group.

"Make sure you win. I'm disqualified, and being flown to the Hospital wing. I've been bitten ." Harry finished. He said goodbye, and turned the charm off his wand.

Everyone heard Harry's message. Luna finished off the group, and the horn was sounded. Everyone hurried out of the forest, and towards the school. Draco, Luna, Hermione, and Ron got together, and rushed inside. They busted through Madam Pomphreys doors, and looked around. A couple students were in cots, but two people were huddled around one cot. Draco ran to them, with Ron, Luna, and Hermione following.

"I'm so sorry I couldn't get to him in time." Minerva said. Draco looked at Harry in the cot.

His shirt was cut off, which revealed a deep bite that Madam Pomphrey was tending too. Harry's face was bandaged heavily, and covered in dried blood. Draco grabbed onto Harry's hand.

"What happened to his face?" Ron asked.

"He was clawed in the eye." Was all Minerva said. Madam Pomphrey took out a roll of bandages, and started to started to wrap Harry's shoulder. He was unresponsive.

"Why isn't he awake?" Draco asked.

Madam Pomphrey wiped her forehead with her wrist. "Passed out due to the pain." She said.

"I got there just as he was bit." Minerva said. Madam Pomphrey finished bandaging, and left to see the other patients. Draco sat down in a chair next to the cot, and kissed his hand. "Madam Pomphrey is only allowing one guest to be with Harry. I don't think Mr. Malfoy is going to leave anytime soon." She said as she guided the three out of the wing.

"You three should go to your dorms. Tomorrow you have a duel. Since it got so late, and with recent events, I've decided to hold the last tournament tomorrow morning. I'd advise on wearing swimming suits." Minerva hinted them. The three walked off to their dorms, and got cleaned up.

Draco held onto Harry's hand tightly. "I should've helped you." Draco sniffed. He started to cry on Harry's hand. After an hour or so, Draco fell asleep with his head on Harry's cot.
