{Flashback continues}

I cross my arms love my chest waiting for Vanessa to explain herself.

"I love my friends, I really do, but my friends aren't straight and they happened to be huge flirts. And the only way I can stop them from flirting with you is by saying you're my girlfriend. I really like you a lot and I know this seems extra but I just don't want to lose you to one of my friends. Even though I technically don't have you..."

"You really think your friends see me like that? "

"I don't know you just met them! All I know is I want to be careful. So please do me this one favor and go along with it," she begs.

"You are so lucky you're a good kisser V", I sigh with a Sly smile.

" But what does pretending to be your girlfriend consist of?"

"Nothing you already wouldn't want to do," she smirks.

"I'm not sure I'm understanding. I think I might need an example," I flirt.

Her flirty eyes stare into mine before she leans in ever so teasingly, ghosting her lips over mine. I'm about to protest until she finally connects our lips in a longing kiss. I can't help the moan that seeps onto her lips. My hands grab her waist bringing her body flush against mine. Meanwhile, she takes her time deepening the kiss, her tongue gliding past my lips and into my mouth. My left hand removed itself from her waist and travels up her body, only stopping at the nape of her neck. She walks forward pressing my back against the wall, inevitably causing the kiss to break momentarily as a gasp is ripped from the back of my throat before our lips collide once more.

"Well I feel like I just walked onto the set of a lesbian porno, and I'm not going to lie kind of like it."

that voice breaks us apart. Vanessa leans her forehead against mine as we giggle quietly to ourselves.

" I'm assuming that's the Cole guy you were referring to earlier, "I laugh.

" How did you guess", she nudges me jokingly.

She intertwines our fingers as we walk back over to her friends. KJ is sitting against the wall typing away on his phone whilst mads and Lili giggle at Cole who is trying to dry himself off in the Sun.

" So like are we still going hiking?"

Coincidentally, Cole happens to be sharing a room next to mine with KJ. We decided before we go hiking, Cole and I would freshen up as quickly as we could fathom. When I got to I bathed and threw on some khaki shorts paired with a Metallica short sleeve t-shirt before finishing off the look with some old Air Force Ones. I joined the group again and it wasn't long before we were off into the Beautiful nature that is Hawaii.

I notice that Vanessa brought her camera and I was pretty excited to get to see her do what she loves. Last night she told me but how she became a photographer and just what exactly she loves about it. She seemed so passionate about taking pictures and I would love to watch her do so. The dynamic between her friends is an interesting one. it seems like they have been friends all of their lives. The men hang back as the women walk slightly ahead of them but their laughter can be heard from behind us as they jokingly push each other around. I've always been an observant person so it's not surprising to me that I've noticed the way Lili tends to steal glances at Cole from behind us whenever she gets the chance. I have also noticed how mads looks between Vanessa and I longingly. If it wasn't for the way that she so eagerly stole Vanessa away from me yesterday I would think she developed a crush on me. But I know better, I know it's Vanessa she really wants.

"So Y/n, where are you from", Mads asks with a soft smile.

"Kentucky", I answer politely.

"Wow, that's a long way from here," Lili adds.

"Yes it is", I chuckle.

" How did you and Vanessa meet? Have you been here before," mads inquires.

" Ha, no actually I-"

"We met online. I saw her on Instagram and I thought she was the most beautiful girl I had ever seen. So I I messaged her and we spent months talking until I finally convinced her to be my girlfriend and come visit me", Vanessa interjects.

"So why haven't we heard about her until now," Mads questions.

"You guys know how I am, I was shy. I wanted to make sure this wasn't just a fluke. You know, just wanted to make sure she would be in my life for a while."

"So do you plan on visiting more often," mads asks me once more. At this I start to feel a bit uncomfortable, I can tell she's trying to investigate me and she's not being so subtle about it.

"Hey mads you want to stop interrogating my girlfriend please", Vanessa glares.

"It's okay V. To answer your question mads, yes I would love to see Vanessa more often."

For the next few minutes we walk in silence. Even the guys haven't said much everyone seems to be lost in their own little world, admiring the nature surrounding us. We walk uphill until we find a small River. We grabbed some logs knocking them over and setting them out creating makeshift benches for us to sit on.

"Hey Vanessa," Cole calls out.

"Hmm," she hums.

"What's the move for your birthday tonight," he asks brightly.

" Birthday"? Vanessa didn't tell me it was her birthday and I'm kind of disappointed that she didnt.

"Wow V, you didn't even tell your own girlfriend it was your birthday," mads smirks.

" Well I didn't tell her because I didn't want it to be such a big deal. I was thinking about just staying at home anyway."

"You do realize none of us are letting that happen right", KJ points out.

"I don't get why it's such a big deal. So I turned 27 one year closer to having creaking bones and saggy skin."

"Vanessa I'm sure everyone here knows for a fact that you don't age", Lili says which makes everyone laugh Softly.

Vanessa sighs picking up a stray stick, sticking it in the water aimlessly.

" No matter how you look at it V, you know we are getting you so fuking wasted tonight," mads does a little dance of excitement.

"Hell yeah! That new club just opened up to! You even said you wanted to go, tonight is the perfect time and you know it."

" Well I'm down if the birthday girl says it's okay", I add.

"If I agree to this , I won't be the only one getting wasted. Shots all around", Vanessa proposes.

"Anything for the birthday girl", mads smirks deviously.
