it stings to see how we were taught the same

but we learned so differently.

i was always so tired because i was

always so early to everything.

i sat in the empty classroom

waiting for everyone to trickle in.

sometimes i was afraid that one day

no one else would come

and i would be alone all day

and that the next day i'd be responsible

to teach everyone what i didn't learn myself.

thankfully, that day never came.

someone else would always be there with me.
