Dear readers,

Once again, the dream realm has left its mark on me by allowing me to peak into this postapocalyptic world I wrote this book based upon. The dream had haunted me for days, eventually forcing me to write it down. The fear and despair of those moments I experienced as the leading character were too real and have profoundly left their mark on my soul.

I originally wrote Last of Us as an entry to Wattpad's flash fiction trilogy challenge, but I changed my mind as limiting this story to 3000 words would not give it justice. I do not plan it to be a long book, but certainly, I want it to be enjoyable.

I hope that you will enjoy reading it as much as I have enjoyed writing it.
