"The stones." Bonnie handed me the stones and placed the book infront of me. It glowed and the holes were glowing. I could hear whsipers coming from the book to put the stones in it.

It was tempting.

My heart raced and I could feel everyone's stares on me.

I turned to look at Klaus.

He gave me a weak smile and leaned forward to kiss my forehead.

"I'm happy with whatever you choose love." He said and I could feel my heartstrings tug at what he said.

What is going to happen?

I held his hand and he squeezed my hand reassuringly. I glanced behind to see everyone in pairs, being held safely in each other's arms. They were all tense. Just like us.

I saw Elena giving me a firm nod, and pointed at the stones in my hand. She mouthed, 'Do it.'

I looked at my other bestfriend and she gave me a reassuring smile. 'It will be fine.' She mouthed and once again, I turned around to see Klaus. His blue ocean eyes calming my nerves and he held me close. I could feel his fear of letting me go.

I sighed.

"I am going to place it." I announced and all of the whispers stopped. I could feel my own heartbeat. Time seem to go slow. I could hear the faint tick-tock of the wallclock.

Taking the blue stone, I placed it at the hole with the name 'Ophelia'. And the green stone and red stone in their respective places as well.

I turned to look at Klaus and hugged him. He hugged me back and the book started glowing. Really bright. The light was blinding. I hugged Klaus tightly and he did as well. Wind circled everywhere and I felt my hair blowing.

Laying my head on Klaus chest, I could hear his heartbeat racing, his hands holding me tightly towards him. The wind circled us and soon I saw everything fading. Everything around me was fading. I saw Elena looking at me with worried eyes and after a second she wasnt there. The room turned white and the wind suddenly stopped. I looked at Klaus and he looked at me.

I felt myself getting pulled and I was going away from him. Someone was pulling me away from him.

"NO!" He yelled, reaching his arms out for me but he couldn't move.

"Klaus!" I yelled and he faded soon after that and I blacked out with tears streaming down my face.

"Caroline!" I heard someone say.

"Sweetheart.." The same person said and stroked my cheek and my eyes fluttered open. I felt my body lying on a soft bed. My eyes stared at familiar blue eyes and I smiled with happiness. I immediately jumped and hugged him and he hugged me back. His face fell into the crook of my shoulder blade and he sniffed me. I laughed and kissed him on his cheek.

"Did it work?" I asked.

"Look around love." He said and I did.

We were in a bedroom. It was beautiful. And french windows occupied one side of the room and out through the window was the sea.

"Where are we?" I asked.

"Come down." He said and held my hand, leading me out of the bathroom. Immediately, I was greeted by a smell of cake and chocolate. I saw Elena going pass me, winking and I smiled.

I was going to ask her if it worked when Klaus stopped me.

"There is a slight technical fault Love." He whispered in my ear and I looked at him, frowning.

What now?

"No one seems to remember of the past life. Only you and me do." He said and my eyes widened.

"Why?"

"I have no idea." He replied, shrugging his shoulders.

So, it did work.

"Caroline! Come on! I was searching for you. Where were-" Bonnie stopped, looking at Klaus and she suddenly smiled suggestively.

"So you were busy?" She asked me and I blushed while Klaus laughed.

She thought we were ...?

Oh god.

"No." I replied.

"You know what? Stop stealing her away. There are a lots of things to do. Go help Damon there." Bonnie pointed her finger to Klaus and Klaus raised his arms, winking at me and then he jogged away.

"Come!" She said.

"What are we doing?" I asked as I saw Elena and Rebekah arranging chairs on the beach while Stefan, Kol and Damon were setting up curtains over a altar.

"Decoration? For the wedding?" She asked me blankly.

"Whose wedding?" I asked, my eyes widening.

She stopped and turned to look closely at me.

"Did you hit your head on something hard?" She asked.

I shook my head.

"Don't tell me making out with Klaus got you to forget everything going around you." She said.

"No." I said. "Who is having a wedding Bonnie?" I asked and she gave me a weird look.

"Your mom Caroline!" She exploded and rolled her eyes at my silliness.

"My mom?" I asked, widening my eyes and that's when I saw her. My mom and her military boyfriend sitting on the couch and talking to one another happily.

"Bonnie!" Rebekah called and she ran away, leaving me behind.

"Everything ok love?" He asked.

"My mom is getting married." I whispered happily and felt tears brim my eyes.

Everything was perfect. Everyone was happy.

"Shh..." He forced me into his shoulder and I laid my head on it, feeling his warmth and embraced it. I saw a small stubble across his cheek and felt content immediately.

This is my life now and I couldn't be more happier.

"I love you." Klaus whispered and kissed the top of my head.

"I love you too." I said, hugging him back.
