32 | fresh start

"12 MONTHS OF HAPPINESS, 52 WEEKS OF FUN, 365 DAYS OF LAUGHTER, 8760 HOURS OF GOOD LUCK, 525600 MINUTES OF JOY, 31536000 SECONDS OF VICTORY, I WISH YOU A HAPPY NEW YEAR MY DEAR FRIEND!" I heard someone shout in my ear. It was deafening. I groaned and tossed around my bed.

"Caroline!" I heard a stern voice but chose to ignore it. Then, I heard whispering and giggles.

"Hey!" I shouted when I felt cold water on my body. I heard bursts of laughter and sat up straight on my bed to come in face to face with everyone.

"Happy New Year," Elena gave me a sheepish smile and said it softly. I gave her a wicked smile and shouted, "Happy New Year!"

Everyone roared with happiness and cheered. Beer bottles were clinking and Damon was putting foam on Kol's head.

I looked around and realised that we were having a New Year party in our dorm room. I got up and went to the bathroom to wash my face and join the party.

It's a new year. I can't believe it. Past year's sorrows have to be forgotten. This year must be filled with happiness and joy. No more tears. Only cheers. Past year was a hard year. I hope this year is not like that. Even if it is, I have someone to stand with me, through thick and thin.

I felt strong hands wrap around my waist as I washed my face. I smiled. I turned off the tap and turned around to meet him. I splashed water on his face and he chuckled at that.

I brushed my nose with his.

"Happy New Year Sweetheart," Klaus said and kissed my forehead. I sighed out in relief. "Happy New Year," I said and hugged him. He hugged me back and kissed my hair.

"I love you," he said.

"I love you too," I replied and kissed the crook of his neck.

"Come on, let's go out there," I said and pulled away from him. I was going to open the door when I felt someone pull my hand. I smashed against a hard body and my lips collided with soft ones.

I immediately responded and felt sparks running here and there throughtout my body. It was electrifying. If 'Kissing Klaus' was a job, I would be the Manager of the Company.

His palms roamed around my body passionately and I pulled his silky hair softly as I leaned in more.

"We have to get out before something exhilarating happens," I broke off the kiss and said it out of breath. Then, I pulled him towards the door and opened it. All of our friends were partying.

I gave Klaus a wink and left him to join Elena and Bonnie.

"Care bear! Have a drink, it's awesome, " Elena purred and fell on me. I lifted her head up and made her steady before having that drink. The taste of it burned my throat a little.

I had two more cups of it. Soon, I started finding everything funny. Well, I think I'm drunk.

I didn't know why, but my mind wanted to find Kol. I had no idea why. Once I found him, I walked towards him.

"Hey," I said. He whipped his head around and smirked at me. "Yes? In what way can I help?" he asked.

"Don't destroy Bonnie's life," I said. He immediately stopped dancing and glanced at me. "I know that you like Bonnie," I said and shrugged.

"She has been through a lot, I don't want to see her cry because of you," I said.

"You have gained my trust but not hers," I said before I could stop myself. Gosh, I am so drunk. Hurt flashed in his eyes and I realised what I had done.

"I..I didn't mean to hurt you," I explained. He stood frozen and looked down at the floor before he looked up at me.

"Kol, if you really want her, you have to stop your cocky ways and prove to her that you are worth it," I said and hugged him. He hugged me back.

Once we broke from the hug, I winked at him and he chuckled. "Enjoy the party," I said and he smiled genuinely before he continued dancing. I turned around to walk away when I heard him whisper a ,'thank you,'.

Once I left Kol, I went to find Elena and realised that she was nowhere to be found. That's weird. Maybe she went with Damon. I turned around to come in face to face with a drunken Damon who didn't look like he was having a good time.

"Where's Elena?" I asked him. He shrugged. "A place which I am not there," he said.

Um...Okay, then.

I left the grumpy little Damon and went to Bonnie, who was the only sober one here, staring at a certain someone, Kol. I touched her shoulder and she whipped her head around to look at me. I gave her a smile and she returned one.

"Have you seen our Dear Brunette Vampire Friend Elena?" I asked and shook my head to keep myself awake. The Alcohol is starting to cause some symptoms.

"You're drunk," she shrugged and gave me a look. I gave her a pout and she rolled her eyes, looking bored.

"No, I don't," she replied.

"Bonnie, let loose, don't be like this, be free, no one is going to hurt you, have fun, you are in a New Year Party, it's time to have fun Bonnie, come on," I said and dragged her to the middle of the dancers.

Yep, there were other college students here too. Most of the them were invited by Rebekah, I think.

"Dance, Bonnie," I said as I started dancing but she stood still with her arms crossed. I rolled my eyes.

"Stay here," I commanded and went to the table where drink bottles were placed. I grabbed a cup with Alcohol and went towards Bonnie. I found Kol with her and they were both having a staring competition.

"Uh...Bonnie," I said and they immediately broke it off. Kol scratched the back of his neck and looked at me and Bonnie's face turned a slight red as she gave me a relieved look.

I put the cup towards her mouth before she could protest and downed the drink. She gargled. After the cup became empty, I threw it on the floor and looked at Bonnie who looked like she was about to explode.

Time to leave.

"Okaybyehaveagoodtime," I said and rushed off. I heard Kol chuckle at me.

After partying for almost two hours, I was too drunk. If I was a human, I might have died, I was dancing so much and I felt the world blur around me. It must be 3am in the morning now. 2015 has started and the first thing I am doing is partying.

What a wonderful Start!

I felt a pull on my right hand and then the closing of a door and I felt myself slam against a hard wall. I opened my eyes but before I could realise who it was, soft lips crashed against mine and I moaned as I realised who it was.

"I can't hold it back anymore," his husky voice breathed out and it reeked of Alcohol. Probably how mine must have smelt.

I moaned and turned my head to meet his lips. His arms roamed underneath my blue blouse and he lifted it up so quickly. Soon, clothes were flying.

We did naughty and sexy things to each other.

My new year resolutions,

1. Do something crazy and adventurous.

2. Smile. It drives people crazy.

3. Have a fun day with my wonderful family in overseas.

4. Fall in love maybe?

5. Learn something new.

6. Drink more water because I don't really drink water much.

7. I must try to follow at least three resolutions and follow it for a couple of days in 365 days.

8. Get over the fear of bugs and cockroaches in the year 2015.

9. Develop a healthy and fit body.

10. Last but not least, I want to try new food.

I know that my new year resolution list is not really that amazing. But, I hope I achieve them. Once again, Happy new year!
