02 | Tyler calls

                    I BLUSHED IMMEDIATELY. I could hear him walking towards me. I wonder what he was doing here right now. "What are you doing here? And stop eavesdropping," I snapped at him.

"Okay love, but just to let you know Bonnie isn't here," Klaus said with a smirk.

"Then where is she?" Elena asked him. "I am not sure. I have been waiting here for her about the past 10 minutes" he said, his hands behind his back.

"Why are you waiting for her?" I asked to know why he was looking for Bonnie.

"Is someone Jealous?" he said with a smirk, staring at me with his blue eyes. His eyebrows wiggled suggestively.

"Answer me!" I snapped.

"To discuss with her about some witch stuff, since I won't be visiting Mystic Falls for long, this is the last time I will be here, If I am not wrong," Klaus said. Last time? Omg, Klaus is not coming back. I am going to miss him. I can't believe I just said I am going to miss him.

What is wrong with me? Am I-I going to miss him? I swallowed.

I won't be ever able to see him again. But, we won't have any problems anymore but all the thrill and adventures that he put us through is all gone. I am going to miss him so much. I saw him looking at me when I finally came to reality. He noticed it. He knew that I am going to miss him.

"I am going home then Care, see you later and thanks for informing us Klaus," Elena thanked Klaus just like the ever-loving person she is and used her vampire speed to dash off to her car and leave. Not before, she gave me a signal to come along with her but I refused.

Now, It was me and Klaus standing in front of Bonnie's house. It was so awkward.

"Care to join me for a walk since you have nothing on your plate today?" He asked lending his hand. I needed it. A walk with him would be fine before he leaves. I was glad Tyler still haven't arrived yet.

"So, have you called Tyler to inform him about this?" he said.

"Yeah, I did, he didn't call back". When I said that my phone rang. I took out my phone to see who was it. It was Tyler. I quickly picked it up with excitement.

"Hello! Tyler?" I squealed.

"Hello, Caroline! This was - urm - so unexpected - Klaus actually - he gave me freedom? -wow !"

"Yeah, I know! So when are you coming?"

"Urm... care.... about that... I don't think -I don't know but - I won't be coming back.."

My heart sank.

"Why not? What's wrong?" I said wanting to hear a good reason for this.

Klaus looked at me with seriousness. He was listening to the conversation. He also wanted to know what the reason was as he knew Tyler desperately wanted to return before.

"Uhmm - Care - you see - while I was here in this town - I met someone - and it not what you think - it is like we just matched - I wanted to tell you about her - believe me it was hard, "

"WHAT? TYLER? Did you know that I waited for you and I did not go and run off into the sunset with anyone else and this is what you do?"

"Listen, Caroline -"

"Get stuffed! I don't want to hear your explanations. Tyler, I can't believe you, I hate you Tyler, Bye, don't ever come back" I said wiping the tears that had rolled down my cheeks.

I hung up before he could explain about his new girlfriend any further.

All this time, because of him I didn't go with anyone else, especially Klaus. I heard footsteps behind me. I turned to see Klaus. Then, I realised that Klaus was listening to everything. He knew, he wiped away the tears on my cheek using his thumb softly.

"It's okay, It's going to be fine, I assure you," he said looking at me with sincerity. I gave him a weak smile. Before I knew it, he held my hand and led me to my bedroom with vampire speed. I sat down on my bed.

He sat beside me, "Love is a vampire's weakness Caroline, It can cripple you, don't let it in, you need some time away from all this". After about a few seconds which seemed like an hour, he asked "Before I go, I need to ask you something" he asked questioningly. "What is it?" I asked.

"If I had not done those horrible things, would you have accepted me as I am?" He asked with fear in his eyes to what I am going to say.

We both know that whatever I am going to say next is a major jump to our weird and complicated relationship.

"To be honest, yes Klaus, I would have accepted you" I breathed it.

Wait a minute! What did I just say? Did I hear myself correctly? I think my tongue slipped. Yup. It must be that or I have ear wax in my ear.

But, it was true and I also realised that he has changed ever since his feelings for me become stronger.

He stared at me with his blue eyes, in disbelief at what I had just said. "Do you know that love can change a vampire too?" I asked.

He nodded realising what I meant but still staring at me with his blue eyes. "Will you change to a good person if I accept you?" I said. He stopped staring at me and looked down at the floor.

"Will you?"

"Caroline, you are angry with Tyler right now, that is why you are doing all this, don't make a decision that you will regret Caroline," He said turning to leave.

"Klaus maybe you are right, I do need some time away from all this and we can take things slowly too..." I said. He turned around to listen to what I was going to say.

"Take me with you, I accept your offer, I want to know more about you, I have started developing feelings for you since that day when you saved me in Gilbert's house," I said confessing, he stared at me not knowing what to say. I continued.

"I can't do this anymore okay, I was just controlling everything because of Tyler and now he is gone why should I control my feelings?" I said and he started walking towards me slowly.

"I like you, Klaus," I said and before I was going to say anything else, his lips crashed upon mine with passion and fire. He pulled away after about 10 seconds.

"Are you sure about this Caroline? Pls consider this, If you accept me, I will never let you go, I mean it. every single word. Every problem that we encounter I will face it together with you, I will never let you go away from me, I love you, Caroline, I have never in my entire life have said those three words to anyone in my life, you are special, I don't know what I will do without y-" before he could finish I kissed him and said "I am sure Klaus, this is my decision" I said.

He smiled and held my hand to go out of my house. Before leaving I wrote a goodbye note to my mother and told her not to search for me. I know she would understand because of my vampire life.

After that, I went to Klaus's house with him so that I can pack up with him. I was still deep in thoughts that I was running away from home but with him.
