Chapter 8 (Part 2)
UNTOLD SCENES OF CHAPTER 2
AUNT JONAH
Flashback
I watched Apollo closed both of his eyes, while his hands were wrapped around my waist. I smiled softly, as I touched the angelic face of my nephew. He looks so peaceful when he sleeps.
I could see major resemblance to his parents. He got the pair of sapphire eyes from his mother, and the handsome face from his father. I could see them both in Apollo's genes. I felt the heavy pain in my chest when everytime the past memories are still lingering around like a carousel inside my mind.
How they were slaughtered by the shadow humans in front of the young Apollo.
How they tried to capture Apollo from their filthy hands.
How Apollo cried helplessly in the dark, while running away from the shadow humans.
How I saved him, and the night we both escaped from them.
How he got the phobia of the dark.
Lastly, how my nephew was been so afraid of being alone by himself.
In my nephew's darkest years of feeling broken and empty. I was been always there to fill up the unconditional love in his heart. I never leave him, and I always stay by his side. I owned him as my real child. Apollo was like a son to me. I would protect him whatever it takes, even it costs my life
Perhaps I was his beacon of light. I was his strength and the source of energy. I was a part of his wings. Anytime I could help him to break free. Though he was been always the one who pulled himself down. Apollo is such a coward. He never try for himself. The reason why he ended defeated by his fears.
A bolt of lightning interrupted my thoughts. I jumped in surprise, while my other hand was rested over my chest. I could feel my heart beat fast. My nephew was right. Lightning could scare the hell out of anybody.
I put Apollo's arms in his side, and I stood up from the bed. Then I marched towards at the open windows, as I closed them both with my strong hands.
Good thing there was a tiny candle to brighten up my nephew's bedroom. No matter how small the candle was. It could still bring huge light to the room. I wished Apollo was like the tiny candle. Not this moment, but someday he would.
I turned around when I heard a noise outside the bedroom. I caught out of breath because of it, and I could sense danger awaits behind the door.
Well, I was not totally afraid when a bizarre situation like this one. Also, my nephew didn't know I had my powers to protect me, and I was blessed to be the guardian of Apollo. The powers I had was entrusted by the light king to me, in case I was caught by trouble.
I took a deep breath, and I made way towards the door. I leaned my ear against it. I gasped when I heard deep voices in the hallway. I could tell they were having a serious conversation, and its better for me to eavesdrop in what they are talking about.
"Is it true Apollo is next in line to be the ruler of the light kingdom?" he asked to his companion.
"Well, I guess its true, since our master task us to have a search for him and his aunt, who currently has the palace key," the other one replied.
"What is so special about Apollo? He's afraid of the dark, and he can't even rescue himself from danger. In short, he is a coward for God's sake!" He exclaimed.
"Shh, lower down your voice a bit, they might hear us." His companion warned.
"As if, obviously at this hour they are having a peaceful sleep, and it's impossible for them to hear our conversation at this moment," he reasoned out from his companion.
"Well-"
A bolt of lightning surprised the hell out of them. I could feel they wrapped themselves together, as if they were afraid of the lightning.
"Holy shit. This planet earth has a lot of surprises. I almost have a heart attack because of it," he remarked.
"Oh tell me about it," his companion commented.
I mentally laughed at their stupid reactions, too bad they would not survive this long if they were afraid of the lightning.
"What a bunch of weaklings," I mumbled silently, rolling both of my eyes.
They stopped walking, as if they found Apollo's bedroom. I gasped. Oh no. They wouldn't dare to enter inside without getting through me first. After all, I was the guardian of my nephew.
I started to look around the bedroom and I saw Apollo's old baseball bat, leaning quietly beside the brown closet. I tip toed my way towards it, while I avoided to create a sound of heavy footsteps on the wooden floor, for not Apollo to wake up and he wouldn't be alarm at my uneasiness.
Once I grabbed the baseball bat on my hands. I went back at the bedroom door, as I leaned my back against the wall, while I waited for them to enter the room. Though I wanted to knock the lights out of them, and the slight chance for us to escape the house.
I glanced back at Apollo, who was still sleeping peacefully at his bed. I sighed, while tears started to trickle from my eyes. I hoped everything would be alright. I wished I could protect my nephew from danger.
My heart skipped a beat when the bedroom door slowly swung open. I took deep breath, holding the baseball bat on my hands.
One. Two. Three!
I raised the bat into the mid air. When they glanced at me with a shock expression, before they could dodge the attack. I slammed their heads intensely hard. I heard them groaned in pain, as they both fell on the wooden floor.
I directly kicked their manhood really hard, so they couldn't stand up to catch me and my nephew.
I smiled at my small victory, that would teach them. They must learn how to knock at the door before entering the room or better yet, they could slam their stupid heads on the goddamn door.
I quickly grabbed my opportunity to run towards at my nephew. I carefully lifted his body over my chest in a bridal style. Well, good thing he was not that heavy to carry with.

I descended the stairs, while I carried Apollo over my chest, who was still fast asleep. My heart beat fast when everytime danger began to lurk behind the dark. I could sense from afar. Luckily, I saved my nephew from the two shadow humans.
I moved pace quickly as I could when I heard the two shadow human were running on the second floor. Oh no. I must escape my nephew outside this house, as soon as possible.
Before they could capture both of us, I gasped when another three shadow humans appeared before, who were all standing in the front door, as if they were expecting me to be here.
Their eyes were giving me cold stares. I could feel an ice kissed at the back of my neck, as I felt the waves of fright inside of me.
"Hand over us your nephew, and the palace key," the shadowy guy who wore eyeglasses calmly said to me.
"Never." I spitted out that word with poison.
Before I could take a back step, someone from behind hit the back of my head. I winced in pain, as I fell down instantly on the ground. In my blurry eyes. I could see five of the shadow humans took Apollo outside the house.
They couldn't let Apollo die that early. The light kingdom desperately needed him to save them from darkness. The palace needed a next ruler. I don't want to fail on my mission, as my nephew's guardian, I needed to protect him.
This couldn't be. I needed to save my nephew from danger, but my body was far too weak to stand up. While I was left crying with tears on my crestfallen face.
"No. Apollo dear," I sobbed, tears spilled out from my eyes, as I lost my consciousness.
End Of Flashback
I opened my eyes slowly, as I touched both of my cheeks. I realised I was been crying the moment I got separated from Apollo.
I was always been the brave one, but when comes to my nephew. I felt weak and hopeless because he was no longer at my grasp. I was no longer there to guide his path, and protect him from danger. Though I would pray that everything would be fine to his difficult quest.
I would wait for his return here in this palace. The light kingdom needed him. The whole world was depending on him. I just hoped Apollo could conquer all of this without fear.
My thoughts crumbled to dusts when the shadow king screamed at the top of his lungs. I creased my eyebrows in curiosity, as I glanced at his direction.
My eyes were sparkled with joy. I could see Apollo through the mirror portal, holding a knightsword on his hands, while fighting a bunch of shadow humans. That's my nephew! Go kick their stupid butts up in the air.
"I'm proud of you, Apollo dear," I muttered under my breath, while tears trickled down my cheeks.
I glanced at the shadow king. I could see his face boiled up with anger. His hands balled into fist. Apollo did a good job to make the king piss so bad.
"How disappointing. We must sent more army outside the palace at once!" the shadow declared angrily at his group.
"Sir. Yes. Sir." they all shouted in unison, then they bowed their head down before the shadow king.
"I don't want that Apollo to be the first to enter this palace, you must get the key from him, and we must stop him at once!" he exclaimed, gritting his teeth.
His shadow army nodded slowly, as if they understand on what they were told to do.
"Alive or dead. You must capture him first, and if you all succeed, bring that young man here, so I will teach a lesson out of him." the shadow king later added with a smirk on his face, as his eyes landed at me. "Your nephew will be dead as soon as possible, when my powerful army attack at him all together."
I stopped, when a creepy smile curved his lips.
Oh. No. This could not be good.
