Chapter 20 Niall POV Day 25 of Tour: Topeka

Our music played overhead as I signed another autograph, took another picture, hugged another fan. Four days into Topeka Kansas and I was already in love with the place. The people were so nice, the venues so pretty.

"Niall I love you!" A little girl looked up and me and screamed.

"I love you too!" I gave her a bear hug.

She screamed again.

The world went in fast forward as we worked throughout the morning into lunch. Well, I wouldn't really call it work. I loved it too much to even consider it to be "work". At one thirty sharp my stomach started to growl and management pulled us away from the fans for a quick break. I smiled and waved at as many of them as I could before being shoved into a red and black pop up tent.

"God it's nice to have AC," Harry stood in front of a tiny fan and flipped his hair around. It was about eighty five degrees at our outdoor venue, even if the sun was hidden behind those ugly grey clouds.

I laughed at him. I remembered my phone I had sitting in my back pocket and pulled it out. Charlotte hadn't texted me, but she rarely ever did unless I were to first.

I pressed send, knowing she would get it after she ate her lunch. She was so close to being done with high school! I knew it pained her to be sitting in those stuffy hotel rooms all day long.

On top of a few fold-out tables were bags of fast food. I smiled and grabbed the one marked with an N.

From in my pocket my phone buzzed.

Niall is everything okay?? Are you mad? Why are you using lyrics??

I blinked. What the hell?

After I stuffed a wad of chips into my mouth I went back to look at me sent text... maybe she had misinterpreted something.

It all made sense as I looked at the autocorrected version of my message:

We need to talk.

I'm going out of my mind, all day and all night.

"Louis! I told you not to mess with my phone!" I shouted around a mouth full of burger.

"HAHAHAHAHAHA!" Lou shouted back at me. I rolled my eyes and sent her another text.

No! Sorry... Louis hacked my autocorrect settings. What's up with my pretty girl??

Harry sat down next to me as I finished my burger. He stole one of my chips. "I already ate mine!" He reasoned when I glared at him. My phone started to vibrate.

You're so cheesy sometimes... but that's what makes you beautiful.

"Oh that's a good one," Harry noted in an impressed tone. He stood looking over my shoulder at my IPhone screen.

I turned my phone into my chest so he couldn't be such a stalker. "Go away," I told him since he couldn't or wouldn't get the point otherwise.

"Fine then!" He scoffed.

Once he had wandered over to bug Liam I sent Charlotte a reply.

Lately I've found myself thinking and dreaming about you a lot. Up in my head I'm your boyfriend...

Hold up.

I AM YOUR BOYFRIEND!!!

And they don't know about us ;)

Her reply popped up in a white bubble.

Is that from the new song?? The one that took you guys forever to think of a name for?

Ha-ha that's funny. You know, because it's so obvious!?!

"Niall! We have to get back out there!" Liam called from the front of the tent.

My fingers flew over the keys to send her a quick goodbye.

Have to go now.
