Chapter Three

When the train arrived to the castle, the group headed for the carriages as Stella bossed them along trying to avoid Teddy and Victoire at all costs.

"Quit shoving, I'm moving!" Henry said.

"Well move faster!" Stella said before climbing into a carriage.

"Someone is incredibly grumpy." Henry whispered as he leaned into Hope.

"This is how it's always been between them, you know that. It's not like this is new." Hope whispered back to him.

"I say we get into another carriage."

Hope glanced around before shrugging.

"Okay, I'm in."

Henry grabbed her hand and led her along pass the carriage where Stella, Eliza and Elliot were.

"You think Elliot is going to be upset that we left him?" Hope asked.

"Nah, it's almost like having alone time with Eliza, I'm sure he'll be thanking us."

"I'm sure we're in for another angry quidditch baby beat down." Hope groaned before climbing into an empty carriage behind him.

"He'll live. Teddy on the other hand, if he keeps bothering Stella..he's as good as dead."

"But it's Teddy." Hope said. "He lives to bother...it's also one of my favorite things about him."

Henry made a face at her as they settled in. She giggled as she leaned against him propping her feet up until other students made their way in.

"So what's the plan this year, Hopey?"

"I dunno. Dad and Uncle George gave me a enough supplies to sell and use, that will probably last until we graduate." She told him.

"Oh that sounds like fun. Always a fan of Weasley products."

"I know, I'm the best one though."

"Conceited is what you are." he responded before flicking her on the ear.

"Ow!" she scrunched her face up as she grabbed at her ear, rubbing it gently. "Git, that hurt!"

She attempted to flick him back but he continued to block her over and over, until she used her other hand and successfully managed to get through, however, she ended up poking him in the eye.

"Ooops."

"My eye! Why did you go for the eye?!"

"Because you wouldn't let me get your ear! Or your nose! I had to go for something!"

"Or you could have just let it go."

"Pfft, no way."

"I thought I heard you two!"

The two turned to see Benjamin McGregor climb into the carriage.

Hope greeted the fourth year boy with a wave and smile. "Hey Benji, how was your summer?"

"Long." Benji answered. "Traveled with my mum and dad for the quidditch season. I did see Elliot during some matches, I thought I might catch a glimpse of you guys too."

"I thought your dad was finally retiring from quidditch after his head injury last year?" Henry said.

"That's what Mum and I thought too. But..I guess not. They had a pretty good season though."

"Well, I'm glad he's not retiring, your father is a legend out on the pitch. Can't place against Ace!" she chanted.

"Not to mention she fancies your father." Henry whispered.

"I do not! I just admire skill when I see it." Hope said folding her arms over her chest.

"You also admire the poster in your roo-" Hope took her bag and covered Henry's face before he could say anymore in front of the McGregor boy. She flashed a smile at the Ravenclaw quidditch player as Henry struggled under the bag trying to remove it.

"Should I expect to see you out on the quidditch pitch again this season?" Benjamin asked her. "Gryffindor had a great season last year. Finished second against us."

"I guess I might stick around for another season." Hope told him.

"You guess? Come on, you have a natural talent as a Beater." Benjamin grinned at her, while running his hand through his dark hair smoothly.

Hope beamed proudly. "That's because I learned from the best. Anyways, we'll see."

"We'll see, McGregor!" Henry batted his eyelashes at Hope as they entered the castle after the carriage ride.

"Shut up, I do not sound like that, and what is the problem with having a friendly chat with him?"

"Friendly chat? Is that what you want to call it?"

"What would you call it then?"

"I think Benji was having a friendly conversation with you, but you were eyeing him like piece of meat!"

"I was not! You take that back!"

"You like him, don't you?"

"No, I don't!" Hope turned red in the face as she tried to drown him out by clapping her hands over her ears.

"Hopey wants to snog Benji!"

"Quiet! Don't go yelling that out loud."

"Aha! So you don't deny it!"

"I swear, Henry Black, if you don't stop it."

"Benji and Hopey sitting in a- ARGH!"

Hope wasted no time in pouncing on Henry in the middle of the corridor outside the Great Hall knocking him to the floor.

"Mercy! Mercy!" Henry called out as some of the other students heading to the Great Hall stopped to watch, some of them laughing and cheering Hope on."Merlin's beard, you're strong!"

Nixie and Sirius were on their way to the Great Hall along with Remus to join the other professors before the Sorting Ceremony and the Welcoming Feast, only to see the two. Hope had Henry in a headlock while Henry attempted to tap out.

"I don't know whether to stop Hope or cheer her on." Sirius said. "I'm completely conflicted right now."

"Sirius, that is your son." Remus said.

"I know and that's your granddaughter, you should be the one cheering her on!"

"Knowing Henry, he probably deserves this." Nixie sighed shaking her head. "He did something he shouldn't have. Another thing he gets from you."  She looked at Sirius.

"Oh sure, let's put all the blame on me every time he does something he's not supposed to. But do I complain when you take the longest showers in existence back home? Hmmm?"

"Yes, you do. You complain nearly everyday about it. And yes, he does get that from me. But I rather have a child who enjoys bathing rather than one that doesn't." Nixie told him before leaving to enter the Great Hall.

Sirius looked to Remus who shrugged.

"She has a point. No one wants a smelly child."

Sirius grumbled something inaudible to himself before Remus sighed.

"We should probably go stop them."

"Or...we can stand here and watch."

"My granddaughter has your son in a headlock, Sirius and he's been pleading mercy for five minutes!"

"You're right..it's getting quite sad on Henry's behalf, alright..let's go stop it."

Before the men could even think about moving in the direction, Hope and Henry seemed to have finished their battle as Hope was helping Henry to his feet before they headed into the Great Hall.

"That was easy!" Sirius brushed his hands together.

"I think you nearly ripped my ear off at one point..." Henry said rubbing his ear as the two sat down at the Gryffindor table.

"Here, let me see." Hope said looking it over. "It's a little red but it looks fine...you'll live..Sorry about that."

"No it's okay, I shouldn't have announced you need of snoggi-"

"Henry!"

"Just joking!" he placed his hands up. Hope stuck her tongue out at  him with a small smile before leaning her head against his shoulder.

Suddenly, they were approached by Elliot before he headed over to the Ravenclaw table.

"You jerks left me!" he said.

"I told you he was going to mad, Hope, what is wrong with you?!"

"But I.."Hope looked to Elliot before she narrowed her eyes at Henry. "I was the one who-"

Henry covered her mouth before turning to Elliot. "I'm sorry Elliot, I tried to tell her that we needed to keep you company because of Stella...but she insisted that you needed some alone time with Eliza."

Elliot turned completely red in the face, not saying anything before he quickly turned away and left to the Ravenclaw table where Eliza was already seated.

Henry lowered his hand and let out a laugh before turning to see Hope glaring him down.

"You are so dead."

"Mercy?"
