Chapter Fifty Three
A/N: Some of you really need to clean those dirty mind of yours, just because characters don't want to spend the night alone, doesn't mean they are preparing to pork for the stork. For the love of Merlin.
Fergus was the first in the boy's dorm to wake up the next morning. He sat up in his bed in a groggy stupor, wiping at his eyes as he let out a small yawned. He stretched out his upper body and went to call out to Henry that they had managed to wake up on their own again that morning. However, as he looked across the way he noticed something that made his eyes widened in disbelief. Curled up in Henry's bed was obviously Henry, but nestled into his side was Hope.
The boy let out a squeak before frantically jumping out of his bed and running over to the two. He smacked Henry's arm hard, causing the Guppy Puppy to rise from his slumber. He turned his head abruptly to face his friend with a confused look.
"Merlin, Fergie, what was that for? I wasn't snoring, was I?"
Fergus placed his hands on his hips and tapped his bare foot against the floor. " Snoring should be the least of your concerns right now, Black. What are you doing?!"
"What are you-"
Before Henry could finish his question, Fergus jerked his hand out and pointed to where Hope was still asleep, lying beside Henry.
The boy turned a slight pink before sighing heavily.
"Look, it's not what you think...Hope didn't want to sleep alone last night and we were going to sleep on one of the sofas downstairs in the common room, but all these idiots were making so much noise...I can't go up to her dorm, so I just thought-"
"Did you think of any of the prefects walking in here and catching you?" Fergus ran his hand through his hair. "Honestly, Henry, this isn't a good idea."
"She was upset, what did you want me to do? Just send her off to bed like that? No." Henry shook his head, causing his hair to hit in the face a couple of times in the process. "I don't care if it gets me in trouble, I wasn't going to leave her like that."
"Yeah well-"
Suddenly, the two boys heard the voice of one of the male prefects making rounds. Their eyes widened as Henry quickly shot out of his bed and covered Hope with his blankets.
"What do we do? They going to notice the obvious lump in your bed!" Fergus whispered to him.
"Um... Umm...." Henry looked all around for the answers when he spotted one of their other dorm mates returning from the showers. "Josh, get out here!"
"What? Why?" The boy eyed the two friends in confusion.
"Just do it!" The two yelled at him.
Hope was enjoying her peaceful slumber when she suddenly felt the weight of three people sitting on her as she lied on her stomach.
"Merlin.." She squeaked as she found herself unable to breathe. She was about to call out and curse whoever was sitting on her, but quickly froze upon hearing the voice one of the male prefects.
"What are you three doing?" The prefect asked.
"Henry just got a new duvet and it feels amazing." Fergus lied straight through his teeth. "We're just testing it out."
There was an awkward silence in the room and Hope prayed the prefect wouldn't ask anymore questions. It must have been the case where he believed the three boys as the weight was suddenly lifted off of her.
She gasped for air as the blankets were ripped off of her, as she sat up. Josh let out a scream before Henry and Fergus clapped their hands over his mouth to prevent the prefect from returning.
"You all..." Hope breathed. "Need to lay off the potatoes at dinner."
She rubbed her back. "Merlin, it felt like Buckbeak was sitting on me...or Hagrid."
Escaping the boy's dorm and returning to the girl's for a quick shower and to get dressed, as soon as Hope had her shoes on, she made her way to the Great Hall in hopes of talking to her grandfather or one of the adults.
However, as she arrived, none of them seemed to be present.
"Of course," she sighed. "The one time I actually need an adult, I can't find one." She glanced around and spotted Eliza sitting by herself at the Ravenclaw table with a frown.
She made her way over and sat across from her.
"Hey Eliza-"
"If you're here to yell at me, Hope, please just give me a few minutes. I've been getting enough grief as it is." The girl said.
"I'm not here to yell at you." Hope told her. "But I'm guessing everyone else is pretty upset-"
"Elliot, let me hear it last night. He wouldn't even let me talk and he wouldn't even look at me this morning in the common room. Stella isn't exactly thrilled with me either, especially after we got Grandma Molly's howler this morning."
Hope flinched. "I suppose I should be expecting mine from her?"
"No, we were all included in that one. Be thankful you missed it."
Hope sighed in relief. She had heard all about Grandma Molly's howlers and she did not want to experience one.
"Besides, I'm sure your grandfather gave you an earful last night." Eliza said looking up at her.
"Eh...not really but I'm sure my mother is going to be throwing a fit. Hopefully, Dad can calm her down a bit."
"I don't even want to think of what my mum is going to say." Eliza groaned dropping her chin to rest on the table. "She's probably going to send Norberta or Sultan to fry me to bits."
"Why did you enter our names, El?" Hope questioned curiously.
"Because, I was so tired of everyone just seeing me as the calm and responsible twin. I'm the one who's supposed to keep everyone in line and do the right thing all the time. It's no fun...I just...I just wanted to do something different. But apparently..I just made a huge mess. We can back out-"
"No." Hope reached her hand out and grabbed her cousin's, giving it a gentle squeeze. "We can do this. I mean, who better than the Weasley family to represent Hogwarts?"
Eliza gave her a small smile before they were joined by someone else at the table. They were surprised to see Victoire sitting with them, a nervous glance on the girl's face, despite the fact that she was only sitting with family.
"Sorry," she said, "I didn't mean to interrupt the conversation. And I know I'm the last person you two would like to talk to-"
Hope frowned. "Why would you think that?" she asked. "You act like you're some sort of monster or something."
"Well, you all never seem very fond of me when I'm in your company." Victoire said quietly.
"That's not true!" Hope argued.
"Hope, you called me Icky Vicky."
"Of course I did!" Hope agreed. "You were eating peas...gross gross peas. Besides, I call everyone a name. Yours just happens to rhyme with Icky. Nothing personal. Although, it became slightly personal when you called one of my mother's jumpers ugly."
Victoire pressed her lips together. "I'll admit that was wrong of me, I just have a different sense of fashion. Sorry."
"No need to apologize." Hope smiled at her brightly before the girl turned to face Eliza.
"But you and Stella don't really like me...at least, Stella doesn't at all." She pointed out.
"Stella doesn't like anyone, Victoire." Eliza told her. "You know how she is...the only person she likes is Teddy and she can't even bring herself to admit that."
"I suppose me hanging around Teddy quite a bit doesn't help that situation, does it?" Victoire sighed.
"Not really." Eliza chuckled. "But you're allowed to hang out who you want with. Don't think we don't like you because of it."
"Well, Stella ...she has a better chance with Teddy than I ever will. You should see the way he's looked at her when he knows she's not looking."
Hope gave the girl a small pat on the shoulder. "There, there, Vicky."
Glancing around, Hope let out a laugh that brought her cousins to look at her.
"What's so funny?" Eliza asked.
"All the Weasley girls have problems and we're only now going to each other for help. Did we learn nothing from how the Weasley family works? We're always supposed to rely on each other. We all deserve Howlers from Grandma Molly."
