S I X
The next day, day two I woke up in the alleyway him sitting across of me. I understood later why he brought me to the alleyway. I threw up as soon as my eyes opened. I couldn't see his face, my eyes clouded, my stomach giving up everything in my body.
When it was over I closed my eyes and tilted my head back to hit the brick wall behind me. The bad taste lingering in my mouth.
"Did I sleep here?" I asked weakly and Taehyung said "No, I brought you here an hour ago so when this happens we don't need to pick it up." He said it as if this happened before and there was a protocol.
"Phase 4" He started off before I cut him off, "What about phase three?" I asked and he shrugged.
"It already happened" he said, "You know what I'm talking about"
I was confused unaware, was it something he told me that I didn't remember, did we do something more than dance? He answered my question without me asking.
"You blacked out, but we didn't do anything after dancing, I didn't let anything happen to you, now stand up before your own puke gets on you" He says sternly, like an elder scolding someone younger for committing such an ugly act.
"I have to change I have work to get to, I'll meet you here, then phase four starts, okay Jungkook?"
The way he said my name, it made me complete inside.
"Y eah that sounds great"
I rushed to my house, I walked inside my older brother there, he was studying in the states, I didn't expect him to come back so soon. I smelt like puke and alcohol, I smiled at him.
"Who's clothes are those?" he asked looking up from the newspaper he was holding.
"My new friend" I said and he gave me a questionable look.
"You haven't seen me in two years and you ask about the way I look?" I questioned and we both laughed. Before he could get any closer I rushed to the bathroom where I locked myself in to take a long shower.
I got dressed and put on some jeans and a random t shirt since I had to go to work. I walked into the sandwich shop and checked in, getting my waist apron and black hat from my locker. I put them on and stood at the cashier next to my coworker.
The light hurting my eyes, my head throbbing.
"You're not looking so good, maybe you should go home" She said in a whisper
"I'm fine"
she laughed
"You're hung over" I glared at her, the bell rang signaling costumers, I looked up and there I saw the last two people I wanted to see walk in, his arm around her shoulders. I took off I went to the back room,
"Jungkook! What the heck" My coworker said after me. I hid breathing heavily until I was sure they were already seated and eating. I went back.
"Sorry, I was doing hang over things" I said not making up a good excuse and not wanting to say I was on the bridge of crying. I couldn't stop staring at them.
---
After work I walked my sorry ass over to the alleyway. My throw up was gone, he was right, no need to clean up. It was three and I realized he never gave me a time to meet him, or his number, and I don't even know where he works.
I walked back and forth for about two hours, my head wrapped around the girl who I thought was the love of my life and the man I met a day before who I danced with happily.
I was starting to think everything was a sweet bad dream.
"Jungkook" I stopped walking back and forth and before I could look for the voice, arms were wrapped around me. The smell of his cologne making its way to my nose. He put his chin on my shoulder, resting it there. His breath on my neck, I stood stiffly surprised.
"Taehyung, whats phase four" I asked and he took his head off my shoulder, arms away from me. I felt lonely suddenly, I craved the warmth of his body on mine, I craved it. I just didn't quite realize it.
"In every heart break, theres the memories, the ones of you and your significant other at your best and the moments of you both at you worst, pick one to go through first"
"The bad?"
"Wrong"
I turned to look at him
"Look at the good first, the good is what haunts you the most"
his voice soft but harsh at the same time.
"Tell me, where did you ask her to go out with you, lead me there"
like his voice controlled me, like I was his robot programed to be a navigation system and follow his command, I took him to the exact spot on the stupid kids play ground. I told him my story and he acted like he was her.
"Is that what she was like right?" He asked at the end.
