RECAP

"You've never been to the mall before have you?" Jes asked incredulously, looking at me in udder disbelief.

"Nope. Only once and I didn't really pay any attention to it." I said, turning to her and shrugging half-heartily. The look on her face was priceless, pure shock, mouth agape, and eyes bugging out. "What?!" I asked, my voice cracking at the end, causing my voice to raise an octav.

"Oh my god. You have not lived my dear Madison. Prepair to feel my wrath." She said, beggining to pull me toward the doors since we had stopped walking previously. 'Oh dear lord save me.' I thought frantically, scared of what Jes was going to do in her wrath.

'This was going to be a long day.' Was my last thought before being pulled into the throng of people.

PRESENT

"Jes, this is literally the millionth store you've pulled me in to, it's been four hours. Can we go home?" I asked Jessica, putting a light pleading tone in my voice.

"No. Not until we find a ton of things that you look good in and like." She responded, looking through a rack of cut off shirts, pulling out a black one with a skull on it. I groaned as she put it against my body, before looking down to my body. I actually liked this shirt. Once my bruises go away I should be able to where this without a problem. It would be a change from sweats or skinny jeans and a baggy sweater.

"I already have so many things I like. And things you've forced me to get." I responded, looking down to the many bags in both of our hands and rolling my eyes. "But I do really do like this shirt."

"See, I told you. If we skip stores they'll probably be something you like in them. We can't go home now." Jessica said in a 'duh' sort of manner. Jes continued to practically skip around the store, looking at every possible item she could.

I started walking around, meandering and slightly looking at the racks of clothes. A really cute sweater caught my eye and I grabbed it. It had a sweetheart neckline and was a light beige color. It had a high low waist and had little black birds flying over the entire sweater.

"That's majorly your style, Madi." I heard Jes say from behind me. I jumped slightly, she'd made her way across the store and right behind me without me noticing.

I grabbed my size and let it hang off my arm. "Yeah. I think it's the best thing I've gotten since I've been here." I turned to look at her as she scoffed.

"Not possible Madi. I mean, I'm doing half your shopping." Jessica said in a joking manner, a smile lighting up her face.

I rolled my eyes before saying, "at least you mostly know what I like." I laughed before walking up to the counter and Jes payed for our stuff. "Okay, I am only going to two more stores, and it's gonna be Hot Topic and Spencers. I will sit in the car and wait for you if you don't agree."

"Fiine." Jes groaned and huffed as we walked out of the store.

As we walked I saw the Hot Topic on the left and for once got excited for shopping. I practically ran into the store and went straight to the gages.

I excitedly called over a worker and asked her to take out certain pairs of 14's-4's. After I got them I thanked her and went to the band tee's. I grabbed quite a few and a couple pairs of black skinny jeans. Walking over to the belts I grabbed a Harry Potter and Lord of the Ring buckle belts and walked back to Jessica.

Jes shook her head at me but didn't say anything about it and walked to the counter. I put my stuff down and waited for the items to be scanned, watching each one get dropped into a bag.

After Jes payed we walked around until we found where the Spencers was. I walked in and looked around. Seeing a rainbow beanie, I automatically grabbed one and claimed it as mine.

Grabbing a couple other things, including some hats and a batman t-shirt, I walked back to Jes, who surprisingly had a couple things of her own. Going to the counter, Jessica payed and we walked out of the store, finding our way back to the front doors. I took a giant breath as we stepped outside, exhaling all of the anxiety that the trip created.

"Wasn't that fun?" Jessica asked in a sarcastic tone, she knew I was miserable.

"Yeah, so much fun." I replied with as much sarcasm as my tiny body could muster. Jes and I kept walking, looking for the car as we went. We quickly came across it and got in, putting the multitude of bags in the back.

The car ride home was pretty uneventful and we soon pulled into Jessica's driveway. Jess grabbed most of the bags and we walked up to the house and went inside, disposing the bags on her bedroom floor.

"So, now that I forced you to go to the mall, what would you like to do with your day?" She joked and smiled as she played with her hair.

"Umm...weell..." I began.

"Netflix." We both said at the same time and laughed before Jess went to get popcorn and I set up Netflix on the tv and got the bed comfy.

Within ten minutes we had gotten a movie set up, gotten situated and were comfortably eating popcorn....

Within forty five minutes half of our popcorn was god knows where as we had gotten in a food fight, mimicking the scene from the movie.

"How did you manage?" I laughed as I pulled yet another piece of popcorn out of my hair and threw it at Jess.

"How did you manage?" She squealed out, pulling out two pieces of popcorn from down her shirt, behind her back.

We both laughed and went back to gathering popcorn(little difficult with one hand) and resettling.

For the rest of the night we watched shows and movies and laughed and screamed and I had the best time I had in a long time...
