"You should never reach out for beauty out of fear for tainting it" Tyki warned as he stepped out into the opening, watching his beloved admire the black and white butterflies dancing in the air just in his reach.

"Maybe some beauties are worth tainting" Lavi argued back with a grin pulling on his lips, his gaze never leaving the butterflies but his twitch of the shoulders told him enough that he was listening to each step taken towards him.

"Is that encouragement to keep laying my hands on you? To be tainted or not, you've accepted such a fate" Tyki smoothly asked, letting his voice husky as he slipped his arms over the other's shoulders and loosely curled them around their neck. Feeling his back pressed against his own chest, sharing each other warmth and taking the comfort over feeling them alive with each heart beat passing by.

"I was tainted long before you ever decided to reach for me" Lavi promised as one of his hands reached up to hold at his wrist, his thumb stroking comfortingly over his forearm.

"Something broken can always be fixed. It may not stand as perfect as it once did but it can still survive with a few cracks carved in" Tyki reassured as he pressed his lips to the other's hair before burying his face into the gingery red hair and inhaling the scent he's learn to learn by heart. A scent he smells even when the other isn't around or close by, a scent that chases away his loneliness.

"Is there truly any innocence around these woods?" Lavi quietly sighed as he closed his eyes, praying this mission would fall empty and give them a few hours to just exist together.

"You shouldn't ask the enemy such questions. We may agree to leave our different roles in this war to the side but we can't openly help each other. Whoever do find the innocence get's to keep it and if we fail to find any than we accept that as well" Tyki scolded him with a small frown, slipping his arms away and stepping back while his eyes scanned over his beloved, no new injuries or scars seemed to have been gained since their last meeting.

"At least I won't have to fear over any akuma ruining our romantic stroll through the snow covered woods" Lavi grinned back, easily hopping over and taking hold of his hand. Their fingers lacing perfectly together as if they always belonged together.

"And how can you be so sure?" Tyki asked with a mocking grin, giving their joint hands a squeeze as they started their stroll through the woods to find the innocent reported in the area.

"You'd never allow your babies to flutter about when akuma are about. Won't risk them being damaged" Lavi smugly answered with a knowing look as the butterflies followed along above their heads while taking care to never actually touch him.

"It's dangerous that you know me so well" Tyki huffed back but the amused clear in his eyes.

"You've learnt just as much in return" Lavi argued back, fondness in his tone.

The air around them turned into a content silence  as their arms lightly brushed against each other. The only sounds heard was their boots crunching in the set snow lightly sprinkled over the woods ground and a few owls calling out in the distance. It was late evening, growing dark but still held just enough bit of light for them to make out shapes and shadows while they walked along.

An odd and unfamiliar sound caught them both off guard before the stood in a defensive stance. Either they were both wrong over an Akuma being sent after the innocence with Tyki or another form of trouble might be on the heels.

Tyki simply stood taller, his hand reaching for his top hand while his butterflies fluttered dangerous but steeling anyone's breath as they swirled around the pair of them protectively like a swarm of bees.

Lave hand slips to his holster, ready to rip out his hammer and do some real damage to anyone who stands as a threat towards them. A quick glance to his lover beside him and knowing things were about to get real difficult if it ended up being someone from the order.

And so the wild beast stepped out from the shadows casted by the tree's around it. Four legs lightly stepping into the snow and holding up it's proud but growing body. Cute, tiny ears perked up and glass eyes stared toward them, it's small nose twitching as it tries to figure out if they stood as a threat or not.

"Aww, it's so cute!" Lavi cooed out, slipping his hand free from his beloved and racing towards the young reindeer before them.

"Don't touch it" Tyki snapped back in fright but knowing his words of warning fell to deaf ears as his beloved still latched himself to the animal.

"Think the order will let me keep he-him?" Lavi started to ask with a bright smile, awkwardly ducking his head and correcting his mishap over the gender before it was too late.

"We're not keeping him. He's a wild animal. He's now some stray cat you may keep" Tyki huffed back in annoyance while he straighten his top hat again.

"But he's adorable. I'm gonna call him Kanda" Lavi smiled back, his eyes in heart shapes as he rubbed his cheek against the animal side. His arms stayed wrapped around the animal as if it was some old dog from his past.

"Don't one of your .. friends already hold such a name?" Tyki commented with a raised eyebrow and already expecting his beloved to gain a new scar or injury by the so called friend when they meet again.

"Yeah but now I have a better reason to carry on calling him Yuu. It'd get confusing if I called them both Kanda. So Yuu will stay as Yuu and this little guy will be Kanda" Lavi explained his reasoning as he stood up once more, dusting the snow from his knees and being left with soaked trousers in the knees and shins.

"I think we both already know you'd stay calling him his first name if you held a pet or not" Tyki chuckled back and keeping his distance from the animal and lifting one hand to half his own beauties that still fluttered above ready to defend if called upon.

"I wonder where Kanda came from?" Lavi curiously muttered out as he ran a hand through the tamed animal thin fur and happily petting him.

"Didn't your parents ever tell you over the birds and bees. They should have due to how far our relationship has gotten" Tyki joked back, silently loving the sight's of his joy filled lover with the animal. It was moments like this that kept him sane through all the blood and horrors of the Earls war.

"I mean these woods have been cleared from any on foot animals for years. Only birds or owls stay in these creepy woods. Where could Kanda have came from, he seems like he's just grown from being a calf" Lavi replied with a small frown as he started walking around Kanda, searching for any injuries or signs that might explain the poor animal being alone out here.

"Must have travelled. Neither of us have ever stayed in one place after all. Animals can be the same. Now let's return to our stroll. We know better than to push our luck with time" Tyki simply offered his own thoughts as he stepped over, carefully gripping at his beloved arm and pulling him closer before slipping one arm around his waist to keep him close.

"Kanda is coming with us. We're adopting him" Lavi stated as if it wasn't much of a big deal to do.

"I'm not keeping him. He's better off as a shield against any un-expecting Akuma for you" Tyki frowned deeply as he wasn't taking in some smelly and wild animal apart from his own Rabbit that he held happily in his arms. The only use that this "Kanda" held was to  act as protection for his beloved.

"You can't say such mean things to our son. Don't worry, papi still loves you and so do daddy even if he is being grumpy" Lavi snapped back, stepping out from the hold and huddling to their "son" before washing him with cuddles all over again.

"He's not our son" Tyki sighed as he pinched the tip of his nose, knowing their lovely and peaceful stroll through the woods would be ruined for good now.

"He is now. We're taking him in" Lavi stubbornly replied as he stared up with his best puppy eyes towards his beloved. His cheek pressed into the side of Kanda, hoping that two set's of puppy eyes will win him over.

"And how do you expect two enemies holding a secret relationship to care for him? I can't take him back otherwise he'd be killed for the fun of it and I can't show attachments. The order wouldn't be thrilled by you bringing him back either. It's best to leave him as a wild animal, to be free" Tyki tried reasoning him with a put out expression since he never thought he'd actually have to reason with his lover over such a topic before. They both knew the dangers their relationship brought and knew how to step with care. But a single reindeer was clearly getting in the way of that.

"I've never been a fan of Christmas. I've lived to many fake lives and used so many names I've forgotten my real one by now. But I found happiness, with you. It's Christmas eve and I just want to have a feel of what's it like to be a family. To spend such time's with love ones without having to lie to their face at the same time. If we take Kanda in than it shows we're meant to last. That come Christmas day I won't be forced to fight you to the death or in return you having to set up some god awful trap against me. If we agree to accept Kanda than we've got hope to stay together, to one day find somewhere we can both call home" Lavi admitted with a sad smile as he clung to Kanda just a little more, desperate to hold onto the thought of them both reaching a happily ever after one day.

"You are my home, rabbit. Have been for some time now" Tyki gently promised as he kneeled before his beloved, his hands cupping his cheeks and forcing him to look into his honest and warm eyes.

He's always been his home, long since he even realized his heart had been stolen away by him.
