Prompt: Christmas Shopping at the mall. 

Side Note: I really struggled with them hence it's going to be rather short and not much. I apologize for how lame this turned out but I don't have much mall experience or a healthy relationship experience either. So fluff at the mall is rather difficult for me to write.

It was meant to be a group activity than just the two of them but in truth neither really minded. They've been wanting to have a date for some months now but whenever they do plan something they're suddenly joined by their friends from some form of bad luck. 

Christmas shopping in the first week of December wasn't their perfect idea of a date but it was the best they'd get for now. They knew they'd be dragged out to do more Christmas shopping with their families later and of course with their friends who wanted to do some shopping without their parents seeing the gift.

Today they decided to simply get their friend's gift and something for their parents and siblings. Planning to swap their bags over and wrap each other's gifts in their own homes to mess with anyone who tries snooping for them later. They'd simply swap them all back once wrapped later. 

Hand in hand even as Rin cheeks stayed darken with a blush over the open affection. Makoto smiling like an idiot as always when he's with the one he loves and prays to always be with in the future. 

Makoto wasn't worried when he felt his boyfriend shy up and step a little closer to hide the fact of them hand holding or shoving him away whenever he sneaks in little and light kisses to his cheeks, temple and hair. Makoto wasn't worried at all because he knew his boyfriend loves him more than he loves swimming itself and such a confession had made him faint at the time. But he also knew while his boyfriend loves him so much, he's shy and nervous over giving affection in case he dose it wrong or be openly rejected as he tries. 

Makoto finds it adorable and knows he'll never reject his boyfriend return of affection but was also happy to wait as long as he needed to gain the confidence to openly show affection in public. In private he's like a cute little kitten and always cuddles up or willing cherish him in return. 

The busy mall with panicked and desperate Christmas shoppers helped them stay close and link their hands or arms together. The loud and annoying Christmas music blasting out of each and every shop's speaker helped hide their cute but meaningful whispers to each other. 

Bright lights and sparkling decorations kept all eyes of them while they only had eyes for each other. Their bubble laughs, their smiles, their stares and their love was only for the other and no one would never know how deeply true that was. 

"For the twins" Rin called out as he picked up two sets of towels, one decorated with dolphins while the other had octopuses on it. The twins had taken up swimming classes after school and have been really enjoying it. Their own swimming towels were needed since they kept steeling ones from the bathroom and now his poor mother is having to do the washing every single day to keep enough towels at hand. 

"And this for Gou" Makoto offered as he walked over with a new phonecase as he's been hearing Gou complain over needing a new one for weeks now. 

Both nodding together over their findings before throwing them into their basket and moving on with great ease. Carrying the basket together as Rin only pouted as his boyfriend tried carrying it all like a gentlemen before Rin was simply struggling by the weight of the half filled basket. So, both sparing one hand each and holding the handles together as they carried on their stroll. 

It wasn't the perfect date but the lingering touches and quick but loving kisses shared as they stood searching for Christmas gifts or stuck waiting in lines. The knee bumping as they sat in the food court with a late lunch and smiling like dorks to the other as if no one else existed. 

They knew, just in that moment that they'd never want anyone else. Even if this turns out to be a lost first love or a teenage hormones mistake, neither would fully regret wanting each other.
