Episode Seven

July 25, 09:13 POV: Brian Hanby.

"Alright Phoenix, the fact that you have powers is incredible. The fact that you aren't completely in control of them is terrifying and dangerous. Vanoss and I are going to help you get better control of them. The defense is the most important part of fighting, So, use your powers to deflect this," I said, picking an apple from off of our large tree, and throwing it at her. She didn't deflect, and it hit her square in the face.

"Jesus!" Evan said, laughing. He picked up another apple and looked her in the eyes.

"Are you ready for this one?" Evan smiled. She nodded, and Evan threw the apple. She put up her hands, and a light green light emitted from her and held the apple above her head. We smiled, already seeing her progress.

August 05, 15:20 POV: Phoenix Falcon

"Phoenix, we are really proud of all of your success so far. You are really talented, and we have high hopes for you. We know your primary mission, and we want to help you. So, your sister, Owl." After we had all placed our order for a large, gooey, cheesy, delicious pizza; we took our spot at a booth, and started discussing how we were going to get her back.

"Yeah,  But you guys said you knew who has her?" I asked, getting semi-serious.

"Well, we have a lead, but we aren't completely sure anymore. I had a conversation with the leader of the gang who said they had her, but they think that someone else may have her," Vanoss said again. I felt rage build up.

"You said you knew where she was. That's the reason Brian healed me all the way. That's the reason why I agreed to this, that's the reason I'm in a fucking gang!" I said, looking him dead in the eye.

"We do know where she is. We just don't know who has her," He clarified. I felt a little better.

"And we promised you, that whatever happens, we will find your sister. No matter what," Moo said in a sweet tone.

"I will do everything you ask me to as well. She is my lifeline. I've really been falling apart these last years," I said, telling the truth for once.

"Believe me when we say we know what loss feels like," Brian said, and they all nodded.

"But anyway; we have the blueprints of the base of the gang who we think has her. Do you have any preference for how we get inside?" Vanoss asked. I felt really underprepared.

"I have no idea. I'm not a mastermind." I sheepishly said, hiding my embarrassment.

"That's okay. We were just asking if you had input. We have a plan," Vanoss said, smiling away my blushing.

"You are going to 'get captured' by them," Delirious finally spoke, and I thought it would have been better if he had just kept his mouth shut.

"What the fuck?!" I said, staring at him, trying to think what the hell he meant by that.

"This gang has an obsession with you and your sister, because of the fight that broke out in your house. They have been trying to get to you for years, and once they get you in their sights, they won't let go. In that time that you're in their base, you will follow plans we have laid out for you," Delirious explained better. I really liked him. He only talked when necessary, and he had a very calm composure about him.

"They aren't going to try to kill me or anything, are they?" I asked, hoping that they would think that this was a stupid question.

"No. They want us to see that they have you, to torture us. But they won't get more than a week with you. As soon as you have your plan completed, we will come to 'rescue' you, and you'll be safe," Moo said, watching the steaming pizza being laid down in front of us. As soon as it was laid down, we all tore into it.

"How are you going to do that?" I asked, padding my pizza with a napkin.

"Because they really aren't a well put together gang. Trust me with that," Delirious said, mocking them.

"You're going to be safe. We promise."

"So, when is this going to happen?" I asked, twirling around a string of cheese around my fork.

"Hopefully as soon as possible. We all want Owl back," Brian said. We all nodded.

"So, what do I need to do?" I asked, before shoving a piece of pizza down my throat.

"We have to figure that out still, but it won't be easy," Vanoss said, looking to me out of the corner of his eyes.

"I know, but I need to," I said. They all nodded to me in agreement.

August 26, 17:52 POV: Evan Fong

The team was sitting in the den, while Phoenix was slaving away about the plan in the kitchen. We were all watching Bob's Burgers, but not really paying attention. We were more just listing to each other's soft breathing and relaxed bodies.

"What do you think Phoenix is doing all alone in there?" Brian asked, bouncing his leg up and down.

"She's working on how to do everything," Delirious said, eyes unwavering from the screen.

"Do you guys want to invite her in? I mean, she's been super sweet to all of us. We should try to get to know her," Brock offered, shuffling the blanket over his crossed legs that were resting on Delirious.

We looked to each other and shrugged.

"I guess if she wants to," Brian said.

"Hey, Phoenix!" I shouted to the kitchen.

"Yeah?" A faint shout pierced my ears.

"You wanna come chill with us?" I shouted again. They laughed beside me.

"Oh, uh, sure!" She said, after a lot of shuffling around and putting stuff away.

She eventually came floating in. She looked so beautifully graceful, and lovely as she comes around to us.

"Can you not touch the ground?" Moo asked, trying not to laugh. She had a large smile on her face, as she laughed.

"No, kinda can't." She laughed, stretching out her legs, but she was just above it.

"Damn! That's fucking sick! Can you go any higher?" Delirious laughed. I was really happy to see Deli actually talk to her, trying to be kind.

"I, actually don't know!" She smiled. She looked up and tried to go a little higher. She made it all the way up to the ceiling. We all watched and laughed.

She laughed, then "sat" on the floor.

"So, Phoenix. Where did you come from?" I asked, trying to get some conversation going on.

"Oh boy, that's a long story. Haha. Well, I was originally born in Los Carta, but then I was adopted, and moved into Washburo, Candle Lake." She started slow.

"Wait, you were adopted too?!" Brock's face elated.

"Yeah! My birth parents were crack addicts," She laughed.

"Mine were abusive," He said softly.

"Well, I'm glad you're here with us now. Much better destiny for you," She smiled sweetly.

"So who adopted you?" Moo asked, filled with happiness that there was someone else in the gang that was adopted.

"Their names were Gosling, and Finch Falcon," She said simply.

"Two dads?" Brian asked.

"Yeah,"

"I had two moms!" I smiled, remembering Rachel, and Mia and smiling.

"I had a single mom," Brian smiled.

"I was in a Catholic school. My mom was a nun who got banned because she had me," Delirious said. We were all shocked. Delirious had never said anything about his past before.

"Really?" Phoenix said, seeming genuinely interested. Delirious nodded.

"Yeah, apparently when I was in the orphanage, I set the bathroom rug on fire!" She laughed, and I genially enjoyed her stories!

"What the hell?! How?!" Delirious laughed.

"I don't remember how that happened, but that's how I got the nickname Phoenix," She said, then realized the magnitude of her mistake.

"Phoenix isn't your real name?" Moo asked, looking surprised.

"It is now." She laughed.

"Would you mind sharing your real name?" I asked, being willing to share mine as well.

"No, my name is Nicolle with two Ls'." She said. I instantly felt more in love with her. Nicolle was a name that fit her much better.

"I'm Evan," I said. The others looked to me like I was insane. I looked at them urging them to do it the same.

"I'm still Brian."

"I'm Brock,"

We all turned to Delirious, not expecting a clear answer.

"Johnathon," We all stared in shock but did our best to not let it show.

"I've always liked that name," Nicolle smiled. Delirious cracked a grin through his mask.

"So, Nicolle; have any questions for any of us?" Brian asked, starting off.

"Uh, when did you guys all get together?" She asked. We looked at each other to see where to start.

"Well, Evan and I went to primary school together," Brian started off.

"Yeah, and then when I got adopted, I joined their class in eighth grade," Delirious smiled.

"I joined about six, or seven years ago." Moo popped in; that being all the further we got into that conversation.

"That's so cool that you all just found each other!"

"Yeah, just kept adding one by one." Brian smiled.

"Hey Nicolle, do you have any tattoos?" Delirious asked with a dark tone.

"Um, yeah. It's, a little bird family," she lifted up her shirt and showed us the back of her shoulder. There was a Gosling, a Finch, a Phoenix, and an Owl all making a heart with themselves. We all couldn't help but let out awe.

"That's super sweet," Moo cooed.

"That's your family right?" I asked, touching her shoulder. At first, I didn't mean to, but then I started to blush, and kept it there.

"Yup!"

"I think we all have some," I said, pushing my arm up. We all had the banana bus crew logo on our hands, but we also have some personalized ones.

"Let's see!" She smiled, pushing her sleeve back over her shoulder. We all went for ours.

"I have the BBS emblem, and then I have this one on my calf." Brian moved his pants leg to show us a Bendy and the Ink Machine style tattoo of a dog, with the word "Sansa" under it.

"I have the emblem, then this owl design on my neck. It's super simple, but I've always liked this. And this one on my ankle, Proverbs 1:15." I said, slightly rolling my pant leg up.

"I have, a lot hahaha! Okay, well this is the emblem, this Is Romans 8:18, this is "Lauren," someone I loved more than anything, then lost. This is a sugar candy skull with a puppy in it, and this is barbed wire with the word Determination," Brock pulled up multiple items of clothing away from the tattoos covering his body.

"I don't have any," Delirious lied through his teeth.

"So like Delirious, I know you don't have any flavor powers, but could you make slushy if you could?" Nicolle laughed.

I could see Delirious's complexion change.

"I can," He surprised us all. We all looked around for something to give him. Brian grabbed his half-full Monster can and handed it to him. Delirious held it in his hands, looking at it as if he was determined to remember how he once did this.

"I need someone to hold it up for me," Delirious looked insanely happy to have an old trick to show us all. Phoenix quickly picked up the van and held it for him. Delirious looked to it and concentrated his energy. We saw a light blue light slither out of the holes in his mask, and push into the can. Phoenix's face was elated as she picked up the can, and held it to her mouth, and crunched on the ice that was now in the Monster can.

August 26, 02:35 POV: Delirious

Fucking Evan. Destroyed my camera. That was the only place I had pictures of her. I guess that my camera can't really compare to the images I truly see. I guess I'll just have to learn to savor it more than I already do.

I put down the shambles of my camera, and turn on the ball of my heel. The clomping of my blue-stained Converses echoes through the dank, darkroom. I looked above my head, the rattling of chains kept my shaking breath quiet. The room was dimly illuminated by a single light bulb that hung down from a beaded string, that shook when anything came near it. I stood underneath it and grabbed intertwined the chain in between my fingers, then I flicked it down. The dim light brightened up the chair that laid below it, that was tipped on its side. The beautiful mess shook awake, and threw their head up to me, and instantly started to scream through their duct-taped mouth.

"Wakey wakey sleepy head!" I smiled, bending down on my haunches, and looking down at the specimen lying on the floor. The muffled screaming didn't stop.

"You know no one will hear you. No one cares even," I smiled, pushing a strand of golden hair out of those icy blue eyes, and behind her ear. Clear crystals leaked out of her eyes, and slid sideways down her cheek, then on to the floor.

"Do you know, that we've been looking for you for a long time? You were QUITE hard to find, but, as you see, I always win," I smiled, looking into her orb eyes. The pupils shrunk in size then grew immaculately. Eyes are a beautiful thing. The stereotypical line is they are the window to the soul, but I think they're the lock hiding a single room with a shit ton of memories, rhythms, and harmonies that no one wants's to share. You just gotta get into the keyhole, and fucking push.

"What do you think got you here?" I asked, looking back in her eyes. She looked for a while, but then looked down at her tear stains on the floor. I felt flames start licking up my esophagus from my stomach and make my face hot. I stood up and kicked one of the legs on the chair, and it shot her up. She sat to attention.

"When I talk to you, you fucking listen. Okay?" I told her staring her into the eyes. She quieted up and nodded fast.

"Better. Do, you want to know a secret?" I asked, feeling a large blade that is laying on the table next to us. She hesitated, but then nodded slowly.

"You know, a little person named, Phoenix?" I asked, merely teasing her. Her eyes turned black from the enlarging pupils. The arms tied behind her back scratched the rope, and chaffed her shoulders.

"Our friends, and I. We found her. She's trying to find you; and you know, she will!" I smiled, stepping away from the chair, and walked back to the metal table with all of my tools.

She screamed through the duct-tape. I smiled, trying to keep myself calm.

"Oh, but don't worry, you won't have to see her horrified face. You won't have to see any of that. Don't worry," I smiled again.

August 28, 12:05 POV: Brock Foster

"Hey Brock, have you seen Delirious?" Evan asked, lacing a hoodie around his large arms.

"No, I guess I haven't," I said, setting down the PS4 controller, and looking to him. He looked around and shrugged his shoulders.

"You're going to Los Carta?" I asked, knowing that answer that I didn't want to.

"Yeah. Try to talk to Wildcat some more, find out where Owl is." He said, feeling the rubbery feathers of his mask underneath his long fingers.

"Do you, I don't know, want some company?" I asked, knowing that Evan shouldn't go alone.

"I mean I guess, but you're still super bruised. I don't want to risk you getting hurt," He said, being as nice as he could be.

"I'll be okay! But if you don't want me, you should still take someone else," I said, twiddling the joysticks around.

"I know, but again, you guys are sick. I think there is going to be something going down soon, if anyone is going to be hurt, it's going to be me," He said, zipping up his jacket.

"Maybe you should make them come here instead?" I asked. Evan snickered.

"If I were to do that, I would get ass blasted," He smiled.

"We really need a messenger,"

"I'm sure we could get one! If THEY have one, why can't we?" I laughed, and Evan nodded. There was a quiet knock on our door. We think that our question might be answered! Evan and I looked at each other, then Evan went to the door.

Brian entered the room and joined me on the couch. We heard the muffled intelligible conversation going on, then two pairs of footprints coming into the room. Brian and I looked up to see an average man, with a chubby exterior, and a soft interior. He was clad in a too big grey hoodie with long, floppy bunny ears sewn on. There was a large Ohm symbol on the front of his hoodie. He went blind a while ago.

"Good afternoon Ohm," I greeted him. Compared to his gang, he is super sweet. I really wish that he was on our side instead.

"Good afternoon," He said, focusing in my direction. I smiled.

"So, what news do you have for us, Ohm?" Evan asked, offering Ohm a seat, forgetting for a moment that Ohm can't see.

"Ohm, there's a seat to your left if you would like to sit down," I offered. He smiled, then felt for the chair. He quickly found it and sat down.

"So Ohm, do you have news for us?" Brian asked, crossing his legs.

"Look, I really like you guys, and we're alone, so can you call me Ryan?" He asked. I felt my cheeks turn pink.

"Sounds like a plan," Evan said, crossing his arms.

"Okay, so I am probably going to die from doing this, but the gang has an attack planned, and they are going to try to take Phoenix and kill you guys. I'm here to tell you that they're going to be here later tomorrow. I don't know the exact plan, because I ran out," Ryan was very serious.

"What?" Phoenix came into the room, hovering a few inches above the ground.

"Phoenix, this is Ryan," Evan grabbed her hands and walked her over to Ohm, who stood up and took her hands.

"Hi, Phoenix. I know this isn't the best first introduction, but my name is Ohmwrecker, please call me Ryan. I was a member of your rival gang, and I will probably get it for telling you about their plan, but they are coming for you, and I want to help you guys," He said, holding onto her hands, feeling who she was.

"Oh, you're not going to die, are you?"

"They're going to try, but If I'm lucky enough, I'll be okay," He said in a nice tone.

"Well Ryan, you're helping us a lot, why don't you stay with us?" Evan asked. I felt my heart race.

"That is very generous of you, but I found this young spy that I want to make sure is safe. He was hired by our gang, but he has been leaking information on purpose to help you guys, and we're going to run," Ryan said, scratching the back of his hoodie covered neck.

"Bring him here too! You guys don't need to be on the run. We're a fully formed gang, we can take care of you too. You guys have powers right?" Evan asked. Even though Ohm's eyes were covered, we could still see that he was shocked by our answer.

"A-Are you sure? You guys seem to have a lot on your plate already!" Ohm was talking, but I cut him off.

"You guys are more advanced than their entire gang. If anything, we should be thanking you. Plus, we've been missing Delirious for almost two days now." They looked to me, then back to Ohm.

"That's, wow. That's very kind of you. Thank you. Are you one hundred percent sure you want to do this?" Ohm asked in a sweet voice.

"Of course Ryan. Go get that man, and get him here safely," Evan said, trying to get things set in his head.

"Thank you, Evan. Thank you all," Ohm moved his head around to all of us, then he put his hands to his side, and then he disappeared into a grey gas, then quickly vaporized out the wall. Phoenix looked instantly confused, then scared.

We were all quiet as we looked to Evan to find out what we were to do. Evan looked towards the wall and thought long and hard.

"Brock, get in contact with BDC, we're going to need help. Brian; do everything you can to find Delirious, we need a full team as it is. Pheonix, come with me," Evan ordered. We instantly obeyed.

The BDC is the Booper Dooper Clan. They are our allies. They make up a lot of the same people we like. Jack/Sean, Mark, Ethan, Tyler, Ken, and Felix. They're super quiet people, but they will always be there when you need it. And believe me, right now, we need it. I walked over to the wireless phone, and quickly dialed their number.

"BooperDooperClan, Cinnamon Toast talking," I have never been so relieved to hear Ken's voice in my lifetime.

"Hey Ken, It's Moo,"

"Brock? Is everything alright?" Ken's voice instantly got more worried.

"Hoodinies are planning an attack tomorrow and we think we're going to need help," I said, knowing that stuff is going to hit the fan.

"Do you have any idea of when?" Ken asked. It sounded like he was writing stuff down.

"They said later tomorrow, but no exact time was said," I said, running my hands over my glasses.

"Alright, Brock. You know that we all will be ready at the call. Be safe," Ken said in a serious tone.

"You too, you know they're stupid but they're dangerous. Watch your back, and call if you need anything," I said, wanting to protect Ken and his gang.

"You too Moo," He said, then hung up.

"We're good over here Evan," I screamed, then went to go find Brian.

"Hey, need help?" I asked as I saw him digging through Delirious's drawer. He held a small polaroid in his hand and didn't respond.

"Brian?" I asked, walking behind him, looking over his shoulder. I felt the breath slither out of my quivering chin.
