Chapter 2
Hello creeps. Another chapter of Languish Deception. I decided last night to ask you some questions since I want to know you better. You know, maybe we have some similarities. And we could talk about something.
So here it is:
Who's your bias in EXO?
: My bias is Baekhyun and Chanyeol, obviously but Baekhyun's really my no. 1 :
Who's your bias wrecker?
: My bias wrecker other than Chanyeol is D.O and Kai or Kaisoo, perhaps ^O^ :
Who's your first bias other than your current ultimate bias?
: My first ultimate bias before Baekhyun is actually Kai. But then I keep pushing myself to Baekhyun because my friend doesn't want a rival with Kai. So I ended up to Baekhyun (So complicated, ikr) :
I'll stop here. Enjoy the chapter!
Bye creep, stay lovely~~
...
"Are you okay, Chanyeol?" Jongin asked his friend who was looking as blank as possible.
Chanyeol nodded. "I'm fine. How could I not be?" He wasn't actually fine, he was worried and nervous.
Both of the guys were already on the plane to go to Japan. After 4 years, the young businessman had decided to personally check his company there. Actually, the company's main building should supposedly be in there but when the company was passed to him, he moved it to Seoul.
Jongin shrugged. "I don't know. There's a possibility you could meet him there."
Chanyeol looked outside the window. He clearly knew that and he also knew that he had moved on already. But he just didn't know how to act in front of the guy if they're going to meet. "I've moved on, Jongin. It's not a big deal. I'm going there for business and that's that. And we're just going to be there in a matter of time," he answered instead.
Jongin nodded hesitantly. He knew his friend is nothing but fine. He wonder how this visit in Japan going to end up. But he shook that thought off and decided to rest. This is going to be a long flight.
...
When they finally reached Japan's airport, a lot of people had welcomed them. The airport was very noisy but both of the guys were already used to it so they just walked like they weren't even bothered. Press and papparazi crowded them, asking a lot of questions but both of them decided to ignore those. They were hell-like tired from the flight and they still wanted to have some rest.
They were having a hard time walking out of the huge crowd that pressed into them but they had managed to reach their designated car without any stampede or unwanted incidents.
As the door of the car closed, the noisiness of the crowd lessened and both of them can only sigh in relief. "Oh! What life!" Jongin sing-sang. "Chanyeol, you have an interview tomorrow in the afternoon," he reminded his friend.
Chanyeol just rolled his eyes. "I know."
"I was just reminding," Jongin huffed and slumped after. He was already used to his friend being like that. For four years, his friend have been blank, poker and cold-hearted. He knew why, and it's because of that breakup. He was wondering if his friend had truly moved on but it seems like it. He tried testing once and he just received a 'tsk' or a shake in the head before the guy says 'Don't test me like that. I've already moved on' and then he walks out after that. Jongin decided to just stop testing his friend after that, after all there's no point anyway, the guy had already moved on.
"So? What are your plans for today?" Jongin asked hoping he would kill the silence in the car. After moments of waiting for an answer, he decided to look at Chanyeol, only to find him sleeping with his hands covered in his eyes. He glared at the guy before he finally decided to sleep, too.
...
Chanyeol woke up from a sudden tickle in his ears. He opened his eyes slowly as he tried to remove the thing that caused the feeling before he closed his eyes again and shifted away. He suddenly heard a groan but decided to ignore it, he was dead tired and all he wanted to do is sleep until he's already contented.
The tickling of his ears went back again causing him to yelp and jump in surprise, "WHAT THE HELL!"
The guy beside him gave a snicker, "I'm sorry, you need to wake up already." Chanyeol rolled his eyes as he looked outside the window, only to find out that they're already outside his house in Japan.
Both of the guys went outside the car as they opened the large and wooden door of their house upon entering. The scent of freshly cooked foods welcomed them as the servants lined up to give them a bow. Chanyeol bowed back politely as Jongin went separate ways with him in the house. He went to the stairs and to the opposite direction where the Butler was supposedly taking him to his said room.
Chanyeol said a small thank you to the servant who carried his bag before the guy decided to leave him alone in his room. He could only sigh as he looked around his room, it was like the way it was before he left the house, four years ago. He was supposedly going to work here in Japan, too when he decided to put their main building in Seoul and opted to work there.
He went to his bed, taking his steps slowly before he finally reached it and sat down. He turned on the television and the news patrol was on. He was on the news headlines and he can't help but to smile. It was, somehow, amazing that people kept on recognizing him from all over the world, giving him a lot of good admiring remarks and telling him how he was such a successful businessman. Though he can't say for the other, he knew he was also successful as well as he was. He could hear a lot say that, even his success reached all over the world.
He shook the thoughts out of his head, and decided to hope for the best. He hope that their visit here in Japan would be just fine without any trouble or distractions that might happen.
He sighed and plopped himself down on his bed, face on the ceiling and hands on the stomach. Deep within, he wanted to see him if he was fine, if he had already moved. But what was he expecting? Of course the guy had moved on already! He mentally slapped himself for thinking about him, for feeling worried about him. Which he shouldn't be. Because what the hell! He should be asking those questions to himself. If he was really okay. If he was already sure to himself that he had moved on already. And to make sure of that, he had to face him but that would mean he have to talk to him.
Aish. He groaned and stood up. He ruffled his hair harshly and decided to take a bath to prepare himself at dinner. He better stop over thinking these things. He should probably prepare himself for tomorrow's interview and think of the possible questions that will come out. Because the truth is, he isn't always ready for interviews so he should better be ready for tomorrow.
...
"Welcome to Japan, Mr. Park," the interviewer greeted and Chanyeol replied with a smile and a slight nod. "It's a pleasure to be here. A lot of people had gave me a warm welcome. Thank you so much," he said with calm enthusiasm.
Both of them were seated across each other. Chanyeol on his crossed legs while the interviewer was formally seated up straight and graceful. It was obvious she was in glee in facing Chanyeol and the latter could only sigh for having such interviewer.
The interviewer gave out a small giggle before she continued, "A lot of people had also been asking this, what exactly are your plans here in Japan?"
Chanyeol nodded and paused for a moment, "I came here to Japan to personally visit our company here. If it was doing well or if it has a slight problem that they need to fix. I'll also be reviewing our stocks here, the sales... probably much, we came here for business."
The interviewer nodded and looked at her paper which contains the questions before looking back at Chanyeol, "Are you expecting investors or maybe proposals that'll be handed to you while you're still here in Japan?"
"Yes, I am and I'm glad to welcome them," Chanyeol answered with a coy grin which made the interviewer's heart melt. Tss. Chanyeol thought.
It took a moment for the interviewer to recover and once she did, her eyes widened at her delay before she proceeded to a question in a stammer, "D-do you have other plans here, other than business?"
Chanyeol's heart pounded fast at the question. Just answer, dammit. He scolded himself but he didn't know how to answer that question. He can't put it into words, he can't exactly explain himself. Do I have other plans? He keeps asking himself but he exactly can't answer it either. "Maybe," he replied after moments. He knew that was a stupid answer but at least he did answer. And to think his answer is 'maybe'.
The interviewer only giggled and twirled her hair before finally getting to the next question. Why is she the one who interviewed me, again? Chanyeol can't help but to think, he hated how girls act like that in front of him. But he snapped out of it and decided to focus on the next question because the last question was giving him a heart attack. "How long would you be here, Mr. Park?"
Chanyeol paused and calculated the days he'll be staying here for business. "Hmm.." he paused, "Maybe two to three weeks. It probably depends."
The interviewer nodded and looked at her paper, grinning while looking back at Chanyeol. "Is there someone who you came to visit here? A lot of people had been curious about that too."
Chanyeol put his mic down before looking away. He wasn't sure how to answer that question because he didn't know. This is why I hate interviews. He put back his mic but still didn't talk. Just tell them you came here for business, that's that. He berated to himself but as he opened his mouth, no words came out. Just tell them, dammit! "No one. But there's someone I'm not expecting to meet here." Shit. Why tell that? You. Are. So. Dead. Park. Chanyeol. He inwardly groaned and for a moment, he wanted to walk out and leave these questions to Jongin. Oh, what life.
The interviewer's eyes widened in shock. "Mind telling us who is it?"
Chanyeol almost gave out a snicker but decided to surpress it. "I'd rather keep it to myself." Why on earth would I tell them anyway?
More questions flooded and Chanyeol answered them all. He felt like he's about to ran out of saliva and his throat's about to ran dry because of the talking and answering and 'fake' laughs. When will my death end? He kept thinking. He was avoiding questions like those but he knew he can't because... Life. Is. Unfair.
When the interview finished, Chanyeol wasn't only relieved but very relieved to get out of this hell-like room. The staffs, faculty, directors, producer and also the interviewer gave their thanks to the businessman for his time and cooperation. Chanyeol nodded and when he found the right timing to leave, he left, not even bothering to say his goodbye. He was tired of thinking what good answers will he say and he needed a rest after this hell-like day.
He suddenly remembered what he had answered to one of his questions. But there's someone I'm not expecting to meet here. He groaned. Why did I even answer? He was worried that he could've watched the interview and might have thought that he still haven't moved on but he already had. He just said that because.. it was really that. He shook his head harshly, hoping he could also shake the thought off and it did.. for just a moment.
He looked around for his driver and once he did, he immediately followed him to take him to his car. They walked silently to their parking lot and when they had reached there, the driver immediately opened the passenger seat at the back for him. He went in and so did the driver. Both the doors closed automatically before the driver started the engine and drove off.
Chanyeol's eyes became heavier and heavier as seconds passed by and before he knew it, he was already asleep. But just then, the car stopped harshly making Chanyeol jolt up. "What happened?" He immediately ask as he looked outside, noticing a white luxurious car in front of them.
"He took a turn, I didn't notice," the driver said.
"Well, it's not our fault," Chanyeol grumbled, angry because someone had disturbed his sleep.
The driver of the other car suddenly went out with a furious face. "What the hell!" He shouted and this made Chanyeol enrage. He blames this on us?!
He was to go out of the car and talk back to the guy when he recognized who the guys was. There, on a black plain leathered shirt with a white inner clothes and a simple tight jeans was him. His hair was auburn and was remained messy but that made him look more fascinating. Chanyeol felt himself gulp and his rage turned into nervousness. His knees suddenly felt weak and he seemed to be frozen. He can't seem to move and all he saw was him amongst the surroundings. Everything was a blur and the world seemed to stop when he saw him. Again.
"L-let's go and just l-leave," he ordered his driver with a stammer. The driver looked at the businessman in the rear view mirror before he drove off again, avoiding the guy and his car.
