The first day of Baekhyun being a 'slave' is very exhausted. He didn't even want to be called slave because he'd have to be reminded that he's working for someone. And that particular someone is Chanyeol. It was just fine until he woke up this morning because of the annoying alarm clock which he likes to call as 'yoda'. Big ears and a loud, deep voice. Yeah, definitely annoying. How couldn't someone be annoyed if that's the first thing you'll see and hear first in the morning?
Actually, he didn't want to be called 'slave' since it has a lot of meanings. He prefers servant than that but he can't argue with his 'boss'. Anyway, to start off this annoying day, he woked up too early than his usual time but that was acceptable but the fact that he still have to cook heats him up and it resulted to a very bad breakfast which both of them didn't eat. Who can eat that kind of food anyway?
To top off that, he didn't even took a shower that time since he was dragged immediately down by no other than his 'boss' causing him to be left with no car. He came in his office late and not to mention, like a corpse, and what welcomed him is a large mountain of work and proposals. He wasn't even expecting that they would immediately throw him some projects after the merger. So basically, he throw those shits out back to where it belongs because it was literally a trash. He even took time to study it, he thought he's going to explode already. Never in his life had he encountered with that load of work.
And now, back to the present, he was resting his ass on the couch while sighing contently. Damn it. He knew he'll get screwed by his 'boss' because of this but what the fuck! He won't care since he's damn so tired already. He didn't even wait for D.O to go out the office and just commuted his way to Chanyeol's house. He groaned. He had somehow felt guilty but he already texted the guy about that matter.
Suddenly, his phone rung but it was in the kitchen counter. Dammit. He was too lazy to stand up. Hmm? Why do I feel like that this happened already? He felt something like deja vu. Familiarity beckoned him and he stood up slowly, making his way on the kitchen and grabbing his phone. He didn't bother to look at the caller, though.
"Hello?" He greeted a question.
"Baekhyun, where are you?" A deep and worried voice answered him causing his heart to skip for a beat, which he immediately shook off.
"In your house?" He replied, uncertainty depicted on his tone, "Why?"
A sigh of relief was heard from the other line before it hung up. Baekhyun heard the beeping tone before looking at his phone in confusion and shrugging afterward. Was he worried for me? He questioned in his mind but he knew he shouldn't be asking that.
Baekhyun went back to his abode which is generally referred as couch and sat in there, feeling restless. A moment passed by and his eyes became heavy until it finally gave in. The last thing he heard is a door opening and the call of his name.
...
Chanyeol stayed settled on his car outside Byun Holdings' building. He was waiting for his 'slave' to come out but it was already late and the guy didn't come out, yet. He watched as employees went out from the building. He fished out his phone and was about to call him when he suddenly saw D.O going out but he didn't find his brother with him. He sighed and went out of his car.
"Mr. Do!" He called out and D.O was quick to look at him with his usual blank face. "Mr. Park."
"Do you know where's, Mr. Byun?"
D.O shrugged. "I don't know," he replied with uncertainty. Well, for the record, he actually know where his brother is but he just wanted to know how Chanyeol would react with that.
"H-huh? He wasn't with me," Chanyeol stated before fishing out his phone to call Baekhyun but suddenly he remembered that he didn't have the guy's number. "Can I have his number?"
"I'll just call hi-"
"No, I can manage," Chanyeol cut, "I mean, it would be also nice if I know his number. I mean, not in that way but for business ways and also-."
"I get it." It was D.O's turn to cut him as he handed the businessman his phone, showing Baekhyun's number.
"T-thanks," Chanyeol stummered with a blush. "Here," he said and handed the phone back to D.O, "I-I have to go, already," he finally said before walking out and going back to his car. D.O just looked at him blankly, like some idiot he is. Once he reached the place, he breathed out a deep air. He looked like a creep in front of Baekhyun's brother, but he couldn't care less because he finally had the guy's number. He can't help but to smile shyly at his phone. He had almost forgot the main reason why he asked for his number.
Chanyeol called Baekhyun. There were series of rings heard before the other line had answered he call. He made sure if Baekhyun was already there, he sighed in relief when he was before he hung up, not hearing what the other line had asked. He drove home in an instant and it was a good thing that traffic isn't around in the moment.
Upon reaching his house, he found Baekhyun on the couch. He was about to scold him for not telling him that he already went home but he noticed that the guy was sleeping. He rolled his eyes and was about to go into his room when the guy had sleep talked and he had heard it loud and clear. It made time in a halt for a moment.
"C-Chanyeol, I'm sorry."
Chanyeol stopped and gulped. He looked at Baekhyun once again who still remained unmoving but tears were obviously running down his cheeks, eyes closed tightly, brows knitted and nose scrunching. He suddenly felt the urge to hug him and wipe away Baekhyun's tears. But he had already done that before. He had plead. It didn't work. It's useless. Everything they had is just utter uselessness. He looked away before finally going in his room. He sighed. He's just sleep talking.
...
"Hello, who's this?" Chanyeol asked the other line.
"Woah, Chanyeol. I couldn't believe you haven't saved my number until now!" A feminine voice remarked with full giddiness.
"Noona!"
The other line laughed. "Chanyeol, my dongsaeng! How's life?"
Chanyeol almost jumped in glee after hearing his older sister's voice. It's been years already. He can't even remember when was the last time he heard her voice. "I have a lot to tell you, noona!" He answered with pure excitement.
"I also have a lot to tell you," she giggled, "I'll come visit yo- no actually, I'm already going there. Bye," her noona said quickly before hanging up.
Chanyeol looked at his phone before chuckling. He can't wait to tell her noona all about Baekhyun and how his parents had accepted him as a family. A lover, even. He was very pumped to meet his sister that he had already forgotten to clean his house. He knew how much his noona hates mess.
Just then, the bell rang and he knew he had no time to clean already. He immediately opened the door and was suddenly hugged tightly by no other than his sister, Park Yoora. "Noona," he called, still not believing that the person was already in front of her. He hugged her back and she giggled in response.
"I missed you," she broke away from the hug and looked at his brother, "You're all grown alread- wait. Are you in love? You look so blooming!"
Chanyeol rolled his eyes playfully and chuckled. "I'm not a girl. And is it that obvious?" He scratched his nape, slightly shy that his sister had to cover her mouth and widen her eyes in shock. "Oh! Tell me about it! Is she beautiful. Wait, of course she is. But she's not a bitch isn't she?" Yoora squealed as she went to the couch, sitting comfortably as Chanyeol followed her behind.
"Actually," Chanyeol started, "It's not a she. It's a he," he admitted proudly with a grin. Remembering Baekhyun just kills him with a smile.
"Oh," she said in disappointment, "I'm sorry, I didn't know. YOU SHOULD HAVE TOLD ME. OH MY GOD!" Chanyeol never had doubts that his sister wouldn't disagree with him. He knew she's a fan of boy to boy romance. Yaoi, even.
"OH MY GOD! I CAN'T BELIEVE THIS!"
"Noona, you have to calm down." Yoora looked at him with pumped eyes and exhaled out a deep breath, inhaling and exhaling again. Repeating the process to calm herself. Once done, she closed his eyes. "What's his name?" She asked calmly but Chanyeol already knew she was just holding herself from exploding.
"Byun Baekhyun," he grinned in reply.
"OH MY FUCKING JESUS! HOLY SHIT! WHO'S THAT?!" Her Noona berated loudly while shaking Chanyeol.
"He's my husband. Soon to be husband," he answered, his grin still fixed on his lips.
"OH MY GOD! I LIKE HIM ALREADY! NO, I LOVE HIM!" She yanked her hair in frustration and because of her feels. Damn, she was a total fangirl.
"You still haven't met him," Chanyeol stated with a chuckle.
"I DON'T CARE!"
Chanyeol sighed. "About you? How's life?" He asked, changing the topic though he didn't really want it to. He just want to check if her sister is alright. They could go back to that topic once done.
"It's just fine," Yoora sighed, "But, I have patients today. I heard they were a family. Their son didn't know that it was his parents that saved him from dying. In exchange, the parents died. The guy was totally devastated. I felt sorry for scolding him about being careless. I shouldn't have, though."
Chanyeol knitted his brows. He was suddenly interested. "Why? What happened anyway?"
"The guy crossed the road without looking what's up ahead. The car, which is unfortunately his parents, avoided him because it was their son, unfortunately again, and got hardly crashed on a nearby post. The guy had some injuries but his parents were critical and, unfortunately for the third time already, didn't make it," she said casually but Chanyeol could see her sister's eyes with full grief.
"But they're rich. The boys could make it," she added, trying to enlighten the mood.
"Boys?" Chanyeol asked in confusion.
"Yes, the guy has a brother."
"Oh."
"Hey," Yoora nudged his brother, "Don't be sad. It's not that bad, anyway."
Chanyeol smiled slightly. "Yeah."
"So, what's your husband's name, again? It really sounds familiar, almost like I heard it somewhere," she asked, changing the heavy topic.
Chanyeol chuckled, much to Yoora's relief. "His name is actually- Just remember it, okay? I won't repeat it, again," he joked which was responded with a glare, "His-"
Suddenly, his phone rang. Speaking of the devil.
"Hello!" Chanyeol greeted.
"C-Chanyeol, meet me at the park. Now. I'm waiting," the other line said heavily before hanging up. Chanyeol can't help but be confused. There was something in Baekhyun's tone that made him worried but he knew he must think positive.
"Bye, noona. We'll talk about this later," he said before standing up
"Of course," Yoora said in disappointment. He wanted to know more about his brother's boyfriend. But what can he do? His boyfriend calls for him.
Chanyeol smiled and gave her a thumbs up. She can't help but to sigh. "I'll be remembering your words, Park. You're going to tell me about your husband or I'll forget you as my dongsaeng," she pouted and giggled.
"Of course, noona." Chanyeol went in for a hug and Yoora was glad to respond it. "Take care, okay?"
"Always," he said in assurance and broke away from the hug. "I have to go, noona. My boy- I mean, husband is waiting for me."
Yoora rolled her eyes playfully. "Okay, okay. Go." She pushed Chanyeol out the door and shut it afterwards. He can hear the guy's laughter before it fainted and all she could hear is a car engine driving off.
She chuckled. What was his husband's name, again?
