Sun and Moon

The moon glides into the empty sky
And so does the sun slowly die
Somehow, I'm reminded of us once again
I smile, fondling those memories in vain
To me, you are the moon, and I, the sun
Why the dark, might question one
But to me, I might be bright
A lovely sight, if you might
Yet comes the time, a pretty night
Shrouding the world in an absence of light
For so does the sun slowly retreat
Could your beauty, it ever beat?
From far away, does the sun sigh
Wondering why, a picture of wry
And the Earth fondly welcomes
A caring blanket, your sight hums
To the sun, the epitome it wishes to be
And the human smile it wishes to see
For ages and ever, singing the boon
Since I'm the sun, and you- the moon
