King/ Fem!America
Amelia was startled to say the least when her brother came into their shared Massachusetts home crying his eyes out. Of course this confused and horrified the American to her core. Who or what had made her usually sunshine bound brother cry? Amelia would figure that out later, but first she needed to help her younger brother.
Amelia quickly ran over to where the tearful nation had collapsed to his knees on the wooden floor. Amelia (possessing godly strength like her counterpart) lifted up the other blond personification into her arms, carrying him princess style.
Amelia began making her way upstairs to her brother's bedroom, feeling his tears soak the front of her shirt. Amelia frowned, but not because of her shirt, she frowned because her brother was always so uplifting and optimistic and seeing him reduced to tears really fucking hurt.
When they final got up to the bedroom, Amelia quietly opened the door and just as quietly shut it behind her. She carefully placed her sibling on the bed and walked over to the curtains, pulling them over the windows, making the room a tad bit dark. After that Amelia went over to the nightstand and turned on the lamp that was in the bedside table.
After she was sure everything was fine, Amelia sat down beside her brother, pulling her fellow American into a side hug while rubbing his back gently in a attempt to soothe the crying nation. This seemed to work as Alfred's loud sobs began to dwindle into soft hiccups. Amelia smiled as her brother wrapped his long arms around her petite body and decided it was time to ask Alfred what happened.
"Maska~ tell me what happened that made you cry." Amelia cooed softly separating from her brother as he wiped the remaining tears from his baby blue eyes, sniffing slightly. "It's the nations. They started insulting me and ya again, but unlike the other times I couldn't take it anymore! So the last straw was when they insulted our people say that, "all you Americans ever do is shoot guns and eat fast food, your people disgust us!" why do they say those mean things Amelia? Why?!" Alfred strayed crying after he explained and was comforted by Amelia, who had been listening intently as a scowl formed on her face.
"Shh~ it's ok Alfie! They're just jealous and feel threatened by the strength and power we got, don't let those bastards get ya down!" Amelia cheered, her happy go lucky statement cheering the American up a little bit as he cracked a smiled at his older sister.
"Yeah you're right sis! But that doesn't make it hurt any less.." Alfred trailed off, gazing down at the carpeted floor sadly. Amelia frowned at this, how was she going to cheer her bro up? Amelia thought back to what her brother likes. He likes their people, music, singing, food, and superheroes.
Maybe some singing will cheer him up?
Amelia tapped her brothers shoulder lightly, causing him to look up at her with glistening sapphire eyes. Amelia's heart broke at the sight. Tears didn't suit her counterpart. No, she knew he was born to smile and be happy. And if it meant taking on the whole world together just to see her brother smile, then Amelia would do that and so much more.
"How 'bout I sing ya a song?" Amelia suggested weaving her fingers through her brother's wheat blonde hair, carefully avoiding the stubborn cowlick known as Nantucket. Alfred's smile widen slightly at this and he hugged her as gently as he could.
Alfred released his sister before getting up and taking his jacket, shoes, and socks off. Amelia stood up and pulled back the covers off the bed, crawling under them before his sister pulled them over his long legged body. Once Amelia was sure he was comfortable, she sat in the plush chair beside the bed and smiled at her expectant brother before singing softly.
"You're alone, you're on your own, so what?
Have you gone blind?
Have you forgotten what you have and what is yours?
Glass half empty, glass half full
Well, either way, you won't be going thirsty~
Count your blessings, not your flaws"
Just like Alfred Amelia loved to sing, but she preferred emo music from bands like My Chemical Romance, Panic! At The Disco, Fall out boy. Alfred liked those bands and the songs they made too, but he usually stuck to country and traditional songs. Music was the one thing that never changed through the centuries so it was easy to learn over time.
"You've got it all~
You lost your mind in the sound
There's so much more
You can reclaim your crown~
You're in control
Rid of the monsters inside your head
Put all your faults to bed
You can be king again~"
Alfred smiled at the lyrics that poured out of his sibling's mouth and sighed half in sleep and half in contentment. He knew his sister preferred rock or loud music and didn't like singing quiet song, but he was honored that she made an exception for him. It made him feel special in a way you could only share with a sibling.
"You don't get what all this is about
You're too wrapped up in your self-doubt
You've get that young blood, set it free~"
Amelia mentally sighed in relief as her brother started to smile at the lyrics. Like previously stated; sadness didn't suit him. Not one bit. To her it was the equivalent of looking a sad puppy in the eyes and scaring the poor creature to death. Though Amelia would rather die than make her counterpart sad. With these thoughts in mind, Amelia continued to sing to Alfred.
"You've got it all~
You lost your mind in the sound
There's so much more
You can reclaim your crown
You're in control
Rid of the monsters inside up your head~
Put all your fault to bed
You can be king again"
Alfred shifted a little bit, closing his eyes as he listened to the soft melody that was his sisters voice. Like himself, she didn't tell the other nations both male and female that she could sing or liked music. The world seems to forget Elvis Presley, Michel Jackson, and many other great musicians came from their country. It was one of the little secrets they kept.
"There's method in my madness
There's no logic in your sadness~
You don't gain a single thing from misery
Take it from me~"
Amelia remembers when their mother Native America used to sing to them when they were scared or had trouble falling asleep. Even as she faded away, their mother never once blamed them for it and for that she was grateful beyond words. Her brother on the other hand, held the weight of the world upon his shoulders and blamed himself for everything that was wrong with it. And you can be sure that Amelia was always there to tell him that it wasn't his fault.
"You've got it all
You lost your mind in the sound
There's so much more
You can reclaim your crown
You're in control
Rid of the monsters inside your head~
Put all your faults to bed
You can be king~"
Alfred was starting to feel sleepy and began to drift in and out of consciousness as his sister reached the last lyrics of the song. Man crying really does take a lot of you, huh? Alfred snuggled deeper into the fluffy pillows of the bed and fell asleep.
"You've got it all
You lost your mind in the sound~
There's so much more
You can reclaim your crown
You're in control
Rid of the monsters inside your head
Put all your faults to bed
You can be king again~"
Amelia the ended the song and smiled when she saw Alfred had fallen asleep. Amelia got up and kissed her brother's forehead, whispering softly, "Sleep well, brother..."
Amelia than proceeded to walk towards the door and open it quietly and carefully before doing the same when closing it. The American girl went down stairs and was about to start making dinner when a dinner came from the door.
KNOCK! KNOCK!
Amelia's eyebrows furrowed and she walked towards the door, opening it to reveal people or rather nations. Amelia's blue eyes widened as she gazed upon the nations at her doorstep each of them looking very guilt and regretful. Amelia's expression contorted into a sneer as she remembered what her beloved brother had said earlier and glared at them, making even the toughest nations flinch.
"You're you doing here?" Amelia sneered as she glared at each one of them, wondering why they had the audacity to show there faces after what they did to Alfred. England was the first of the group to speak up. "Relax love, we just came here to apologize to America" England explained as he rubbed the back of his neck awkwardly with his hand.
To their surprise Amelia laughed at that statement and looked at her confused as to what she was laughing at. Certainly it wasn't them, was it? "Your all pathetic! After nearly 242 years of abuse, you decided to apologize now?! Don't even give me that bull crap!" Amelia frowned at the confused nations as they didn't get what she was saying.
"We came to apologize, that counts for something right?" A nation in the back exclaimed while other agreements followed after that and they all glared at the female personification as if she was the one who did wrong to Alfred. Amelia glared back and continued to tell them off.
"Sure you came to 'apologize', but do you even feel sorry or are you just trying to clear your guilty consciousnesses?" Amelia asked seriously as she saw their eyes widen before they looked anywhere, but her and her rage filled expression. She knew it.
"Just as I thought! Thousands of years of life hasn't taught you anything about humanity or how to be nation because clearly you know neither." The words stung more than anything, but the hard part was they were true and that made them hurt more than any insult ever could.
"But we were just--" Cuba attempt to reason with the angry American, but it was stopped mid sentence when she raised her hand, silently commanding him to stop making excuses for his actions.
"But I have to say worst of all the things you've done, you made my brother cry!" Amelia shouted at them, making all their eyes widen a tad as they heard they reduced such a happy nation to tears. It broke even his enemies hearts at the thought of it.
"I'm not the only sibling he has! Many of you are his brothers and yet all you do is judge him for stuff he had no control over!" Amelia ranted as she tore the nations down like they did with her brother. Was this how America felt? If so then every word Amelia was telling them was nothing short the cold hard truth.
"Well I hope your happy 'cause he has lost all self confidence and is afraid I'm gonna abandon him! Do you know how that feels?" Amelia managed to calm herself down enough not to kill every single one of them where they stood and spoke in a calm voice.
"Don't come 'round here again or I'll have your asses arrested, diplomatic immunity be damn! Now get the fuck out of my country!"
With those threats spoken, everyone reluctantly left, leaving the two Americans in peace at last.
