It had happened again. The lead singer for that band 'Sons Of Babylon' had broken his leg and was order by doctors to take six weeks rest so that his leg could heal properly. It had been almost two and a half months since Alfred had met the other band members Zach, Sam, and Keith and when he heard the band was in trouble once again he stepped up the lead singer which they seemed to be very grateful for the kind offer.

What made this time so different was that Tyler was going to be joining them this time claiming that 'the boys shouldn't get to have all the fun' whatever that means. Since the group had never worked with a female singer they had to adjust some things like wardrobe (which was now just a edgy t-shirt and a pair of skinny jeans) and who sang what in the song they were doing. The gig was like last time but this time they had only 200 people in a very small stadium.

America was excited to sing with Tyler and he could tell that Tyler felt the same or at least that's what he hoped. And after a little debate it was decided that Alfred and Tyler would be sing the song while the other guys played their instruments.

Alfred saw Tyler fiddle nervously with the skull and crossbones necklace around her neck and went up to her to try and ease her worries after all she did the same for him all the time. I guess it's time for Alfred to return the favor.

"Hey Ty? You look a little nervous so just know you're going to do great!" America encouraged the human girl who stopped playing with the necklace and looked at him with hopeful blue eyes. "You really think so?" Tyler asked a hint of uncertainty lining her voice and she looked down at her suddenly interesting feet but looked back up when the American placed a comforting hand on her shoulder. "I know so Ty. We're gonna do fine so keep your head up and never let you head down~" America gave her grin full of pearly white teeth and Tyler laughed as she recalled how she and Alfred became friends.

"Ok, ok. Break up this lovey dovey shit. We got a show to do." Zach snapped as he walked past the two Americans while heading towards the main stage. Well there goes that moment, Thanks a million Zach! "Here's right we got a show to do. Let's go kick some ass!" Tyler shouted grabbing Alfred's wrist and literally started dragging the personification towards the stage while America struggled to find his footing.

Seriously how in god's name is this girl so strong?

After much protesting from Alfred and shouting back from Tyler the duo finally made it to the stage door where Zach, Sam, and Keith were all waiting. Zach looked at everyone around him as they all shared a look of understanding. "You guys ready to do this?" Zach asked seriously and everyone nodded their heads and were fully prepared to give the performance of their lives even though it was only for 200 people.

The curtain was down giving them a few minutes to get into their positions and set up their equipment. Once everyone and everything was in place the curtain was drawn up and the crowd cheered wildly as the band came into view. The three guys started playing their instruments.

Alfred singing is bold Tyler singing is italics bold italics-together

Tyler and Alfred's vocals blended perfectly as did the playing in the background leaving the crowd in an awed state.

To America the song was kinda ironic. It was a hero singing about needing a hero and that nearly caused America to laugh as he thought he didn't need a hero. Though he didn't as they'd look like total idiots if he did.

"I've gotta fight today to live another day
Speakin' my mind today, my voice will be heard today
I've gotta make a stand, but I'm just a man
I'm not superhuman, my voice will be heard today
It's just another war, just another family torn
My voice will be heard today
It's just another kill
The countdown begins to destroy ourselves."

America was always known as a country who would preach about freedom and equal rights. He's done it since he declared independence from England and will continue to do so until the day he turns into nothing but dust.

"I need a hero to save me now!

I need a hero to save my life!
A hero will save me just in time!"

Tyler was having so much fun rocking out with her friends and was a little sad that Rick(the normal lead singer) couldn't be here to see it. Seriously the dude had the worst luck.

"I need a hero to save my life!
I need a hero just in time!
Save me just in time!
Save me just in time!"

America bathed in the attention the crowd gave him as he did a small solo.

"Who's gonna fight for what's right?
Who's gonna help us survive?
We're in the fight of our lives
And we're not ready to die
Who's gonna fight for the weak?
Who's gonna make 'em believe?
I've got a hero (I've got a hero) livin' in me!
I've gotta fight for what's right
Today, I'm speakin' my mind
And if it kills me tonight

A hero's not afraid to give his life

And Alfred did give his life. Time and time again while no nations knew about it. This include getting stabbed while stopping a mugging, get shot in the head when he tried to defuse a hostage situation, pushing a random stranger out of the way when a car or bus was about to hit them etc. the list went on and America had no future plans of telling anyone about it.

"I need a hero to save me now!
I need a hero! Save me now!
I need a hero to save my life!
A hero will save me just in time!"

Time was running out and the song was about to end so Alfred nodded at Tyler to silently tell her to give it her all to which she nodded back probably trying to tell him to do the same thing.

"I need a hero!

Who's gonna help us survive?

Who's gonna fight for the weak?
Who's gonna make 'em believe?
I've got a hero, I need a hero!
A hero's gonna save me just in time"

With that the song ended and the curtain fell over the stage as everyone took a deep breath. Then everyone threw their instruments to the ground and group hugged while complimenting each other on their performances. Most of the compliments went to Tyler and Alfred for there amazing vocals though.
