Keiths pov

"Yeah, shiros been dead."i finished explaining to allura.

"Maybe we can bring him back...like i did with lance...no he would need a body to use if we did that."allura says mumbling to herself... I feel my heart stop at the mention of lance.

"Wait, what about lance?!"i half shout looking at her. My heart thumping loudly in my ears making it harder to hear her response.

"Yeah, lance died...he pushed me out of the way and took the hit. i had to give him some of my quintessence to bring him back."allura explains. Before she can say another word i jump out of my seat and start running through the halls looking for the red paladin.

"Lance!"i shout. He died, he was gone. For a short amount of time lance was dead gone, red didn't have a paladin for a few minutes cause lance was in the after life. I feel my movements grow faster and i scream his name once more.

I turn a hallway and stop seeing the zombie.

"Lance!"i shout angrily, and walk over to the resurrected boy, my anger growing as i look at him.

"Allura tolled me evrything!"i shout and fear grows in his eyes.

"What the fuck is wrong with you!!!"i shout. I grab the sides of his jacket and pull him closer to shout in his face.

"This is probably one of the stupidest things you have ever done! Why would you do that! Why cant you just protect yourself! No it's to hard to do that, this is the second fucking time you've jumped in front of someone and got close to death. What would i do if you left! What if allura wasn't there? What if she cant heal you next time! What if she couldn't heal you this time! Stop trying to be the god damn hero!"i rant and shout.

"You-"i cut myself off with sobs. Water pools in my eyes and spills over my bottom eyelid.

"You died"i whisper out, i pull him into a hug, his warm body reminding me he is alive, he is fine, he is with me.

"Please...promise me you won't do that again."i whimper out. He wraps his arms around me and i look up at his face.

"I...i cant"he whispers. I rip out of his arms and fall to the floor. Tears falling faster now.

"Why..."i manage to choke out around the other pathetic noises and gross sobbing that erupt from my throat.

He gets down to my level and my face up to look him in the eyes. He starts to open his mouth but before words can escape i pull him in for a kiss. The warmth feeling nice on my lips and the happiest feeling that floods me when he kisses back, a tingling sensation all over my body.

We pull apart and i lean my forehead against his.

"Please..please promise. I care for you so much. I don't want you to get hurt"i mutter out just loud enough for him to hear.

"I'm sorry..."is all he says and i already know he's not going to promise anything. I quickly stand and run out i the room.

Why...why cant you just care about yourself enough.
