Lance pov

I stand by keiths side as allura gives us instructions.

"We don't know where it is but its in this general vicinity"allura says pointing to a map. Keith and i are inside the red lion on our way to a planet to collect samples from personality splitting gems.

"Lance were you listening?"she asks, i nod my head quickly.

"Don't mess up" she says to us...but her eyes are looking directly at me...

I feel my heart drop slightly but continue to smile

"Wouldn't dream of it princess"i say with a smirk, giving her a wink. She just roles her eyes and turns off the monitor. I look and see Keith a frown tugging at his lips...not like thats unusual.

He probably doesn't want me to talk right now, could you imagine my annoying voice bouncing off these walls for god knows how long.

I slide down against the wall and hold in a sigh not wanting to draw any attention my way. I bring my knees up to my chest and wrap my arms around them, we ride along in the silence of the red lions confinement.

You fucking failur.

They sent Keith to babysit you on an easy mission.

I bite my lip at the thought.
I cant help but think this, it's true though, we only brought one lion cause it was an easy find and bring back mission.

So then why would they send keith on such a simple mission.

Maybe to get someone to watch me while I'm out of the castle so the others could relax.

"Keith?!"i break through the silence not wanting to think about this anymore.

"Yes lance?"he asks.

"How much farther"i ask adding a whine to my tone so it adds to the dimwit facade.

"Come here"he says, i stand up and walk to Keith's piloting chair, i look out and see the surface of a planet. It has green grass and large blue spots of water, it's has trees and bushes, flowers and the bluest sky I've seen since i left earth.

"wow"i breath out.

"I know"he says and lands his lion on the surface of the beautiful planet.

We walk out and decide to split up and search for the gems. I look around trees, in bushes, not one gem. I search the caves, i find some gems but none that follow the description of the light purple crystal we were meant to find.

I find myself running out of places to search. With a huff i lean against a huge rock. A glint of purple catches my attention and draws me closer. A purple light is being shown through a crack between the two rocks.

"The gems"i mumble and i start running around to find Keith. I cant move that rock all by myself.

I find him staring at the water. I run to his side and before i say anything he informs me why he's staring at the magnificent blue of the water.

"What if the crystals were under water? We should have brought blue, she would be able to check better"he says, i laugh lightly at his words.

"We don't need blue, I think i found them. I just need you to get red to move the boulder"i say, he agrees to my plan and gets in red. I lead him to the cave and point at the rock he is meant to move, as soon as there is a big enough space for me to get into i run inside.

I step up on a slightly levitated platform that gives me a slightly better view of the cave.

"Woah"i breath out looking at the walls that reflect the purple light making the cave seem like its glowing violet, the gems surround the space i stand in each a different hight with one main huge one in the middle...thats the one we'll take. I start to feel more tired, like i could just fall asleep here. I look down and see the platform I'm on is actually some of the purple gem.

"Oh no..."

Keith's pov

Lance soon runs in not even waiting for me to join him, typical. I get out of red and start walking towards the cave. Lance runs out a wide smile stretched over his face and eyes practically glowing.

"Lance!"i call out to him.

"Yes!"i hear...but not from the lance I'm talking to, i whip my head to see another lance come out of the cave. A cocky smirk on his face.

Then another lance appears, this one in a dress that...hugs him nicely. I blush at the veiw. Then more and more come out of the cave. To many to keep track.

I run inside to see lance standing on a gem, he's hunched over, face expressionless, eyes open no pupils. The sight frightened me.

"Lance?!"i yell running towards the figure.

My heart stopped when i flew through his body instead of grabbing onto solid material. I wave my hand through lance a few times before it all clicks.

This is a personality splitting crystal, lances personality has been set loose . I need to get every part of him back and soon.

So i start my quest finding different lances some I'm not surprised to find like his happy side, cocky side, childish side, caring side, and many others.

I was shocked when i met his logic, i didn't think it would be so...knowledgable

"whaoh, your smart"i say....like a dumbass.

"Yes...that is typically what I'm here for"he says, looking at me like i was from another planet.

"I know just...i didn't think lance would..."i start but trail off at the end

"I was given a scholarship to one of the most prestigious schools and came second in my entire class....what did you expect"he says sounding offended. It finally dawned on me, lance was actually really smart...then why the fuck did he all ways act so stupid.

"A scholarship?"i question, i didn't know he got a scholarship.

"My family has a lot of people in it, we didn't have the money to send me to such a good school. Start using your reasoning" the smart lance says.

"What ever"i mumble grasping his wrist before he saw me coming.

The combat lance was hard to catch, little bitch cut me. His love was also an enlightening one to catch...

"Keith!!!"i hear one of the lances shout. I turn just in time to have one pull me into a big hug. He finally pulls away and looks at my face, a dopy smile lopsidedly placed on his lips.

"I love your eyes"he said with a small laugh.

"And your hair"he continues.

"And you nose"

"And well hell i love all of you"he finally finishes looking at me with half lidded eyes. I feel heat rush to my face.

"W-what?"i question.

"You heard me, mullet"he says with a giggle and he starts playing with my hair. I feel my breath restrict in my chest like my lungs were getting smaller as smaller, i felt like my heart would burst with each beat.

It was easy to get him inside of lance. I found other things, like insomnia who asked me how often i stay up all night, i met his humility who begged me not to put him in that and i quote 'god forsaken fuck up known as lance' I didn't know that existed...i guess we have some talking. After a while i got everyone it was no easy task.

Soon lance looked at me, he had a bright smile, and his eyes glimmered. He started walking towards me with a hop to his step that he never used to have. He seemed off...

I look up at the crystals seeing all of the lances still there...shouldn't they have gone into lance?

"I don't think i got everyone..."i mumble.

"Lance who'd i miss?"i ask looking at lance. I see him shudder a bit at my question.

"No one, now let's go come on!"he says with his happy grin. He pulls on my arm slightly as i continue to look at the crystals. Then i see it, the main crystal is missing a lance inside of it.

"Stay here"i tell him and start to look for the final lance.

I hear whimpering and sniffles from behind me. Wait whys it crying? This is the main part of lance, shouldn't it be bubbly or happy or confident or....

Oh god, i turn around looking for the last lance frantically. I see the figure curled up in a ball near the water.

I walk to him and sit by his side in the grass.

"I want to leave..."he mumbles, still staring into the deep blue that was the water, i don't know if its an ocean or lake.

"Why do you want to leave?"i ask the personality piece.

"Then finally i could stop being a burnden, to the team, the world no wait the universe."he says, how could this personality shard be a burden to the universe, it would only effect lance- lance, the shard isn't talking about itself it's talking about lance, it's talking as if it is lance.

"And look at me just bringing you into my problems...good fucking job idiot"he says and stares into the water like it held the key...but the key to what.

"Just get this over with"he says looking at me, his eyes are so glassy, his lips don't even attempt to make a smile. He holds his hands out to me.

"Come on, drag me back to lance"he says, i grasp his wrist and pull him to his feat. He makes a hiss of pain as i pull on his wrist.

"Don't tug so hard"he breaths through his teeth, but I'm not pulling hard at all. I cant believe this is part of lance, a HUGE part of lance. I start pulling faster wanting to help my friend...my whole friend not just this piece of his personality.

"Gah!"it yells as we get to the top. Finally curiosity gets to me and i pull up his sleeve before he can even protest.

"Oh my god"i whisper looking at him. This wasn't lance...this wasnt all of lance at least, but it still hurt so much to see the cuts and scars littered on a version of lances body. I feel tears start to form. The real lance may not have all of these, maybe just this version. When i see the lance I'm supposed to shove this personality fragment into it starts to shake.

"Keith buddy, don't do this."he says his smile starting to fade.

"I'm sorry lance but in order to take you off this planet you need all your personality"i say, i don't know if i want to put this back into lance...it would only make him miserable.

"What about the bonding moment we had, does that not matter, come on everything- NO GET BACK!"he starts to scream as i get closer dragging the lance personality closer, lance try's to step off but his legs are stuck in place on the gem.

"NO! Please, i beg you"he whimpers still unable to move. The sight breaks my heart but i still fling the lance personality inside and all the lance in the personalitys disappear of the gems and I'm left looking at lance.

Lance falls to his knees on the ground tears falling down his face. I kneel next to him and he brings his head up to look at me.

"Why would you do this.."
