Lances pov

"So what's in the drink again?"Shiro asks eyeing the liquid in a cup that he just took a sip from.

We saved this planet and now they are throwing a party for us. I've flirted with a few girls to keep them off my track, though the only one I wanted to flirt with was Keith....ugh

I smile and a gaze at the boy taking a sip from his cup. I lift the cup to my own lips and drink the bright red liquid, it tastes delicious.

"Well we heard the princess talking about how you need to bond some more, so we thought we would give you a drink that made all your worst parts come out."the leader of the planet says with a smile one her face. I feel my eyes widen as I stiffen up. I throw my cup as far as I can.

Pidge spits out the mouth full she has just drank.

"What?!"Keith shouts. Shiro gives us a look while the leader stares at us in worry.

"Did we do something wrong?"she asks.

"No, no. You did just fine. This team
Just needs some help being open about themselves"allura says walking out of the shadows.

"When dose it take effect"hunk asks, a nervousness in his voice.

"When it hits midnight, then it will last till midnight the next day" she responds. I hear pidge groan.

"Lance you okay"Shiro asks, I was still stiff, my back starting to ache, my eyes started to dry up, and fists still clenched. I couldn't respond. I seemed to be stuck in position, will they find out? Maybe I could stay in my room? What would I tell them? That I was taking a spa day! Yes.

"Lance?"hunk asks this time.

"Yes! Um, I mean I'm good"I say relaxing my body and putting on my smile, I add a laugh to the end.

"Sadly no worst part will come out tomorrow because I'm perfect"I say with a smirk and a wink at allura. Soon everyone relaxes and allura groans.

Pov change Keith

Time skip

I wake up and I'm met with the view of a shadow version of me.

"The disgrace is up"he says.

"Fuck off"I mutter in sleepy tone while I get dressed for the day, I walk out to the kitchen and see almost everyone there and their dark versions. Not lance though.

"Okay everyone, we will refer to our dark version as dark enter name"Shiro says in his leader voice.

"Wow you could hardly tell that you were scared"dark Shiro says. We eat breakfast the dark versions of us had lots to say.

"Wow hunk, no wonder your much bigger then the others"hunks dark version would taunt and we would reassure him that he was perfect. We all were quite as the dark versions held conversations together. We made it into the training room, ready to bond and talk about our dark selves.

"This is dark Shiro...he's my insecurity about being a good leader"Shiro says not making eye contact with anyone else.

"This is dark pidge, she-he-they....they are my confusion about my gender and my fear of never finding my family"pidge says her eyes go glassy.

"This is dark hunk, he's my body insecurity"hunk flushes with embarrassment. It's my turn.

"This is dark Keith, he's my fear of my galra roots...and suppression of my gay thoughts"I say, my face staying straight as I look at everyone.

"Okay I think that's everyo-"Shiro starts but a loud crash is heard along with screaming.

"Awe lance don't you want to play"lances voice is heard.

"No!"lances voice responds. The doors bust open lance and dark lance run in. Dark lance has a grin as lance chases him. Suddenly dark lance stops and lance grabs onto the dark persona of himself.

"Let's go before any one else sees y- fuck"lance says finally noticing all of us in the room.

"You bitch"lance says looking at his dark persona who just shrugs.

"Lance, we are referring to our dark sides as dark enter name here, we all shared what our personas were, why don't you share yours"Shiro says.

"Wow, you looked so stupid like that. So pathetic"dark Shiro says. Lance crosses his arms as looks the ground.

"Wow pouting like baby, I thought you had no bad sides dumb ass"dark lance says walking around lance. Now I really wonder what dark side lance has, he dosent seem to be targeting one think about lance...just lance in general. Lance still refuses to speak.

"Good god, you can never shut up and yet the one time they actually want to hear your stupid voice you decide to be a pussy and shut up"dark lance says, lance shudders slightly. He looked so scared and weak.

"Lance?"hunk asks.

"He's-"lance starts to say but ends up cut off.

"I'm dark lance, and I'm his depression. All his self loathing wrapped forced into the disgusting shape of lance."lances dark side says.

"What? But lance dosent have...we...I..."I try to say something but all that comes out is unfinished sentences.

"He's so happy"Shiro says.

"Facade, so good at faking it...to bad it all had to fall apart when you drank that liquid, should have thought twice"dark lance says.

"Ha! You...haha you couldn't Even tell when one of your teammates had depression, oh my god your such a horrible leader! This is hilarious!" dark shiro laughs, patting Shiro on the shoulder, Shiro looks away for a second. Lance looks at the ground, a drip of water falls from his face.

He looked so broken, shaking where he stands, not making eye contact, crying....i want to hold him in my arms, tell him I'll be there to protect him.

"Wow...thats gay. Look Keith, do you ever think there is a chance we will ever like you. He is the ladies man, flirts with every girl in sight, so why do you keep up your delusion. Fucking fag"my dark side says. Lances head whips up faster then eyes could see, a hopeful look in his own.

"Yes lance, i know he described his crush as a person who flirts with every girl, but he isn't talking about you" dark lance says. Wait...does he like me?

"No shut up! If your mom and dad were around do you really think they woul be proud that they have a faggot as their son?!"my dark side asks. Both mine and lances eyes light up as we make eye contact.

"No what are you doing! If i knew you assholes were gonna interfere i wouldn't have worked so damn hard to get lance in here and just have torn him apart in his room"dark lance says looking at my dark side.

"Are you kidding me, you get to hurt him in every way, i only get two and your starting to take one away!"my dark side says. I start walking towards lance, cupping his cheek in my hand.

He leans forward and soon our lips connect. The shouts from both our dark sides are blurred out as i am consumed by the warmth of his lips against mine. We pull apart after a while, our foreheads leaning against each other's. We are both panting. I stare into his ocean like eyes that now glimmer brighter then I've ever seen.

"Not the way i wanted you to find out"he says.

"Yeah"i agree.

"God damn it!"we hear a scream much like mine. Me and lance turn our heads to see both our dark sides wrestling, mine having the upper hand and pinning lance down.

"You wreck everything!"my dark side yells in the dark lances face. Dark lance pushes dark Keith off of him.

Lances pov

"Look, all this romance....its nice really but I can't have it staying this way."dark lance says and stands up.

"Look if you want to meet the real lance...then maybe you want to meet his arms"dark lance says with a grin.

"This is a trick, there is nothing on my arms!"I say defensively, but dark lance and I both know the truth, and I'm afraid the others will find out find out as well.

"I still need to check"Keith says gripping my jacket harder, probably incase I try to run.

"N-no that's really unessassary"I say trying to back out of Keith's grip but instead his grip tightens.

"Lance?"hunk questions from behind.

"I'm fine, really no nee-"I start but am cut off once again.

"What a pathetic corner you have found yourself in, and now you must be asking yourself"dark lance says take a few steps towards me.

"Why, why did I do this"he says dramatically placing one hand on his forehead as he stands by my side and Keith keeps me in his grip. He grasps onto my jacket sleeve cuffs.

"Because you needed to know you still feel!"he shouts and pulls my sleeves up revealing white bandages with bloody spots from before I entered the room.

"See lance, and now you must ask yourself how am I helping you"dark lance says. His eyes now getting shiner.

"H-how?"I stutter out.

"Because you feel to much pain, the only way to help you...is to end you"
