Pidges pov

My mouth hangs agape as I watch Keith walk out of the room. I stare at lances body that still remains in the air on its knees hands by its side...then the laws of gravity catches up to it and the body falls to the floor, lances once warm chest smacking into the ground with a loud slap. It splashes in the puddle of blood that seeped from his own neck and head, blood droplets fly everywhere some of the warm liquid hits my face warming it up with how sickeningly hot it was as if it came straight from his body and not from the floor. My eyes trail to his head that used to always smile at me, that held shimmering blue eyes that would hold so much joy, words that flowed from his mouth in strings of never ending topics, his face that flowed with life now is dim and dull drained of color and life.

I hear a scream of agony fill the room and a loud thud that was followed by sobs. I turned to see hunk who held his head in his hands his cry's shaking his entire being, he is on his knees in front of his best friend in a pose similar to the one lances body had before it fell. I wanted to move to comfort him but I found my limbs had filled with led and it dragged me to the ground as I myself found my way to my knees. The memory's of lance trying to get me from my studies to hang out filling my brain, his confused looks when ever I would talk about science, his comfort in my times of need when I missed my family, the pure joy and pride he held when he beat me at a video game.

The boy I had known since the garrison lay before me his head separated from the rest of him letting the liquid of his body spill and be seen by all.

I felt my teeth clench together in pure anger and I let out a scream of frustration and betrayal.

Time skip

"In the past 24 hours we have lost a valued member."shiro spoke as I clenched my first ready to kill anyone who said the wrong thing.

"We need talk about it...access the damage."allura said now taking the spot light.

"Keith what the fuck is wrong with you, we should tie him up! God knows what he could do next."hunk says anger flowing from his words and I nod in agreement.

"I did what was right, he has killed thousands, he could have easily turned on us."Keith said trying to defend himself.

"If we are following that logic then shouldn't we rip the warm head from your body."I growl out in response to his pathetic excuse for killing a boy so dear to the team.

"There's a difference, he killed thousands of innocent people, I killed one murderer!" Keith says  standing up from his spot.

"He didnt have a choice! He didn't want to!!"hunk shouted standing from his seat slamming his hands on the table.

"He did have a choice! And he chose wrong!"Keith responded his voice raising.

"It was either kill one person or watch a family die, he was doing what was best for the most people!"I stand up now my bayard forming into my little glowing triangle.

"Stop it! We already lost one paladin, we can't lose another, now put your weapons down."allura said from her seat. Slowly we each take our seat watching the other in anticipation of their next movement.

"Look, we will all miss lance, but right now we must think of the team. I will try and see if blue will let me in, we can tell the public he died in a solo mission that he just wasn't trained enough for."allura says.

"What?! How could you even be thinking about that right now! One of our own just killed a friend and all you want to do is take is place, and mock his fighting ability?!"hunk shouts stand from his chair now.

"He was my best friend! He was there for me when I needed him! A-and he didn't get a choice wether to kill or not, he was tormented by his father and your first reaction i-is to kill him?! Replace him?! You all are cruel bastards!"hunk shouts storming out of the room you could practically see the smoke leaving his person.

"I'm with hunk, your all assholes."I say but I remain in my seat.

"They...they have a point."shiro admits, even he is going against his brother and the princess.

"What's done is done, we need to figure out what to do next and we have just made a plan so I think this meeting is No longer necessary, I'll see you all tomorrow."allura says and leaves the room. Then Keith and shiro stand to leave, I remain in my seat and just watch.

I see Keith reach his hand to touch shiro, but shiro flinches back, hints of fear clear on his face. Keith retracts his hand.

"Look what I did was right, and you know it."Keith says. Shiro just shakes his head and looks down.

"Was it Keith, was it?"he asks and then walks out. Keith then leaves and soon I am the only one in the room.

"Great meeting guys...now the most important topic here...how should we honour the death of a good friend, amazing shoulder, and loyal kid."I mutter out into the empty room knowing no one would listen and also know that lances body will probably remain in the storage room for some time rotting before anyone thinks to do something for him.
