Lances pov

"Alright team we are here on earth!"allura says, a few days ago we were given information that we would be heading back to earth, while i was happy to see the familiar blue waters and sandy beaches i was more excited about going home.

"We have contacted all your family's...well except lances. There was some difficulty, do you have another way to contact them?"allura asks, all attention seems to be on me and i place a huge smile on my face.

"Yeah i know how to contact them."i say, I'm going to go home, but i don't need to drag them down on my way.

Soon we land, the only thought keeping the tears from spilling is the one thought 'I'm going home' and i knew i was.

I start walking away from the team, a little brown path that the garrison had.

"Hey lance! Where are you going?"Keith asked from behind me. I turned around with a smile on my face.

"I'm going to see my family, want to come?"i ask him. What no! He cant come we are going home!

"Sure."he says and walks by my side, he rests one hand on my shoulder, he knew what this path meant. Once we make it to the end i see all the names written in headstones. I walk to them all with a smile and tears.

"I'm back...I'm sorry i left"i whisper as i reach the headstones.

"Keith this is my family, all of them."i say looking around at all the names around me. Keith looks around and notices all the names with mclain, we had others without the same last name, but he wouldn't know that.

"This is how i first heard of you."i say pointing towards keiths fathers grave, you could could tell they were related to him by the last name, i just never knew how they were related.

"That spot was empty for so long, then when my family got a neighbor i of course payed my respects. I would even talk to him on the occasion. Then when i saw your last name and it matches this mans i knew you had lost someone and that itself is a tragedy"i tell him my story.

"Wow."he whispers out.

"Thats why i found flowers on his grave"Keith mumbled.

"What did you talk to him about?"Keith asks.

"I would talk to him about how lucky he was to have my family as neighbors tell him how nice my family was, ramble on about death, what i thought it was, how tragic it was, and i would tell him how i was sure his family missed him, how the world missed him. Once i found out about you, i would tell him about you, how you were doing, what you were doing. I would tell him i was gonna come home."i say looking at the grave.

"What do you mean come home?"Keith questions a worried look on his face.

"Relax, i meant i was going back to Cuba."i saw trying to calm the boy down. Soon his face loosens and he smiles a bit. He grabs my hand and pulls me closer.

"I'll come with you."he whispers.

"That sounds nice...but you don't have to"i tell him.

"I want to come with you, i want to be by your side"he whispers into my ear, i nod a little before pulling back.

"Okay...but can you please go to the others i want some alone time with my family"i say. He nods understanding and walks away.

I stand in the middle of all the graves and pull out my bayard.

"I've done good mama. I've finally fulfilled my purpose. I can come home now."i whisper. I the bayard transform into my gun, not the ideal weapon to use, i would have liked a hand gun.

I've tried, the whole time in space i couldn't only think about being with my family, I've waited years to do this.

Now i finally can. I'm sorry i had to lie to you Keith, but i needed to do this, i NEED to come home. Hopefully you forgive my mistakes.

I places the gun barrel to my head and stretch my arm out. My finger gives a tug and i feel fire spread through my body, and the worst head ache I've ever had....then calm, all pain was gone.

The white that had spread through my vision went away and i saw my family. All smiling and happy. I ran to them giving them all hugs, kissing foreheads. When i turn to the last person i notice he was not part of my family.

"Thank you, for visiting and talking to me."he said with a smile and extended his hand.

"Your keiths father."i say he nodded in confirmation. I shook his hand. He waited for me to come home too. Once i let go of his hand i look behind him and see many people, all of them aliens from other planets.

All these people waited for me to come home...now i am home, and i cannot be happier.
