--Lance POV--

I was walking around the castle trying to calm myself after getting frozen in a healing pod like- the fuck?! That. was. Terrifying.

As I was walking around I heard a voice call for help. "Hello..? Wh-who is it?!" I called out concerned as I heard their coice again.

"-nce Lance! I'm trapped in the airlock! Come quick it's going to open!" I heard the voice call and reconized it straight away.

"KEITH! DON'T WORRY I'M COMIN' BUDDY!" I yelled as I sped to the airlock blinded by Keiths yells for help.

When I got to the airlock I quickly opened it running in "Keith?!" I didn't notice the door shut as I sunk to the floor "I-I was too late.."

I watched as my tears hit the floor before I buried my face in my hands gripping onto my hair as I sobbed at the 'loss' of my crush.

"Airlock will open in 30 tics"

When I heard that I widened my eyes with realization as I looked out the seethrough door to where the castle is, my eyes sore tears spilling down them.

I quickly ran to the door and started pounding on it not wanting the same fate as Keith "-Y HEY! SOMEONE? ANYONE?! HELP!" I chocked out as I banged on the door my eyes now wide with fear.

after about 20 tics of banging I see a figure walk my direction. hands in their pockets, head low, raven hair....Keith?

I started banging harder trying to get his attention as I screamed his name "KEITH! KEITH BUDDY! HELP!"

"Airlock will open in 5 tics"

but he- I heard him. My heart stopped in realization. He set this up, he lured me here then came at the last second to watch me get sucked out into space.

He then looked up at me and ran over to the door banging on it "-NCE LANCE! WHAT ARE YOU DOING IN THERE?! I'M GONNA GET YOU OUT OKAY DON'T WOR-"

The sound of the airlock opening and Lance getting sucked out into space cut him off.

"Lance...." tears started to form in his eyes as he just stood there watching as Lances body floated away...lifeless.

--No POV--

He stood there until he couldn't see it anymore, until Lances body wasn't there.

Keith shakily turned around, his face pale and still from the shock.

When he got to the control room where everyone was they just stared at him "Number 3 are you alright..?" Coran asked as he walked over to him.

Keith just shook him off as he walked to the others to tell them what just happened.

But before he could open his mouth Allura started talking.

"Okay, so it appears there is a virus in the castle that is making it go all crazy" She stated before turning around her expression turning into a confused one.

she then tilted her head "where's Lance?"
"yeah, I haven't seen number 2 since he helped me clean the pods."

"probably doing some face mask, getting that perfect skin" Pidge mocked as everyone but Coran and Keith laughed and scoffed in agreement.

Keith just kept his head low before pointing out to the huge window "...out there..." his voice was shaky as was his hand as everyone looked at Keith then the window in confusion.

"That's not possible. Because of the virus all electricity can been cut short and the lion hangars wont open" Allura stated still laughing a bit from Pidges' comment.

"..airlock.." Keith said his voice still shaky and almost sounded broken.

"I heard someone yelling for help and followed it, but I got there too late and he-" Keith paused as he chocked on a sob "-he got sucked out." He couldn't take it any longer as his knees gave in causing him to drop to the floor

everyone gave sorrowful looks as they comforted eachother.

Not like they cared anyways...not like it mattered. It hadn't even been 2 months, and someone they didn't know was by far one of their best paladins is gone.

--Lance POV--

I watched as Keith started baging on the door, a somewhat mockingly look on his face. I stared at him blankly before being sucked out to space.

I stupidly inhaled panicking, my lungs emptying and being filled up with nothing.

I started choaking on the loss of air, suffocating as I saw my tears drifting off of my face into space, the castle getting further and further away from the castle.

black dots started to appear in my vision as I felt my heart stop pumping, darkness consuming me.

SLAP!

I woke up by someone slapping me. It felt horrible, air suddenly filling my lungs again.

It hurts..

..make it stop..

..Please.

I felt as hot tears rolled down my cheeks, as I was I guess...coming back to life.

When my eyes eventually opened I saw a face I've never seen before, but knew it wasn't a good one.

"blue paladin," her voice croaked as she stalked around me. I could feel the tension rising up my body.

"Chucked out an airlock..? That is definitely how you treat a team member." she spat as she stopped infront of me.

I was tied onto a wall, my hands and legs tied apart from eachother. My head just above theirs.

They wore a black, well purple-ish robe like outfit, I could just see the ends of their somewhat grey hair and...blue chin?

"Blue paladins, always the most loyal, selfless, and they always have the best personalities out of the other paladins...so why did they get rid of you?" They questioned looking up at me, I could just make out what their face figure was.

"wh-what..?" I knew what they meant...I had only been a paladin for a month or something...surely they were going to get rid of me some day, but I didn't think it would be like this.

"I was watching, one of them just watched as you got sucked out, mocking you as you banged on the glass, BEGGING them to help you and let you out, but they just watched and laughed."

what they were saying started to get to me,
I knew they all hated my flirting, but that was just trying to distract me from the fact that I'd be stuck in space with the boy I've had a crush on since I first got to know them.

But he's the one who sent me away..he's the one who lured me into the airlock..he's the one that just mocked me as I pleaded for help, to live.

He's the one that played with my feelings. He killed me...

they then smiled a creepy but..warm? smile at me as they saw my troubled and defeated look.

They continued to repeat things like how they left me, how they wanted me dead, how they misjudged me, to me, that was until some grape with a mop on their head walked in.

(This is my attempt at slow burn for lancelot sksk and this is all improv, like this is all on the spot so bare w me)

"This is who you found drifting a varga away from The Castle of Lions?" his voice wasn't like theirs, it was soft and had a mice accent to it.

"yes,, he is...well was a paladin of voltron. But seeming we found him dead and no other paladins searching for him they must've been the ones to kill him" They stated in their creepy but convincing voice.

"oh....what a tragedy," the taller one said with a smirk "do you think he could be of any use to us?"

"seeming it has barely been a two months that he has been a paladin, he wont have much information." They stated again as theywalked over to something that seemed to be a window their hands in something that seemed to be pockets.

"Interesting..." the taller one stated again before walking up to me trailing a finger down my jawline to my chin tilting my head up to face his.

I gulped a bit scared on what he was going to do and say. Allura told us about our enemies, a species called galra, they are purple and gome in different sized etc, so...wait-

'holy shit they're galra...they're gonna kill me...again,'

the thoughs just made their way into my head as I looked at him, a mixture of fear and confusion on my face.

"I think he'd make a perfecr soldier, and maybe so, one of my generals." he stated as he let go of my chin stepping away.

what...wait. Me? perfect? he must be dilutional(again, I can't spell so... yeah.) my team killed me...that says enough doesn't it?!

"I've seen how you are little blue, you're an amazing fighter, and you have an intriguing aim, never seen someone with skills like yours," He stated honestly.

"So...what do you say? Do you wish to join the galra empire? Get revenge/vengeance on your team for killing such a...valuable member?"

I looked at his face to see if I could spot any sign of sarcasm...there was none. He was being drop dead serious.

I managed to choke out a few words before I said my real answer "y-your name...wh-hat is it?"

He looked at me with a confused look before smirking "Lotor, Prince Lotor of the Galran Empire"

I gave him a smirk back "well..Lot-tor, princ-ce of the Galran Emp-pire..." I paused for a second catching my breath

"I'd love to~"

he gave me a knowing look before walking to my restraints that kept my up on the wall "I'm going to untie you,, do you think you can stand?" he was asking pure curiosity and concern seeming he'd just been reserected.

I nodded not wanting to look weak in any shape or form.

When he untied my I collapsed updet my own weight as Lotor caught me before my head smacked on the floor.

"Okay...So maybe I couldn't." Lotor chuckled at what I said before hoisting me up, wraping one of my arms around his shoulder.

"Let's go get you some armor and get you to your new room Blue" I nodded a bit as I let him basically drag me seeming I could not, feel my legs, at all.

--Timeskip to 2 weeks later brought to you by the door of my house--

(This isaround the time they got the new crystal and are with the balmerans after defeating Lizard boi)

I was doing better and felt as if I belonged here. I am a high rank soldier, I know, in the span of 2 weeks I've proven to be better than most of them already.

Today I am on a mission to see what appened at the balmera, I have been sent to lead a whole fleet. This would prove if I'm ready to become a general.

And nothing would get in my way.

--Timeskip to when they're above the balmera and the team are down in the mines--

We could already see the lions on the surface of the balmera. Each lion was there. Even blue.

'So they did just want me off the team..'

I though to myself as I gritted my teeth before talking into the com

"Alright! Voltron is down there, be away and kill on sight. You can engage on the paladins and don't be afraid. Killing is against their code."  I grinned as I spoke

"I'll go over the plan one last time before we engage to the balmera. We are to trap/inprison the balmerans. If they go rouge then kill them without hesitation. They are needed to mine the crystals. And since team voltron is there we're going to have to be quick about things, don't let them near the surface, that's where their lions are and if they have their lions then they will destroy our only escape. Is everyone clear?!"

almost immediately they responded "Sir, yes sir!"

I grinned as the the hangar door opened "Break!"

I watched as they fell from the sky in their pods filling the surface, I watched from the ship as I got the ion canon ready to fire at the lions

"Ready?"

"Aim."

"Fire!" I yelled as the ion canon shot at the black lion. I watched as it helplessly fell limp onto the balmeran surface.

once I had shot red, green and yellow I watched as soldiers spreak across the planet, dead balmeran bodies scattered everywhere.

I left my second in command for the misson in charge whilst I went into a pod to the surface.

The reason I left blue for Last is because I wanted to see if I still had a strong enough bond with her to pilot again.

wich I did...

As soon as I got to the surface I ran out the pod killing the balmerans who dared go rouge.

as soon as I got to blue she lowered her head. Allowing me to enter. The fact I knew what I was doing and what I wanted helped blue see from my point of view.

I could feel her approval in my choice of sides. She looked at my memories of what happened. How they lured me into that airlock.

How they killed me. She was the only thing I confided in. She knew when I was upset or hurt by what they would say and she'd call me to her.

And she was more than thrilled to see her cub again and have him as her pilot.

I waited in blue as I saw five familiar faces run towards the lions "You ready girl?" I asked as I stood up to walk out of her, hearing a purr of aproval.

Blue shot a beam in a straight line stopping them in their tracks.

"Why is it shooting at us?!" Allura spat as she looked at the lion. They only saw the lions as machines, war weapons.

Oh how wrong they were.

Blue then lowered her head as I stepped out.

As I walked out my galran armor was just visible through the smoke.

"A galran soldier? What is that machine thinking?! Everyone prepare to engage" Shiro announced as he activated his hand and the others activated their bayards.

I chuckled at the sight of them "pffft, you-you really think I'm here for you? It's just a convenience that you're here. But then...of corse a balmera would go rouge because the infamous paladins of voltron saved it."

I watched as their expressions darkened from behind their helmets

"What were you doing inside the blue lion and piloting it?!" Allura spat as she looked at me.

"Oh! My bad I forgot to introduce myself!"
I took off my helmet, honestly I did look a bit different so I wouldn't blame them if they didn't reconize me.

I had a scar down my right eye, from above my eyebrow to my mid cheek, Haggar healed my eye tho. I didn't care about hiding what I looked like so my hair wasn't straightened and naturally curled, Lotor showed me a haircut that might be more comfortable under my helmet and make me look, in Lotors eyes, hotter, wich was to grow the top of my hair and get an undercut. Wich I did and he was right, alot comfier and Lotor did think I looked hotter.

I then stepped closer as Pidge, Hunk and Shiro dropped their guard. Keith on the other hand...didn't want to believe it.

"Lance..?" Pidge finally spoke as an explosion was heard behind them, Balmeras blood chilling screams heard everywhere.

"In the flesh, but...Lotor thought Blue suited me better so I just went with it." I shrugged as I held my gun in my hand a few blades in my pockets.

"b-but I watched you die! Yo-you got sucked out into space!" Keith finally spoke dropping his guard.

"Oh precious, stupid. Keith." I spat "Isn't magic...wonderful~"

"Magic...Haggar! She healed you?!" Allura spat straightening her stance.

"Yep!" I popped the 'p' as I got a tighter grip of my gun blue ready to step in if they thried to attack me. I could feel her tense theough our bond.

I turned to face her "easy gurl easy... It's okay, I want to kill them too but that simply isn't fair now..?" I spoke in a reassuring voice before looking at the others coldly

"Is it?" I spat at them again.

"Lance what do you mean..? You died even if we found your body before Haggar did we wouldn't of been able to save you!" Shiro spoke this time as I chuckled.

"Ask Allura. She has healing magic. Same as Haggars. She could've healed me and she knows it. But...she wanted me gone. She was happy that's why you sent me to that airlock, used Keiths voice to lure me there." I growled as she hung her head and everyone looked at her in disbelief.

"It was an inconvenience that the castle happened to be haunted, the perfect opportunity to send someone out an airlock." I could hear Blues growl as she stared at them.

"Anyways, you're useless right now. I have what I wanted and that's the balmera back under Zarkons control. Just look around" I gestured my hand for them to look at what has happened. Dead Balmerans everywhere, fire, Galra soldiers yelling in triumph.

"Now, I best be going to report back to Lotor~" as I mentioned his name I felt all warm inside. He had been checking up on me every day, comforting me when I had PTSD about the whole airlock situation.

As I was walking over to blue I heard Keith call me "Lance! Lance why are you doing this?! Why are you with them they're only using you to get to us!"

I furrowed my eyebrows at that "You think the whole universe revolves around you guys huh? Well it doesn't! Lotor isn't using me to get to you, Nor are Zarkon or Haggar, They simply need someone to help them grow the galra empire and that I will do!" I spat as then growling.

"But Lance- I- I live you! Ever since the garrison I have, I-I juat didn't know how to express my feelings!" He cried out as I turned around forcing tears to come out my eyes pulling a sad face

"R-really.?? y-you do?!" I said as I slowly walked over to Keith, My gun still in my hands.

he just nodded as he looked at me with hope in his eyes a small smile appearing on his face.

I ran up to him dropping my gun wrapping my arms around him in a hug.

we stayed there for a while until I whispered something into Keiths ear "Vrepit sa bitch"

I pulled out the hug along with pulling out the blade I just stabbed him with. Everyones joyful faces dropped into snger and shock in realization "Have fun finding a way to get back to the castle!" I yelled as I ran back to blue grabbing my gun.

I turned around smirking as I shot Hunk in the chest, now, they'd be down a lion and a paladin.

"If I'm correct, Allura only has enough magic to heal one, so...who will it be Allura, Hunk or Keith? The fate of the universe and their lives depends on you," I chuckled as I ran to blue as she opened her moth lowering her head.

I stepped inside Blue flying up to the ship walking into the control room as Blue put up her shield.

"Put Lotor or Zarkon on call I don't really care who." I said as I wiped my face with my bloody hand smiling.

"Ah Blue, how's the mission going?" The voice spoke wich I soon realized to be Lotors,

"The mission was a success. The paladins of Voltron were there, they do their job shittily, they were too busy over the fact that I'm alive to remember that I had over 100 soldiers taking the balmera back" I chuckled before looking at him through the call "Oh! And turns out I still have a strong bond with blue so we have a lion on our side"

I saw as Lotor looked at me in both shock and Triumph "And the other lions? And their paladins?"

"pssh, that was easy, whilst they were busy down in the mines I shot all but blue with the ion canon. And if they don't get their Lions working soon they're going to have to say goodbye to yellow and red." I chuckled.

"You got the red and yellow paladins?" Lotor looked at me in confusion

"No! They would just find a way to escape, any of them woukd and they'd use the info they got from being here against us, so when he confessed his feelings to me I pretended like mine were still there and hugged him," Lotors face darkened, he was quite protective of Lance, well Blue.

"And by hug I mean when I hugged him I stabbed him so he's most likely going to bleed out. My feelings already belong to another." Lotor looked at me with a smirk

"So my little Blue needs a reward?~" he said in his little seductive tone as a blush crept along my face.

"I-I what..?" my eyes widened as I looked at him. The other people in the room had left already. My calls were private. They weren't to listen.

"You stayed true to your empire..correct?" I nodded the blush getting darker.

"You've made it so Allura has to choose who will live and who will die out of red and yellow...correct?"

I nodded again

"and you've also got a stronger bond with the Blue lion wich means we've got a lion on our side...correct?" I nodded again as I stood still my posture straight, in a respectful manner.

"well then, when you get back come to me and my generals," he said with a smirk.

I just nodded as he disconnected. "Either I'm becoming a general, or he's just teasing me" he sighed as he called the others back in

"Okay, Call the workers tell them that the planet is secure and they can start constructing once voltron have left" I stated as I got the ship ready for hyperspace

"The somdiers that are down there can keep the balmerans at bay until the workers and guard are there, then they can take the ships back to the main ship." I spoke into the com as we shot off into space.

--Paladins POV, DON'T HATE ME AHHH--

"KEITH!" Allura telled as she ran over to him after what happened, completely forgetting that he just shot Hunk and he was also bleeding out.

"HUNK! Nonononono! Stay with us buddy please!" Pidge pleaded as she collapsed onto her knees next to him, holding him closer.

"Allura you have to chose who to save, we can't be down two paladins," Shiro spoke in a shaky voice trying to sound calm.

Hunk opened his eyes weakly as he looked up at them. He coughed a few times before looking al Allura "Save Keit-" cough, cough "He's more important to the team." he said weakly as Pidge looked at him with wide eyes choking on her sobs.

"n-no! Hunk p-please, you're gonna make it," she then looked at Shiro "WHAT ARE YOU DOING STANDING AROUND?! YOU'RE SUPPOSED TO BE OUR LEADER! GO GET YOUR LION WORKING SO YOU CAN TAKE HUNK TO A POD!" She yelled with guilt in her tone as Shiro just nodded running to his lion

"y-you're going to be okay," she spoke to Hunk her voice shaky and she forced herself not to stutter.

She leaned down and placed a small kiss on his forehead as Hunk gave her a weak smile "I-I love you Hunk...I-I can't lose you...I just can't.." she sobbed as she gripped onto his under suit holding him as close as possible.

she soon felt a hand on her cheek a warm sensation filling her cheek as she looked at Hunk, whom the hand belonged to.

"D-Don't cry Pidge," he said as she started putting presure on his wound to stop the blood.

he then took off his little ribbon he kept around his head giving it to her "t-take it, s-o I'll always b-be with you" he gave her a weak smile rubbing away her tears with his thumb.

"st-tay strong for me, s-save the universe," he leant up a bit returning her kiss on the forehead with a kiss on her lips.

Pidge deepened the kiss as she held him close.

The kiss went on for a few seconds before Hunk pulled away looking at Pidge as her eyes were sore and red tears staining her cheeks.

"I love you Katie."

he then went limp his hand falling from her cheek onto the surface on the balmera.

Allura was too busy healing Keiths wounds to even notice or care that Hunk just died.

Pidge watched in horror as his eyes rolled back as he went limp "nononononono!" she yelled pulling him as close as close could be "Hunk- pl-please yo-you're ok-ay, this is j-ust a dream" she chanted as she started rocking herself back and forth as she held Hunk choking on her sobs.

Shiro was still in his lion as he saw and heard what happened...Hunk is gone.

--Timeskip and POV change to after Lance becomes a general--

--Lance POV--

I smiled as Lotor escorted me to my new room where my armor was. When we walked in Lotor shut and Locked the door behind us

"Ummm Lotor...what're you doing..?" I asked a bit anxious as he pinned me to a wall

"Blue~ you have no idea how long I've wanted to do this to you~" he said in his seductive little voice a violet red blush spreading across my cheeks

before I could respond he started sucking and biting my neck. "a-Ah- Loto-or~" I moaned as he continued to do so.

He trailed one of his hands down to my ass squeezing it making a squeak escape my lips. Lotor smirked at that lifting me up so my legs were wrapped around his waist and arms around his neck as he hungrily kissed me.

At first it shocked me, because he went from sucking and biting to kissing. But I liked it.

I kissed back as Lotor deepened the kiss his tongue exploring my mouth. The warm sensation it gave me made me melt into the kiss groaning.

he then took me over to the bed pinning me down, moving his hands that were under my ass to my back and my hair.

--Timeskipbto the next morning--

I woke up my thys aching, I rolled over groaning as I remembered what happened last night, a blush making it's way onto my cheeks.

Seeing a note on my desk I stood up the cold air hitting my naked body.

I picked the letter up reading it.

My Dearest, Blue.

Good morning, you weren't awake when I woke up and I had some stuff to attend to so I had to go.

I hope you had a nice sleep.

Last night was amazing, you looked so hot, I didn't know you were that good in bed ;)

And I didn't know you had so many scars on your arms. and what was that giant one on your back from? And the others on your chest and such. You don't have to tell me if you're not comfortable with it, just curious~

Anyways, I must go. Breakfast is in the main hall, Once you've eaten get suited up and meet me in the control room.

By the time I finished reading the blush had gotten darker.

I quickly chucked some random clothing on before making my way down to the main hall where breakfast was.

I only ate a bit, not too hungry (after eating Lotors 🍆 I'll go home.)

when I was finished I went back to my room putting on my armor. Once I was changed I made my way to the control room where Lotor, Ezor, Zethrid, Acxa and Narti(Natri? not sure lmn) were.

"Ah Blue! You're just in time." Lotor invited me to stand next to him with a wave of his hand.

I nodded and went to stand next to him as he smiled at me before continuing.

"So, we have found out one of our planets have gone rouge and I think you know the rest." He smiled as everyone nodded knowingly

Ezor just couldn't help it and jumped up at bit as she said the plan "Basically voltron is there...well the green, red and black lion are there with the paladins." she stated before looking at Lotor and seeing no sign of him wanting her to stop she continued

"and basically we're going to swoop down kick some butt and take the planet back!" this time Zethrid said it with her as they looked at eachother with wide smiles.

"Alright, Alright, I think we all get the plan." Lotor chuckled at the couple (Yes, Ezor and Zethrid are canon here les go lesbians les go) before looking at me "Do you think you're able to pilot the blue lion?"

I nodded determination plastered into my expression "Alright!" he said clapping his hands "You know what to do!"

we all nodded as we ran our separate ways.

Ezor to pilot a fighter jet thingy.

Zethrid the ion canon.

Acxa to the control panels with Narti and Lotor.

And me to Blues hangar.

This is the fall of Voltron. For good.
