// Keiths POV//

wtf did i just see. i knew it was lance by the smile. i start to walk out of the water and look at the heart in my hand. i continue to walk when i bump into something. i look up to see shiro.
3rd person
"Keith what are you doing here,  your not off work till 5 right? " shiro asked with a confused face.

" um about that l,  I got fired bc I kept spacing out abo-" Keith couldn't finish his sentence and sobed into his hands. Shiro stepped forward and hugged the small boy in his arms.  Keith wrenched himself out of shiros arms and fell to his knees in the water.  " He was here,  j-just here and he gave me this" Keith shoved the small heart into the elders face.

Shiro took a good look at the heart and back at Keith." He gave that to you a long time ago now.  He's not here.  Let's get you home,  you need it rest. " shiro said picking Keith up off the ground and into his arms.

Lance could hear the boys crys from the beach yelling at him to return but lance kept swimming. When the yelling stopped he waited not turning around just waited. After about a minute he heard crying once more and then it got distant before it was gone.  Keith was gone.

// 3 years pasted//

As the king was swimming to the cave he stayed in the bumped into someone.  Lance grabbed his spear and pointed it at the person as he has never seen someone like him before.  She grabbed the spear and yanked lance forward and pressed he lips to his.  When she swam back lance gave her the ' why-tf-would-you-do-that' look.  She grabbed him and dragged him to the surface. The boy eyed boy started to panic as he knows he can breath above water.  he gulped in a mouth full of water as the breached the surface.  He coulded hold his breath no longer so he let the water go and choked In a breath of air.

Lance looked around as he took another deep breath of air. He was released and dunked back into the water.  He looked at the woman and smiled,  he swam forward and gave her a him ad a kiss on the head as he thanked her and swam to the beach.

He was still in the swim trunks he was in the day he "died" but his hair was soft as was his skin.  As he walked out the water his ears returned to normal, and his feet and hands weren't webbed anymore.

Some people we at the beach at the time so when he came out of the water he got some scared looks since they didn't see him go into the water. He looked at them and smiled knowing his teeth normal again.  He was walking down the street when someone called  his name.

He turned to see Keith running to him with tears in his eyes

I walked out of me and shiros house to go to the store. ( him and shiro live together bc they brothers nothing more)  I had the heart made into a necklace so I could keep lance close to my heart. 

I had just turned the corner when I seen a tall l,  sunkissed boy with brown hair walking down the street.  "Lance? " I called out.  The boy turned to face me and I seen it.  Lance was back!

I sprinted down the street with tears streaming down my face.  I tackled lance into a hug as we both fell.

Around around us smiled as we were united once more.  Lance then took my head and lifted it so he could look me in the eyes and kiss me.

I quickly melted into the kiss.  He pulled away and buried his face in the crook of my neck."I love you"
