I know what it's like to not especially like yourself
I'm here to give you tips to help u love u
1) Understand that you are unique
You are the only you on this earth, and even though you're part of a fandom or an aesthetic group (aka u share common traits and interests with other people), you are original in ur own way
2) Take selfies
Whenever you feel good, whenever you feel bad, whenever you feel artsy, take pics of yourself okay
I find that snapchat is the best place to spew out selfies and have them disappear 24 hours later, and if you end up really liking one, you can always keep it!
Don't let other people make fun of you for your style of selfie; I used to really poke fun at my friend Stevie because she always puts her arm in front of her face when she takes pics and I didn't quite realize how crappy that made her feel okay so don't do that
Also I take artsy selfies where I purposefully make myself look tired and I always look off camera bc that's fun for me

3) Accept the compliments you receive
Someone took the time to point out something they find beautiful about you, which is really special. Unless the compliment is given in a disrespectful way (i.e. catcalling), really think about accepting it.
4) Take care of your skin
Wash your face, use astringent, and moisturize. I cannot stress this enough. When you put effort into taking care of yourself, you start to adore yourself and you even start looking forward to your next face washing extravaganza
5) Wear tank tops
I was only comfortable with myself enough to begin wearing them a few weeks ago, and that's thanks to my strict mormon upbringing (they kinda teach girls to be ashamed of their bodies, though not blatantly, and we're told to not wear tight clothing and we can't show our shoulders)
The point is, if you're still not comfortable with tank tops, take it one step at a time
6) Masturbate
I'm being serious
Get in touch with your body (literally) and undertand that you are safe and comfortable when no one is around but you
Also masturbation is not for everyone and it's okay to not want to do it, you do you
7) Try not to criticize yourself too much
This is easier said than done, but criticizing urself just for the sake of criticising is absolutely pointless
It gets you nowhere and it gets you nothing
This doesn't mean STOP CRITICIZING YOURSELF ALTOGETHER because everyone has those moments
I'm saying try to limit your critiques and try not to dwell upon them
I have bad teeth, but so does tyler joseph, and that doesn't hinder either of us from being amazing people and creating amazing things
8) Play pretend
Aka fake it till u make it
Pretend you are Beyonce
Walk like thunder, hold your head up high, stand up straight, and smile at people
You are powerful and you deserve the sunshine on your skin
9) Laugh at yourself
Did dan howell quit youtube because he fell off his chair in his live show? psh no he didn't
10) Stop believing the anxious little voice in the back of your head
Guess what
That voice is only a miniscule fraction of what you are that it barely exists
In fact, it doesn't exist at all
