Something very nice happened to me a few moments ago 

It filled me with a warm happiness I had never felt before 

And I have felt lots of things 

But it made me so

so

happy

So happy, in fact, that I shed a tear 

and dried it with my sleeve

And as many times as I have cried in my lifetime 

Yet another new realization came to me 

As I stared at the tear on my sleeve, 

I witnessed the evidence of my emotion

We feel 

But we do not see 

We do not see with our eyes what our bodies are feeling 

But in that moment, 

In that small, fading stain

I saw 

everything
