Alex's pov

     I start to let go of the other hand when the guy tackles me to the ground. 

     "Please don't do it" the guy said through tears. Now that he was closer I think I have seen him before. I hug him (which would be weird for me, but just go with it) and he hugged me back.

     "W-why'd you s-stop me?" I say through sobs.

      He didn't answer for a while, but at last he said "Don't worry about it Alex. Just don't do it again."

      Wait how did he know my name? I would ask him later. We went and found shelter and dried off. Then I realized who he was...James Madison! My best friend since diapers! (Heathers reference intended.) He had gone through everything with me. Including me losing my Mom and the hurricane. The thing was I thought he had died, but he didn't! If I was being honest I have had a crush on him since we were ten. He would never return my feelings, so when my mom died that's when I started self harm...eh it was worth it.

     "Alex? Earth to Alex! Are you listening?" James asked, waving his hand in front of my tear streaked face.

     "I am now" I manage a small laugh.

     "I was saying why did you do that?? Like I know, but I want details." he said.

      I explained everything. Even me liking him. 

      "I have liked you since that time you comforted me after my dad went AWOL, but I knew you never would like me back, so I started self harm and-" I was cut off by something. (CLIFFHANGER!)

John's pov

     Alex still wasn't picking up his phone and I started to gt worried. Lafayette,  Hercules, Burr, and myself had been waiting for Alex for about three hours after they had gotten back from 'the store' and I from 'the date'. Where was he?!
