John's pov

         I barge in the door "Alex?!" I half shout, half cry.

         "Laurens?" Alex's voice quivered.

        "What happened?" I say walking towards his bed.

          "Nothing" he lies

        "Alright" I say sarcastically, while kneeling by the bed. "Goodnight Alex" Said when he fell asleep. I wanted to wake him up just so I could hear his voice.

        In the morning when I woke up Alex was writing something down. "What are you writing" I ask walking up to him.

       "Nothing" he said quickly while shutting the notebook. We argued a bit for a while while I was trying to make him give it to me, but after a while I just gave up. We got ready to go to brunch with Hercules, Lafayette, and Aaron Burr. We get in the car and I beg Alex to let me see his notebook which he always kept with him apparently, but his answer is always the same, No. Then I had an idea. I looked at my phone  to make it look like I got a text. 

    "Hey I just got a text from Laff saying they are lost. Can you go and tell Burr that we are here. He nods and heads inside.  I run to the car and start searching for the book. "Found it" I say under my breath. I get out of the car and was about to open the book when I saw Burr talking to Alex and Alex trying to hide his blush. I had a sudden urge of grief. Was I jealous? My thoughts were interrupted by three girl talking. I turned around to see my best friend Peggy and two other girls I didn't know. "Hi" I say, trying to be polite.

   "Hi" they say in unison.

   "My name is John"

  "Angelica"

  "Eliza"

   "And Peggy" they introduce themselves.

   "Angelica remind me what we're looking for" the one named Eliza sang.

   "Eliza i'm looking for something to eat" Angelica replied

     "Um Peggy you and you're sisters can join us at lunch if you want" I say.

  "It's okay we have to go, bye" she said while walking away. How did I not know Peggy had sisters she was my best friend since I could remember, which granted wasn't very long, but still.

Alex's pov

       I go inside to see one guy. I go up to him and say "pardon me, are you Aaron Burr, sir"

       "That depends who's asking" he says smiling

       "Oh well sure sir i'm Alexander Hamilton.

       "Oh yes John speaks very highly of you"

        I tried to hide my blushing, but it didn't work out well.

       I look up to see John talking and laughing with three girls. 

      "Wait is that the-" "Schuyler sisters" I cut him off with my voice full of anger, I had only heard of them, but from the looks of it John could easily fall for one of them.

     "You sound jealous, do you like Laurens?" Burr asked, bewildered.

    "Yes I do, just please don't tell him. Anyway what do I do about it?" I ask.

     "Talk less. Smile more"

John's pov

       "Hey is that my notebook" Alex asked when I walked in. Damn it I forgot I had it. I was going to give it to him when Burr whispered something is his ear. I growled under my breathe.  Then someone pulled me aside, Laff and Herc.

 "We heard what growl mon ami" 

"Yeah you like Alexander don't you" Herc agreed.

 "Yeah, what do I do about it?" I ask. They just shrugged. Great advice. When we finally sat down to eat we all got the same thing. Burr insisted on paying, so while he paid we started to head towards the front. Then it started to rain.

  " I'm going to use the bathroom" Alex said in a jumble.

  "Okay hu-" I was cut off by a flash of lightning and Alex's whimper. He ran towards the bathroom.

   "I guess he really had to go" Herc said.

   "No, I think it is more than that." I say running after Alex.
