James' pov

     I was happy for Alexander, but on the inside I wanted him as more than a friend. Instead of going back to campus like the others I went back to the clearing that Alex took me too.  I looked up at the stars and drifted off to sleep....

FLASHBACK~

    He started to let go of the other hand, but I tackled him the ground.

"Please don't do it" I said with tears tears.

     Then Alexander, my Alexander hugged me. I hugged him back.

     "W-why'd you s-stop me?" He asked sobbing.

     How was I supposed to say that I was James Madison his old best friend who thought Alex had died in the hurricane? I ended up saying, "Don't worry about it Alex. Just don't do it again."

       We went to seek shelter and once we found some we dried off. I looked at him and saw the recognition in his eyes. " JAMES!" he gasped. I started to smile, but I needed answers.

     "So Alex why did you try to jump? And what has been going on in your life?" I ask, then I see that he zoned out.

"Alex? Earth to Alex! Are you listening?" I asked, waving my hand in front of his face, which I just realized had tears on it.

"I am now" he said with a chuckle.

"I was saying why did you do that?? Like I know, but I want details." I said.

He explained everything including him liking me, which I had liked him since we had first met.

"I have liked you since that time you comforted me after my dad went AWOL, but I knew you never would like me back, so I started self harm and-" I cut him off by kissing him. He pulled back, surprised and eyes wide, but leaned in and closed the space between our bodies.

      Things escalated quickly, so we decided to take it back to the dorms. I drove us back, having to park. He said he'd meet me inside (I had already told him where the room was.") He went inside, a giggling mess from being so giddy.

     I went to my dorm realizing I forgot to give Alex the keys. "Sorry!" I said coming sown the hall. We walked inside and 

     He pushed me towards the bed and pushed me down "Now, where were we?"....

     Time skip (still in the flashback)~

     "Morning!" I said getting up the next morning. 

     "Morning" Alex responded.

     "About last night, I like you Jem, but there's this boy-" he started.

     "It's ok Alex. You were in pain and you were happy to see me you have to admit, so it was the heat of the moment."

     "Thanks James, this boy is amazing! His name is John Laurens.."

END OF FLASHBACK~ (still Jemmy's pov)

     I drifted back to reality and saw the sun was already rising. I got up and headed to campus. I bumped into someone, a girl. 

      "Oh I'm sorry" I said.

      "No, no it's fine," said the girl

     "My name is Elizabeth Schuyler,  but you can call me Eliza or 'Liza." she said.

     "I'm James. James Madison."

      "Well James what class do you have next?" 

     "Math"

     "Well shall we walk together, because so do I!"

     "Um, sure!"

And that was a start of a beautiful friendship lol. Haven't updated in a while. Not gonna lie....I am thinking of discontinuing this story ); I still LOVE Hamilton, but I don't ship Lams that much anymore. I mean I still like the ship, but I prefer Jamilton now. I don't know guys. I need to think about it. See you guys. Bye!
