And here they were. Finishing the main stream animes like SAO and Attack on Titan. Alex wasn't a big fan of them, but it made John happy, so whatever.

"Did you like them?"

"Honestly no, but I like seeing you happy, so sure."

"Rude."

"I love you too babe."

Finally after a week of going anime through anime, they finally found one Alex liked. An oldie but a goodie, One Piece. (I love this anime I'm sorry. It's also the only anime I really remember so.) 

"His poor dad!"

"He's fine Alex, it was just his arm."

"But still-"

"Just watch."

"Fine."

Everyday after work Alex came home to find John on the couch waiting for him. And everyday Alex walked over there and sat down with John and watch anime. After almost a month or two of watching One Piece they finally caught up. Alex liked the new pirate crew, John not so much. He thought Brooke was annoying and Nami was too controlling, Alex arguing that that's what made it funny. 

"Hey Alex,"

"Yep."

"Are you even listening?" 

"Yep."

"You're gay."

"Yep."

"Ha."

"Yes ha ha ha, very mature of you Laurens. Now tell me what you were going to say."

"Wow okay pushy, I was going to say anime con is at Boston this year, you wanna see if we can go?"

"Yep."

"Great. Lets use your money to get the tickets."

"You imbecile I was listening to you. I'm not saying yes to that. You use your money to buy your ticket and I'll use your money to buy mine. Okay?"

"Deal! Wait-"

"No takebacks."

"You scumbag."

"Only the best."

Now one day away from Anime con, Alex was flipping out. Saying his cosplay wasn't good enough. They cosplayed as dragon maids because they thought it would be funny at the time, right now it wasn't.

"Dude we're practically memes, you'll be fine."

"Fine. Who says we're memes?"

"I do."

"What do the outfits look like."

"Oh you'll see hun."

"I don't really want to now."

"Too bad you don't have a choice. These were expensive."

"Fine. If you made it gay I'll scream."

"Dude we're already ga-"

"No."

"Fine."

At the anime con, there was tons of people already in line to get in. The couple huffed as they got their spot in line, waiting to get in. They didn't sign up for meeting anyone, they just kind of wanted to walk around and meet people who liked the same stuff. Finally after an hour of waiting in the hot sun they were in. Alex huffed and looked down at his dress. It was funny of course, people kept wanting photos too, but Alex wasn't a big fan of all the attention, yet John was exactly the opposite, loving everything going on and all the photos.

"Alex! Someone wants a photo!"

He kept his mind to himself after seeing a young girl was the one who wanted the photo. He smiled slightly and walked over to John, as they bent down and waited for the girl to come over. She sprinted over and gave the two a big hug, Alex's face becoming red and he looked at John, who looked like he was having the time of his life. They quickly pulled away and took the photo, as they got up the mother walked up and gave them a five dollar bill, saying a quick thanks and walking away. John turned to Alex and smiled, holding out the bill to him. 

"You need it more than I do."

"Is that supposed to be offensive?"

"A little bit."

"Fine. You weeb."

"When did you learn that one?"

"A long time ago."

"Well, you're also dressed up, so you're a weeb as well."

"Tóuche my friend. Tóuche."

"Friend?"

"Oops. Boyfriend."

The rest of the day was them walking around, wasting all their money on anime merchandise. Though it was a little annoying at first, the photos died down as the day went on, and soon the day was over and everyone flooded out. 

"Thanks for taking me John. It was really fun."

"No problem Alex! I'm happy you had fun! Would you like to do more stuff like this?"

"Cosplaying isn't my thing I learned today, but the con was fun, so sure."

"Okay. Well lets go home and hang out."

"Okay!"
