[16] Pot Of Gold AU

Hi. I'm alive. Lol.
I actually had this idea because of a oneshot I read by they FandomsUnited_Always posted a LAMP cuddle fic a while ago, and thus prompted an idea for me to write. Finally.

I did go through and try to fix up an errors I made, though I may have missed some, so feel free to correct me and comment :)

T.W. Argument, Accusing Someone of Stealing Something, Anxiety.

Moving in with other people was not what Virgil had in mind when he went off to college, much less when those people were in a relationship and he had to deal with their date nights taking over the entire living area of their shared house. But, the rent was cheap and he barely made enough money at the crappy part time job he worked, so he really couldn't complain. At least he didn't have to live at home with his parents complaining about everything he did every two minutes.

The other good thing about his roommates was that they were all gay, and completely understood when he came home from work in an evening all flustered because he'd screwed up in front of another cute customer. He was quick to bond with Roman over their lack of tact when it came to cute guys. They would both just somehow shut down and forget how to form a single sentence. Though, lately, Virgil seemed to be losing his ability to just talk to Roman in general.

Patton was easy to bond with, mainly because he wouldn't leave Virgil alone, so he had to learn to talk to Patton. It started with talking about cats, but it soon evolved into Virgil complaining about his job and how it was unfair that there were so many cute guys that came in to buy coffee, and how Virgil just wanted a boyfriend. Patton had, on more than one occasion, tried to set Virgil up with other people, but it never worked. Mainly because Virgil had developed a crush on Roman and Patton within a month of moving in.

Then there was Logan. The two bonded over space and random disturbing facts, and the fact that they were both major disaster gays just seemed to help them bond even more. Though, the closer Virgil got to Logan, the more he seemed to develop a crush on them, which didn't help when Virgil needed help with any of his assignments.

Virgil didn't mind his crushes on his roommates, they weren't really inconvenient unless he had to sit and maintain eye contact with them, or if he had to sit and watch a movie with them, when the three of them were cuddling. He just wished he could climb into their cuddle pile and just enjoy the feeling of finally being wanted. But he knew it wouldn't happen, as they already had established their little relationship and they wouldn't want him to intrude.

Virgil groaned and rested his head on his desk. He was trying to work on a creative writing piece, but his ideas just weren't flowing. He knew he could go and ask Roman for help, but Roman had been stressed about an upcoming production he had to put on. So, Virgil wasn't really sure he wanted to bother Roman with something else.

He pulled his hoodie tighter around him and left his room, not wanting to stare at a blank document on his screen. He went into the kitchen and poured himself another cup of coffee. It wouldn't help him sleep, but maybe it would keep him up long enough that his brain would stop thinking so anxiously and start thinking creatively.

"It's rather late for another cup of coffee, Virgil." Logan spoke up as they walked into the kitchen to wash their cup. "Is something troubling you?"

Virgil took a sip of his coffee and winced as he burned his tongue slightly. "I have a stupid assignment due tomorrow and I haven't even started it. It's something I would normally be able to do, but my brain isn't working properly, and I think Roman could help, but then I get stressed and anxious over asking him because I know he has this huge review performance coming up, and I don't want to add to his stress."

Roman leaned against the doorway to the kitchen and pulled his partner close to him. "Virge, we're friends. I have another month before any of my review stuff gets serious and I have to pay full attention to it, I wouldn't have minded helping you." He pressed a kiss to the side of Logan's head.

Virgil smiled weakly and refused to look up from his coffee. "Yeah... Right. I'll remember that or whatever..." Virgil started to walk out of the kitchen, almost tripping over his own feet as Patton walked into the room and startling him.

He sighed and glanced at Patton, smiling weakly and trying to ignore the image that popped into his head of Patton holding him the way Roman was holding Logan.

"Are you coming to watch the movie with us, Virgey?" Patton grinned and grabbed the bag of marshmallows out of the pantry.

"Oh... Uh, no. Thanks. Work... College stuff. You know?" He smiled weakly and glanced at Roman and Logan.

"Come on. You need a break." Roman prompted and Virgil sighed.

It wasn't that he didn't want to, but every movie night, they all got cuddly, and Virgil felt left out. And then, he started to imagine himself cuddling with them, or as he fell asleep, he would end up leaning into whoever was closest to him, and he definitely didn't want to make a fool of himself.

"Please, Virgey. You've been working a lot lately, we miss you watching movies with us!" Patton pouted and gave Virgil his puppy dog eyes.

"I suppose it wouldn't hurt..." Virgil sighed and looked at Patton, smiling weakly.

Patton cheered and ran over to the sofa, pulling another blanket down off the back and putting it down for Virgil to use.

Virgil finished his coffee and followed Patton over to the sofa. He took the blanket with a small thank you and curled up. He hoped the blanket would be enough for him to cuddle, so he didn't end up curling up against Patton, who happened to be next to him.

It didn't take Patton long to crash from his sugar high. He ended up curled up against Logan, who was curled up against Roman, who was using the back of the sofa and a bunch of pillows to support him.

Virgil smiled to himself and after the third movie ended, he felt himself start to fall asleep. He lay down, unintentionally resting his head in Patton's lap, and fell asleep promptly.

The following morning Virgil woke with a start, looking around the room. His eyes landed on Logan, who was sitting up with a cup of coffee in their hands.

"Good morning, Virgil. I trust you slept well." They smiled and watched Virgil carefully.

Virgil looked at Patton and flushed deeply. He fell asleep on one of his three crushes. "Oh, I uh... Yeah. Slept... Well..." He looked at Logan and smiled weakly. "Sorry."

"For what? You fell asleep, which I presume wouldn't have happened as promptly should you have remained in your own room."

Virgil shrugged. "Yeah, I guess. Aren't you upset that I ended up sleeping on Patton?"

"Why would I be? You can't exactly control where you fall asleep sometimes. Plus, I don't see it as him cheating on us, or anything. Though I suppose Roman would be the better judge of that..."

Virgil locked eyes with Logan and flushed deeply. "Oh..." He looked down and nodded. "Right, yeah. Okay. I should go get ready... I have a shift in a bit and I don't want to..."

"Virgil, it is okay. You don't have to avoid us now because of this. I assure you no one will be mad with you for falling asleep on Patton. However, if you would feel better that he did not know, I will be sure not to tell him."

"Tell who, what?" Patton sat up and yawned, pushing his glasses onto his head.

"No one, nothing." Virgil stood up and tripped over the blanket that had tangled around his legs. He stumbled and cursed to himself, managing to untangle the blanket. "See you later. I have to go." Virgil ran up the stairs and locked himself in his room.

He slid to the floor and reprimanded himself for everything that transpired over the last twelve hours. Not only did he end up imagining himself cuddling with Roman and Patton within five minutes of one another, he ended up making a fool of himself by tripping over in front of Patton twice, falling asleep on Patton, and then proceeding to dream about his three roommates, to the point where he ended up kissing them all in his dream. Not to mention him simply looking at Logan and falling into a blushing mess because of how attractive Logan was.

He tangled a hand in his hair and sighed softly. If he had a boyfriend, none of this would be happening and he wouldn't have to be at home all the time.

He forced himself to get up and start getting ready for his shift at work, where, hopefully, some other cute guy would come in and at least distract him from his disaster of a home life.

-

"Was Virgil acting rather odd, to you?" Logan looked at Patton and smiled fondly. They would be lying if they said they hadn't grown rather fond of their roommate.

"I wasn't really awake too much, Logy. But it was kinda odd that he seemed so defensive." Patton leaned over and kissed Logan's cheek softly.

"That's what I had thought too..." Logan sighed softly and looked at Patton. "I'm sure it's just stress from his project he was telling me about last night."

Patton smiled softly and nodded. "He's probably fine. But it's adorable that you care so much, Logy."

"I cannot tell you how much I hate that nickname, Patton."

"Okay... And?" Patton laughed and went to the kitchen to make a start on breakfast. "I think it's cute and I like calling you Logy."

"Whatever you say, Patton." They smiled fondly.

-

Vigil walked into the house and dropped his keys into the dish by the front door. He forced himself over to the sofa, before flopping face down onto the cushions and screaming into them.

Roman came downstairs and frowned. "Virgil?"

"Where's Patton and Logan?" Virgil sat up and looked at Roman tiredly.

"Patton went to work about an hour ago and Logan's on a call right now. What's up?" He frowned and sat next to Virgil.

"You know that guy I told you about last week, who was really freaking cute and had that tattoo on his hand? Said he only just moved here? Well he came back in today and asked me for my number. Wouldn't have been an issue except I left my phone at home and I blanked on what my own phone number was. None of my coworkers have my number, or would even care to help me out anyway. So this guy, Janus, puts his name and number on a napkin and gives it to me. So I stick it in my pocket and forget about it until I go to wipe down the tables, and I pull out this napkin, use it, and then throw it away. So my dumbass just lost this cute guy's number and I feel like an idiot." Virgil groaned and leaned against Roman.

Roman wrapped his arm around Virgil and played with his hair. "He'll come back in, I'm sure."

"No! I told him I'd text him tonight, and I can't because I threw away the napkin. Why the hell does the universe hate me?"

"Maybe he will come in tomorrow and make sure you're okay, because he didn't hear from you?"

"What kind of romcom bullshit is that?" Virgil looked at him and sighed softly. "Also, please keep doing that, it feels really good..."

Roman laughed fondly and continued to play with Virgil's hair. He turned the TV on and leaned back, pulling Virgil back with him.

Virgil rested his head on Roman's chest and flushed softly at how intimate it all felt. He felt his eyes droop, and it wasn't long before he fell asleep cuddled up to one of his crushes again.

-

Virgil woke up to the sound of someone coming into the front door, and he noticed the hand in his hair had stilled once they realised he had woken up.

"Feel better now, Virge?" Roman looked at him and smiled fondly.

Virgil flushed and sat up fully, looking over towards the front door. "Yeah, thanks Roman..."

"Good evening, my love." Patton walked over to Roman and kissed him softly. "And good evening to you too, Virgey." Patton ruffled his hair and smiled fondly. "You look tired."

Virgil yawned and nodded, moving away from Roman slightly. "Long and stressful day."

"Well, we're having pizza for dinner, and ice cream for dessert!"

Virgil nodded and smiled softly, going to the kitchen to make himself a cup of coffee. He leaned against the counter and yawned as he waited for his coffee to brew.

"Do you need to talk about it, Virgey?" Patton hugged him and smiled fondly.

"No, Roman helped earlier and let me sleep on him for a while, but thank you, Pat." Virgil smiled and hugged him tightly. "How was your shift?"

"Long. But I can't complain, it could be worse." Patton smiled and moved to put the pizzas in the oven.

Before long, Logan came downstairs and kissed Patton's cheek softly. "Good evening, Patton."

"Hey, Logy. How was your day?" Patton smiled fondly.

"I was on with an insufferable client, but I suppose it was alright."

Patton smiled and kissed them softly. "I bought Pizza home for dinner, I hope that's okay."

"It's perfect, Patton, thank you." Logan smiled and turned to Virgil. "I came down earlier and you were cuddling with Roman, is everything alright?"

"Customer drama..." Virgil smiled weakly and shrugged. "I hadn't meant to fall asleep on him... I wouldn't consider it cuddling though."

Roman walked into the kitchen and smiled fondly. "If it was Patton or Logan asleep on me, you would consider it cuddling."

"I guess so..." Virgil sighed. "It wasn't supposed to happen anyway. It was a mistake. I just had a crap day with most customers, and the one customer who wasn't crap, I let down. So..."

Roman raised his hands in surrender and hugged Logan from behind.

Virgil sighed and poured himself a cup of coffee, and went to sit on the sofa, feeling uncomfortable and left out when he was in the kitchen.

-

Virgil sat on the counter with a cup of hot chocolate in his hands and sighed softly. He felt so strongly for the three people he lived with, it was impossible for him to focus on anything else. And then there was Janus, the customer he really wanted to text, and at least make friends with. But every time he tried to do something, it felt like the universe had other plans and screwed him over.

"What're you doing up at three in the morning, Virgey?" Patton rubbed his eyes and poured himself a glass of water. "In your work clothes still..."

Virgil sighed softly. "I can't sleep. I managed to get my project done, my mind is whirling and I just needed to sit in silence somewhere other than my room."

"Come sit on the sofa with me, let's talk. Do you want a fresh cup?" Patton took Virgil's cup without waiting for an answer and started making two cups of hot chocolate. "What's going on?"

"I just have a lot of feelings towards you, Logan, and Roman. And then there's this really cute customer at my job and he gave me his number, so I guess he kind of likes me too, and I don't really know what to do, because I feel like I should just be feeling something for one person, but I feel weird towards four people, and it's confusing and stressful..."

Patton rested a hand on Virgil's thigh and kissed his temple softly. "It's okay to be confused. Did you ever find out how the three of us got together?"

"No... I didn't want to pry."

"We met in our first year of college. Roman and I were together initially, but we broke up because he fell for Logan, I mean, who wouldn't? They're amazing. But after a while, Roman came back to me and said we needed to talk. He said he hadn't gotten over the feelings he had for me, and as long as Logan was okay with it, he wanted to try being with us both. Long story short, we talked it through and we both agreed. After a while, I fell for them, and they felt romantically for me too. So we just kind of started dating, and that was that. People give us weird looks, but that's fine. We don't owe anyone anything, and if they're not okay with it, they don't have to be in our lives."

Virgil smiled fondly and looked at him. "I don't know why it surprises me that it came about that way, honestly. I would have thought you would have been with Logan and Roman first..."

Patton smiled and finished the two cups, handing one to Virgil. "I suppose, but Roman has always been more secure in who he is, who he likes, and what he wants, so he was able to deal with it all better than I ever would have been able to. Honestly, I was just glad he said he still had feelings for me and wanted to be back with me. I didn't handle our breakup too well..." He laughed awkwardly and went into the living room.

Virgil followed him and sat on the sofa. "I know how much you love them both now, I'm sure you loved him a lot back then too..."

"I really did." Patton smiled and looked at Virgil fondly. "He was my first boyfriend, and he made everything feel so right. I'd been with girls before, but with him? I really can't explain it."

"The first guy I was with was in high school. He was this really cute, nerdy, shy kind of guy. He knew what would help me feel better, how to make me smile, and oh my god when he kissed me... I felt like nothing would ever beat that. But we broke up because of college, and I guess life moves on. We chatted occasionally, but last I saw, he has a new boyfriend."

Patton smiled fondly and took Virgil's hand. "And when he held your hand, you felt safe, even though it was something so small?"

Virgil flushed and looked at their hands. "Yeah, something like that," he managed out, almost breathless.

"It's a wonderful feeling... Knowing the people you're with will protect you and make sure you're loved no matter what."

"I bet it's nice... Having more than one partner..."

"It is. Are you monogamous?"

"I don't really know. I've only been with one person before, so I don't know exactly. I wouldn't be opposed to being with multiple, I know that much."

"Have you ever wanted to?"

"I guess, in a way. I mean, like I said before, I have a lot of feelings towards you three and I can't exactly figure out whether they're good or bad."

Patton squeezed his hand softly. "What kind of feelings?"

"Well, I guess towards you, you make me feel safe and happy when I feel sad or stressed. You want to make sure I eat and look after myself, especially when I don't have a shift, and I'm in my room all day. But I also want to cuddle with you, and have you look after me when I had a nightmare, or a bad night's sleep... I sound so stupid right now..."

"No, you don't." Patton smiled fondly and set his hot chocolate down. "Keep going, if you have anymore to add."

Virgil looked at him and flushed lightly. "I want to kiss you, especially when you look at me like that..."

"Like what?" Patton laughed fondly, and scanned his face.

"Like I'm important and there's nothing else you want in the world other than to see me happy..."

"You are important, Virgil. And I do want to see you happy."

"There's just this fondness behind the way you look at me too, it's sickeningly sweet, but in all the best ways..." He looked down at their hands.

Patton smiled fondly and picked up his hot chocolate again, taking a sip from it.

"And I want you to hold my hand all the time, because this feels really nice and I don't want it to ever stop. I want to be able to fall asleep in your lap and have you play with my hair... I have a lot of feelings towards you and they're all good, and they make me feel soft and vulnerable and that scares me because I don't want to lose you as a friend, I don't want to ruin this if you don't feel the same way..." Virgil finished his hot chocolate quickly, to stop himself from saying anything else.

"And if I do feel the same way?"

"Then, oh my god, just ruin it already..." He whispered, looking at Patton, fear dancing in his eyes.

Patton set his half empty cup down and cupped Virgil's cheek. "If I wasn't with them, just know I would have kissed you tonight. But my partners come first, Virgil, and if they don't want me with anyone else, then I can't. As amazing as it would be to be with you too..."

Virgil flushed and pulled his hand away from Patton's and moved away from him entirely. "Yeah, no. I know... I shouldn't have said anything. I'm sorry..." He stood up and grabbed his cup.

"Virgil, sit down, please..." Patton frowned and watched him carefully.

Virgil went and washed his cup, his hands shaking. "I can't, Patton. I'm going to bed. Goodnight..." He ran upstairs and into his room, taking slow, shaky breaths. He bit the inside of his cheek, trying to fight every instinct to just leave the house completely. If they didn't want Patton with him, things would be awkward, and he would have just confessed everything to Patton for nothing.

He clutched his shirt over his chest and rested his head between his knees. He cursed under his breath and sat like that until his back hurt and he had to go to bed.

-

Patton made breakfast for everyone the following morning, his movements slower than normal after getting no sleep whatsoever. He yawned as he served the last plate of food.

"Good morning, sunshine." Roman walked into the kitchen and kissed his cheek softly. "How are you?"

"I'm alright, Ro. How did you sleep?" Patton smiled tiredly and leaned against him.

Roman frowned and held Patton tightly. "I slept rather well, considering the bed was missing a boyfriend."

Patton looked at him. "I was in bed?"

"Not all night you weren't, sunshine. What happened?"

"Virgey was up at three this morning, and we got talking. I think he's going to avoid me..."

"Sunshine..." Roman picked him up and set him on the counter away from the food. "What happened?"

Patton hugged him tightly and teared up. "He likes me, Ro. And I like him too..."

"We all like him, that's why he lives here, Patty."

"No!" Patton looked at him and wiped his cheeks. "I like him a lot and I really want to make him feel special and loved..."

"And he has feelings for you too..." Roman nodded and kissed Patton's cheek softly. "It's okay, Patty. If you want to be with him, then I won't be upset. You should talk to Logan too though, you know how they get sometimes."

"I know. I told him last night if I wasn't with you two I would have kissed him..."

Roman smiled and kissed Patton softly. "You're so perfect, Patton. I'm in your corner, okay? I'll be with you when you talk to Logan."

Patton smiled and nodded. "Thank you, Ro. I love you."

"I love you too, Sunshine."

Patton slid off the counter and poured Roman some orange juice, and handed him a plate of food.

As Logan walked in, Patton poured a cup of coffee and set it on the table with another plate of food, before getting his own orange juice and plate of food. He sat down and looked at Virgil's empty seat, sighing softly.

"Will Virgil be joining us?" Logan frowned and looked at Patton.

"No, I don't think so..." He looked down and sighed softly.

"Ah. Is everything okay?"

Patton sighed and recounted everything from hours prior, barely able to look up from his lap, scared of Logan's reaction.

"I'm not entirely sure how naive you think I am, Patton. But it's relatively obvious that you hold feelings for him. I'm surprised it took this long to surface, honestly." Logan pushed their glasses up.

"You knew?" Patton looked at him shocked.

Logan took Patton's hand softly and smiled. "Of course I did, dear. I've known you for a fair few years, I remember how you acted when you liked me in the beginning. I'm not sure why you would ever think we wouldn't be okay with you seeing someone else. Especially if it's someone we already know and like. If he likes you too, you should be with him. We just want you happiest."

Roman smiled and rested a hand on Patton's thigh. "See, sunshine. It's okay."

Patton looked at Logan and grinned, kissing them softly. "I love you!" He looked at Roman and kissed him briefly, before running upstairs and knocking on Virgil's door.

Virgil sighed and dragged himself to the door. "I'm really not hungry, Patton, so please just don't bother..."

Patton knocked again, slightly harder and faster.

Virgil opened the door and sighed softly. "Patton, I mean it, I don't-"

Patton grinned and hugged Virgil tightly, catching him off guard and almost knocking him over. "I don't care right now." Patton looked at him, grinning.

Virgil frowned and looked at him. "Look, I don't care what's got you all hyped up, I got no sleep last night and I'm really not in the mood."

Patton cupped his cheek softly and brushed their noses together. "You will care, just stop being grumpy for two seconds and let me talk."

"Okay..." Virgil looked at him with wide eyes and flushed deeply.

"I spoke to Roman and Logan and they're completely okay with me being with you. So, as a formal apology for last night, I would like to take you out on a date, and potentially kiss you if you would be okay with that."

Virgil stared at Patton, trying to wrap his head around everything that Patton had said. "You... Date... Kiss?" Virgil mumbled and rested a hand atop the one of Patton's that was still on his cheek.

Patton giggled softly and brushed their noses together again. "Me. Date. Kiss." He nodded. "Date and kiss you."

Virgil nodded, unable to form anymore words. "Okay..."

"Okay?"

Virgil nodded.

"I can kiss you?"

"Please..." Virgil managed out, barely able to take his eyes off Patton and his infectious grin, and rosy cheeks. The way his eyes lit up as soon as he got permission from Virgil to kiss him, and how he seemed to hold so much joy and excitement it would have made anyone else explode.

Patton brushed their lips together, wanting Virgil to be comfortable.

Virgil gasped softly at the feeling of Patton's lips on his own, if only so lightly. He scanned Patton's face once more before closing his eyes and kissing Patton softly. His hands rested on Patton's waist, gripping his shirt softly.

Everything he could have ever imagined Patton's lips feeling like, was everything that was real. His lips were soft and fit perfectly against Virgil's. Virgil felt like he could lose himself when kissing Patton, and he would have been happy about it.

Patton's hand rested softly against his cheek, and Virgil felt sparks where Patton's thumb brushed over his cheekbone softly.

Patton pulled away slightly, and it took everything Virgil had in him to not chase after Patton's lips. He kept his eyes closed for a moment longer, not wanting the euphoria, and the possible dream, to end.

Patton laughed lightly and kissed the tip of Virgil's nose, sending even more electric sparks down into Virgil.

Virgil felt his heart jump slightly and he opened his eyes, meeting Patton's bright blue ones staring at him.

"You okay, Virgey?" Patton lightly kissed him again.

Virgil looked at him, feeling almost breathless. "You're going to have to stop doing that..."

Patton frowned. "What?"

Virgil shook his head. "I mean... Hang on... I'm gay..." He flushed deeply and looked at Patton fondly.

Patton cupped his cheek softly, worried about hurting him. "Virgey?"

"It was so soft..." Virgil leaned into his touch slightly. "You're so soft. You make me feel soft... And I'm really gay..." He bit his lip nervously.

Patton smiled softly. "Was it okay?"

"It was more than okay... I just... I never thought it would happen, so I'm kind of reeling right now..."

"Do you need to sit down?" Patton wrapped an arm around Virgil's waist, supporting him slightly.

"No... I'm okay. When you kissed me the second time and I said you had to stop, it wasn't because I wanted you to stop, it was because I was genuinely breathless and I couldn't breathe properly. I'm really gay, Patton, and it felt amazing and I'm just in shock, slightly..."

Patton smiled and kissed the tip of his nose again. "Well, I'm gay too. Do you want to go on the date with me later? Maybe this evening?"

Virgil kissed Patton again, holding him closer, not quite ready to let him go yet. He held onto Patton's shirt tightly, feeling Patton happily respond.

He whined softly as Patton pulled away. "I need an answer, Virgey. So I can let Roman and Logan know whether I'll be available to them tonight or not..."

Virgil nodded and smiled softly. "Date tonight sounds good... Let me know what you have in mind..."

Patton kissed him softly. "Okay. Do you have work this morning?"

Virgil nodded. "Just five hours..."

Patton smiled fondly. "Do you want to call out?"

"Are you off today?"

"I am."

Virgil nodded and looked at Patton fondly. "I want to call out..."

Patton laughed fondly and kissed him softly. "Go call out then, Virgey."

Virgil stumbled back into his room, still in shock of everything that happened, barely making it to his bed before his knees gave out. "Damn..." He mumbled and picked up his phone.

-

Patton smiled to himself and went back down to the kitchen, where Logan and Roman were finishing the cleanup from breakfast.

"So?" Roman prompted and poked Patton's side softly.

Patton laughed and leaned against Roman fondly. "He's adorable..."

Logan smiled and finished washing the last plate, before drying their hands and turning to face their boyfriends.

"We spoke for a few minutes and he was so adorably confused and he couldn't figure out how to speak properly. So I asked if he'd go on a date with me, and let me kiss him. And he got flustered and cute! Then we kissed and it was amazing, and he got all breathless and cute and gay..." Patton giggled and recounted. Virgil's face. "It took him a while to come back to his senses, but he's calling out from work today and we're having a day together."

Roman kissed his temple softly and smiled. "I'm happy for you, sunshine, really. I hope he treats you right."

Logan nodded and kissed Patton softly. "Try not to be too loud, I do have a conference today, and you know I can't have any distractions."

"Of course, Logy. Volume low on the TV, and only bringing you coffee and water and lunch."

Logan smiled and nodded. "Thank you, dear."

Roman smiled. "I want to hear everything tonight, sunshine."

Patton nodded and smiled softly. "You should join us later and we can all watch movies this evening!" He grinned.

"That sounds wonderful, dear. Have fun with Virgil today, and I'll see you later." Logan kissed him softly, before retreating to their office for the day.

Roman kissed Patton's cheek. "I have to go to work, so I'll see you later, lovebug."

Patton smiled. "Okay. See me before you go."

Roman nodded and went to their bedroom to get ready for work.

Virgil came downstairs and sat on the sofa. "So, plans?" He looked over to Patton, who walked over to him.

"Movie day just the two of us, then movie night with Roman and Logan?"

Virgil smiled and made grabby hands at Patton. "Sounds good."

Patton laughed fondly and sat next to Virgil, kissing his cheek softly.

Virgil wrapped his arms around Patton and held him close. "Kiss me again?"

Patton looked at him and cupped his cheek fondly. "You don't have to ask..." He murmured softly, brushing their lips together.

"I know, but I like when you kiss me..." Virgil flushed and scanned Patton's eyes.

Patton smiled and kissed him softly, tracing his cheekbone softly.

Virgil closed his eyes and let himself get lost in the feeling of Patton kissing him again. He wasn't sure he would ever get used to it. It felt beyond magical and he couldn't wrap his head around how perfect it all felt.

Patton pulled away softly. "You should pick the first movie," he whispered.

Virgil looked at him and smiled, nodding once. "Okay..." He grabbed the remote and turned on the TV, immediately going to the channel he knew showed The Black Cauldron.

As he pressed play, he leaned against Patton and smiled to himself. Maybe the universe didn't completely hate him after all.

-

A few weeks had passed since Virgil and Patton had gotten together, and the two had gone on multiple dates. Virgil's happiness had definitely shot up, but there was clear tension forming between Virgil, Roman, and Logan.

It wasn't that Roman and Logan were jealous of Virgil, they had no reason to be, but Patton seemed to be spending more time with Virgil, and they didn't exactly love it.

However, despite the fact that Patton was still getting ample time with them both, they had a small problem with Virgil. Not only were they upset Patton didn't spend the night with them every night, Logan had begun to develop feelings for Virgil, and Roman knew it.

Virgil hummed to himself and poured another cup of coffee. He'd been up for the past two nights, working his butt off on one of his final projects for his art class. The past two nights, Patton had been with Roman and Logan, enjoying spending time with them again.

Virgil looked up as Logan walked into the kitchen, smiling at them fondly. "Hi, Lo. Are you okay? You look stressed."

"I'm fine, Virgil. Roman's just upset again, that's all."

Virgil frowned and poured Logan a cup of coffee and offered it to them. "I can step back from Patton if it's causing issues for you... I don't want to be the reason you guys all fall apart, I know you all love each other a lot..."

"No, it's not your fault, Virgil, really. Roman's just stressed because of his big review and he doesn't want to lose everything. And he wants Patton to be there more than anything." They took the coffee from him. "Thank you."

Virgil sighed and looked down. "I just feel bad, I don't want to come between you, I mean, Patton was yours first, if it's an issue, I can just..." He shifted slightly.

"No. We won't ask you to do that, Virgil, that's not fair on you. I know how much you like him, and he really likes you too. It's okay. I promise."

Virgil looked at them and smiled weakly. "I just..."

"I know." Logan rubbed their forehead and leaned against the counter, taking a sip of the coffee. "Patton won't let it get to that. No matter what. He'll do everything he can to make sure it doesn't fall apart."

"Do you need to talk about it?" Virgil rested a hand on Logan's arm softly. "You seem really stressed and if I can help..."

Logan looked at him and smiled weakly. "It's okay, Virgil. You've been focused on college the past few days, I shouldn't be adding pressure to you."

"I appreciate you want to be nice, but I don't care. Patton's my boyfriend too, and if something affects you, it affects him, and I deserve a chance to help, or at least listen so I know what's going on."

Logan sighed and held onto his wrist softly, leading him into the living room and sitting on the sofa. "If you really want to know..."

Virgil sat next to them and held Logan's hand gently. "I do. I want to be able to help in any way I can, Lo."

Logan breathed in sharply and pulled their hand away. "Sorry, I can't..."

"Oh, I'm sorry!" Virgil held onto his coffee cup with both hands and looked at Logan, worried.

"No, it's not you. I'm just in a weird place and I can't handle too much touch. If I touch you it's one thing, but unless it's a brief interaction, I don't like it right now, I feel weird and I don't like it."

Virgil nodded and looked at them, scanning their face to make sure they were really okay. "Okay. I'm sorry. I'm all ears."

"When Patton and I first got together, Roman was easily jealous and he wanted to be a part of everything. I mean, everything, we did together. Dates, he was there. Movie night, he was there. He even came with us to meet my parents, even though it was exclusively for Patton to meet my parents. It got pretty awkward and annoying."

Virgil looked at them and smiled weakly.

"So when we finally sat down and talked to him about it, he got defensive and upset because we 'didn't want him anymore', even though we did, we just wanted time alone too. Then it turned into he didn't want to spend time with us at all, so it was just Patton and I for a while, which made it stressful, because we wanted to spend time with him, but he refused."

"Yikes..." Virgil frowned and looked at his coffee.

"Very." Logan took a sip from their cup and sighed. "So we had to talk to him again. Tell him we did still want him, and we loved him, etcetera. Finally he listened and realised he was a little bit too overbearing. Ever since we've managed to be pretty in sync with it all."

"Until I got with Patton?"

"Exactly. Roman loves Patton so much, I'm sure you know they were together before he was with me. But, he gets very protective of Patton over small things. Like when you made breakfast last week and it wasn't Patton's favourite."

"Because he had you make his favourite the day before. I wanted you and Roman to feel listened to, as well."

"I'm aware of that. But, Roman decided he was going to get mad at you for not making something Patton loved, even though he thoroughly enjoys the food Roman and I favour too. Anyway, Patton finally got through to him that you were just trying to be fair, and that he had also helped you make breakfast, so it wasn't a big deal. Roman finally backed off, until you went to work and didn't give him a goodbye kiss, or whatever it was."

"Patton was asleep..." Virgil sighed.

"So you understand what I'm saying. He's protective and doesn't want any harm to come to Patton at all. He takes minor things and blows them out of proportion because he wants to make sure Patton has the best of the best. But in doing so, he adds more stress to mine and Patton's lives because we have to calm him down and make him see it rationally."

"Oh... So if I stepped back..."

"Roman would accuse you of not loving Patton anymore and make it all a big deal."

"I don't love Patton..."

"You feel strongly for him though."

"Yeah, I do."

"Exactly. Roman would say you don't, is my point."

"Right. Sorry."

"It's okay. So Patton and I are working overtime trying to satiate him. And it's driving a wedge between us all because we don't want to put a strain on yours and Patton's relationship as it's so new, but we also just want him to stop."

Virgil finished his coffee and put his cup down, trying to figure it out. "How do you feel?"

"Stressed, tired... I don't understand it, Virgil. I really don't. I understand that Roman loves Patton, but why is he making it all so complicated? I just want things to go back to how they were. You make Patton so happy, so I don't want that to stop. I want my boyfriends to just be happy. But this is taking such an emotional toll on me and I don't understand why..."

"Can I please hug you?" Virgil frowned and watched Logan. "How much sleep have you been getting?"

Logan nodded and set their coffee down, leaning against Virgil. "A few hours a night."

Virgil wrapped his arms around them and played with their hair. "You need to get a better night's sleep. Do you want to take my bed for the night? I have to get ready for work in the afternoon as I'm closing shop, but you can get enough sleep, and I'll help Patton keep Roman away."

Logan looked at him and smiled fondly. "That would be wonderful, thank you."

Virgil met their gaze and smiled softly. "Anytime. And just so you know, I have no intention of taking Patton away from you or Roman, which I know is what's causing all of this with Roman. He just needs to be shown that he's still wanted by you both. Patton specifically. So having Patton to himself may do him some good."

Logan smiled and nodded, unable to take their eyes off Virgil. "You have pretty eyes, do you know that?"

Virgil flushed and looked away. "Come on, you need to go to bed. We can talk more after you've had some sleep."

Logan frowned. "Don't you like me?"

"What?" Virgil looked at them. "Of course I like you, I have for a while, but you're exhausted, and you have to talk to your boyfriends about everything first. Okay?"

"So if they say yes, you'll be my boyfriend?" Logan looked at him with wide eyes, seeming almost childish.

"If it's what you want after you've slept for a while, yes. I will." Virgil helped them stand up and went upstairs with them.

He opened the door and led Logan to bed. "Lie down, Lo."

Logan climbed into Virgil's bed and passed out almost instantly.

Virgil sighed and turned on the fan for them, before shutting the door and sliding to the floor next to the closed door.

If Logan truly meant what he said, Virgil was going to have a hard time focusing on anything else. Truth be told, Virgil wouldn't be able to forget what they'd said or how they'd looked, but he'd try to ignore it, because they probably didn't even know what they were saying.

-

Virgil drummed his fingers on the counter at work. Closing was the most boring shift as no one ever came in to buy coffee at nine pm. But, they had to stay open until nine, as it was policy.

Virgil pulled out his phone and texted Patton a photo of a puppy, trying to pass the time and distract himself from the flurry of butterflies he got every time his mind drifted to the conversation he and Logan had had the night before.

"Black coffee, hot chocolate, and a latte, please." A familiar voice spoke from the other side of the counter.

Virgil looked up and grinned at Patton, going to him and giving him a hug. "Thank you for showing up. I am so close to losing my mind."

Patton laughed fondly and kissed him lightly. "Anytime, Virgey. You know I'll always be here for you."

Virgil went and made the three drinks Patton ordered, and poured himself a cup of coffee, before joining them in one of the booths.

As he sat down, he made brief eye contact with Logan, before looking away instantly. They probably didn't even remember when they said, but Virgil didn't want to take any chances.

Patton took Virgil's hand softly and pulled him closer, allowing Virgil to rest his head on Patton's shoulder. "How was the rest of your shift, honey?"

"Long. Cute boy came in again today..."

"I thought you'd forgotten about him since you started dating Patton," Roman spoke up, sounding more harsh than intended.

Virgil looked at Roman and sighed. "I can still think he's cute. Plus I have his number and we're friends. He has a boyfriend too, if you must know. I have no intention of dating him, Roman."

Logan rested a hand on Roman's thigh and kissed his cheek softly. "Virgil adores Patton and wouldn't hurt him, remember. Just like Patton adores you and won't hurt you."

Virgil looked at Logan and sighed softly.

"So, how is cute boy?" Patton prompted.

"Oh. He's good. He still makes fun of me for throwing away his number... But it's fine. He came in with his boyfriend earlier, actually. It wasn't just him. They're really cute together. Logan would actually like his boyfriend, he loves science." Virgil smiled at Logan.

"Anything else exciting happen?"

"A woman got kicked out for yelling at one of the new hires. The poor girl started last week and is still getting the hang of the milk frother. She burnt her hand on the steam from the coffee part, and this woman went off on her for screwing up the order and taking too long. Thomas stepped out and went off on this woman, told the girl to take a break, finished the order and told the woman to never come back. I do feel for the girl, it's a stressful job. Mid shifts are awful too..."

"Is she okay?" Patton frowned.

"Yeah. She left after her break because her hand was hurting, so she was told to go get it treated just in case. Shouldn't be anything too severe. I've never seen T that angry before."

Patton squeezed Virgil's hand softly and smiled. "Virgey?"

Virgil looked at him. "Yeah?"

Patton kissed him softly. "I really like you."

Virgil laughed fondly and rested his head on his shoulder again. "I really like you too..."

The four sat in the cafe for a while, talking and joking, passing the time until Virgil had to lock up and go home.

-

After the incident with Logan, Virgil hadn't been in the same room with them alone for a month. It wasn't that neither wanted to, it was more anytime they started to talk about it, someone else came in and interrupted.

Eventually, Patton and Roman were out on a date, giving Logan and Virgil the entire house to themself.

"Virgil, would it be alright if we talked about what happened last month?" Logan sat on the sofa next to Virgil.

Virgil put down their notebook and looked at them. "Yeah. What's up?"

"As I'm sure you recall, I commented on a few things that I'm slightly less than proud of. However, I would like for you to know that I do recall what was said, and I do know it was said out of pure honesty and lack of a filter."

Virgil looked down and sighed softly. "What I said that night still stands, Logan."

"I am aware, that's why I spoke to Patton and Roman about it."

"Oh..." Virgil looked at them and frowned. "Why?"

"Because I meant what I said, and I... To put it simply, like you in a more than platonic way."

"Right..."

"And as I recall, you said you would be with me romantically if they were okay with it."

"I did say that, you're right."

"So, I suppose I'm asking, does that still stand?"

"Logan."

"Yes?"

"I think what you're trying to ask is, if you want to be less formal about it, will I be your boyfriend?"

"Yes, exactly."

"I would like to be your boyfriend, yes."

Logan smiled and nodded once. "That is ideal. Thank you." They stood up.

"Logan?"

"Yes?"

"Do you want to watch a movie?"

Logan sat back down, this time closer to Virgil and nodded. "I would. Yes please."

Virgil smiled fondly and handed them the remote. "Pick whatever you would like. Do you want to cuddle?"

Logan flushed and looked at him. "Would that be alright?"

Virgil smiled and grabbed a blanket, draping it over his legs and holding up the other end for Logan to come under.

Virgil held Logan close as they rested their head on his shoulder and chose a movie. Virgil wasn't really paying attention as he was more focused on playing with Logan's hair and watching the reaction it elicited from them.

It didn't take long for Logan to fall asleep, and for Virgil to turn the movie off. He moved them so their head was in his lap and he sent a photo to Patton, knowing his boyfriend would quite enjoy it and the knowledge of their newfound relationship.

-

Virgil sat on the sofa, playing with Logan's hair as the two watched a movie. Things had been going pretty smoothly since they'd started dating. Probably because when Virgil was with Logan, Roman got Patton. And when Virgil was with Patton, Roman got Logan. The only two who got less time together were Patton and Logan, but the two seemed okay with it since they still got to go on dates.

Roman stormed in through the front door and dropped his bag by his feet, eating the front door to slam shut behind him.

Virgil flinched and sat upright, panicked about who was angry and why.

Logan frowned and took Virgil's hand, noticing the fear in him. They traced shapes into the back of Virgil's hand and watched Roman come into the living room.

"I've had it. Okay? When are you going to stop taking everything?" Roman glared at Virgil.

Virgil opened his mouth to reply, before closing it again out of confusion and intimidation.

"Well?" Roman pushed, raising an eyebrow.

Virgil frowned and held Logan's hand tighter, glancing at the stairs as Patton came into the room.

"What's going on?" Patton rested a hand on Roman's arm, trying to calm him down slightly.

Roman shrugged him off and stepped closer to Virgil. "Answer me!"

"What did I take?" Virgil glanced at Logan, his anxiety starting to climb rapidly.

"You know damn well what you took, you thieving bastard!"

Virgil tensed up and shook his head. "I didn't take anything! Please just back off until you've calmed down..."

Roman glowered and kicked his bag towards Virgil. "Where the hell is my stuff for my performance?"

"I don't know? Wherever you left it?"

"I left it all in my bag, you took it!"

"Why would I take your performance stuff?"

"Because you want everything of mine!" Roman growled lowly.

"What?" Virgil curled up and clenched their free hand into a fist, trying to stay grounded.

"First it's Patton, then it's Logan, now you're trying to sabotage me at work so you can swoop in and be the better person, like always!"

"Roman, you left your acting stuff out on the table last night, it should all be on your desk, I cleared it away this morning." Patton interjected, going and sitting with Virgil.

"Whatever. Now you're going to give him all the attention, once again!" Roman huffed and stalked up to his room.

Virgil looked down and took a slow, deep breath. "I'm fine, Pat. Really." He stood up and moved Roman's bag to the front door for him. "We should make something he really likes for dinner. He's probably stressed from his upcoming play." He put on a smile and went into the kitchen.

Patton frowned and followed Virgil. "Honey, I saw how scared you looked, are you okay?"

"I'm fine, Pat." Virgil kissed his cheek and pulled out some pasta. "Don't worry about it. You should make sure Roman's okay."

Logan stood in the doorway and frowned. "Virgil, you're allowed to feel upset."

"I know. But I'm not." Virgil turned to face them and smiled fondly. "Really. Go and check on Roman. He needs it more."

Patton and Logan shared a glance, before giving Virgil a kiss each, and going up to Roman's room.

Virgil leaned against the counter and sighed shakily, pulling his sleeves down over his hands. He didn't mean it, Virgil told himself, he's just upset because he's got a lot going on and he's worried he'll lose them both.

Virgil sighed and went back to making dinner for the four of them, knowing whatever he did, Roman wouldn't be happy, but it would have to do.

Roman came back downstairs and into the kitchen, grabbing himself a bottle of water. "What are you doing?" He looked at Virgil.

"Making dinner?"

"Why?"

"Because you need Patton and Logan right now, so I'm making dinner while they're with you..."

Roman raised an eyebrow. "That's what you're doing for now..."

"What do you mean, Roman?" Virgil looked at him tiredly and sighed. "I have no ulterior motive here. I just want you to have Patton and Logan for a little while."

"I know you're trying to take them away from me."

"Why would I do that?"

"Because you don't like me."

"What?" Virgil frowned.

"You don't like me at all, and you want me to be gone. So you can have them to yourself."

"That's not true at all! I really do like you, though I question why sometimes. I don't want them away from you. Really."

Roman scoffed. "That's what you're saying but I don't believe you."

Virgil went to reply, only to be distracted by the pasta water boiling over. He turned around to deal with it, and when he turned back, Roman had gone again.

"Moron..." Virgil sighed.

-

The house had been tense ever since Roman had accused Virgil of stealing his stuff, and no one was sure how to end the tension between them.

Roman sat on the sofa watching a movie, humming along to the tunes. He sighed and looked towards the front door as it opened and someone walked in and dropped their keys into the dish.

The front door got locked and Virgil walked into the living room. "Please don't start on me, I'm tired." He walked over and sat on the sofa.

"Come here," Roman frowned and pulled Virgil closer.

Virgil looked at him confused and sat next to him.

Roman guided Virgil's head down and had him rest his head on his chest, running his fingers through Virgil's hair softly. "Do you need to talk about it or sit in silence?"

"Silence, please..."

"Movie on or off?"

"It can stay on, it's fine..." Virgil closed his eyes and sighed softly. "Where's Lo and Pat?"

"Logan's taking a nap, shocker, and Patton went to pick up dinner." Roman hummed softly. "I'm really sorry if I've added stress to you, V."

"You have, but I like your dumbass anyway, so it's fine."

Roman smiled and continued playing with his hair fondly. "I like you too, dumbass." He laughed.

Virgil looked up at him and smiled. "You have a funny way of showing it."

"I didn't want you to decide I wasn't worth it and leave..."

Virgil cupped his cheek softly. "I have no intention of it anytime soon, I promise."

Roman smiled and kissed his hand softly. "Good."

Virgil lay back on his chest and closed his eyes. "Now shut up before I kick your ass."

"Cute..." Roman smiled fondly.

Virgil smiled and slowly fell asleep to the sound of Roman humming along to one of the songs in the movie.

-

Due to their work schedule, Logan hadn't been able to take Virgil out on a date the way they would have liked to, so they set up a small romantic meal from home, knowing it would cause Virgil less anxiety than a public setting.

They spent the entire day preparing a meal they knew Virgil would like, and set the table with two small candles. They made sure to grab a small bottle of something Virgil would enjoy drinking, and made sure everything was set for when he got home from work.

Virgil walked into the house and looked around, slightly confused. "Lo?" He found Logan and sat next to him. "What's going on?"

"I decided that you and I needed a date, so I made dinner and set it up. I hope it's appropriate for you."

Virgil smiled fondly and kissed his cheek softly. "It seems perfect. Thank you so much. Just what I needed today."

Logan smiled and led him to the table, pulling out his chair for him to sit down, before going to serve up two plates of food for them to eat.

After a short while of conversation and eating, the two migrated to the sofa and cuddled up against one another.

"I really needed this after everything with Roman, thank you, Lo."

"It really is my pleasure, darling. I know you're stressed lately. It's the least I could do for you."

Virgil looked at them and smiled fondly. "Does it make you uncomfortable if I call you handsome?"

"Not at all, thank you for asking."

"I think you're really handsome." Virgil murmured and brushed his nose against Logan's.

Logan smiled fondly. "And I think you're handsome too. But I have to admit, I think your eyes are pretty."

Virgil flushed softly and rolled his eyes. "Shut up..."

"Do you really want me to?"

"Not at all." Virgil smiled fondly.

Logan nodded and scanned Virgil's face fondly. "Would it be alright if I kissed you?"

Virgil nodded and watched Logan as they leaned in and connected their lips softly. Virgil held onto Logan's shoulders tightly, leaning into the kiss, easily getting lost in the euphoria he felt.

Logan promptly pulled away, keeping the kiss short, but the electricity still buzzing around them.

"Thank you..." Virgil murmured.

"For?" Logan frowned.

"I... Uh, the meal and stuff... But also for the kiss, I guess?" Virgil flushed and laughed weakly, still not quite down from his high yet. "You make me feel really gay..."

"I'm not quite sure how that is possible..."

"Neither am I, but I love the feeling..." Virgil laughed and leaned against Logan. "Thank you again, for the meal."

"It's quite alright."

Virgil smiled and the two spent the rest of the evening talking quietly among themselves and cuddling until they went to sleep.

-

Virgil sighed and walked into the living room, climbing into Roman's lap. "Morning...."

"Good morning, stormy." Roman smiled and kissed the top of Virgil's head. "Work today?"

"Nope, you?" Virgil yawned and curled up against Roman.

"Nope. Date day?"

"Sounds good, more sleep first?"

Roman laughed and picked Virgil up, carrying him back to his room. "Nope. I'm going to pick you an outfit that I think you should wear more often."

"Why?" Virgil looked at him.

"Because it will look amazing."

"Modest much."

Roman grinned and pulled out a purple button up shirt, a pair of black pants, and a pair of black converse. "Get dressed. We're going out."

Virgil sighed and got himself dressed, and attempted to tame his hair, before joining Roman downstairs by the front door.

Roman took his hand softly and led him out of the house. "I have a place I think you'll enjoy."

They walked to the park keeping conversation to a minimum, as they didn't feel the need to say anything, just enjoy one another's company.

Roman led them to a small forest area in the back of the park and sat on the grass, pulling Virgil into his lap.

"You could murder someone here and no one would know..."

"I'm sure someone would hear the screams, stormy." Roman laughed and kissed his cheek.

Virgil looked at him fondly. "Do you come here often?"

"Are you trying to flirt with me?"

Virgil flushed and punched his arm. "No, you dunce. I meant, do you come here to think and reflect and stuff often?"

"Yeah. It's my hidy place. I like to escape when I'm here."

"Do Patton and Logan know about it?"

"Nope."

"So why are you showing me?"

"Because you deserve a hidy place too."

Virgil smiled fondly and cupped Roman's cheeks softly. "Can I kiss you?"

Roman grinned and nodded.

Virgil rested their foreheads together, scanning Roman's eyes. He noticed flecks of gold against the natural brown of Roman's iris and smiled fondly. "Even your eyes are extra."

Roman laughed fondly. "Shut up and kiss me."

Virgil brushed their lips together, and hummed softly. He took a moment and admired Roman's eyes again, before kissing him softly, immediately melting against him.

Unlike the rest of his personality, Roman's kisses were soft and gentle, showing how much he cared for the individual he was kissing. His lips were soft and smooth, never bitten or chapped the way Virgil's were.

Virgil felt like he was floating when he kissed Roman, the way their lips fit together and the way he felt protected and loved all at the same time. It was perfect.

Roman pulled away slightly and smiled fondly, pressing a light kiss to Virgil's forehead before Virgil opened his eyes. "Perfect, Stormy."

Virgil looked at him fondly and kissed him again and again. Nothing would ever get him used to the feeling of kissing the men he adored.

-

After a month, the tension in the house had all but dissipated, and the four were able to have a somewhat relaxing relationship.

Virgil sat next to Logan and smiled fondly. "Kiss?"

Logan nodded and kissed him softly, letting Virgil hold them close.

Patton sat on the sofa and set the pizza down in front of them all. "Pizza!"

Virgil hummed and pulled away slightly. "What movie are we watching?"

"Hercules!" Roman ran into the room and forced himself between Patton and Virgil.

Patton laughed fondly and went to sit with Logan, curling up into him.

Virgil looked at roman fondly and cupped his cheek softly. "You owe me a kiss."

"Do I now? Whatever for?"

Virgil pouted at him. "Because you made me think you were going to kiss me and then you licked my cheek."

Roman laughed. "Yeah, yeah. Okay."

Roman kissed Virgil softly, wrapping an arm around his waist.

Virgil melted into the kiss and hummed happily, enjoying the way their lips seemed to fit together perfectly. He pulled away and grabbed a slice of pizza, before leaning against Roman again.

In that moment, Virgil realised the universe definitely didn't hate him, it was just testing his patience and his ability to find his own pot of gold at the end of the rainbow.
