Going to the park might be a good idea . . .

Sans have been studying for three days . . . Three days straight . . .

You brought him every book for high school and he study.

Every. Single. God. Damn. Book.

Even you can't do that, it'll just mess up your brain and make you go crazy with stress pilling up your shoulders.

Lately, you've noticed Sans' eye bags these past days. You guess that Sans worked too hard for this test and needs a break.

So you had an idea this morning. . .

You told him that both of you would go to the park and relax. . .

Sans did not like the idea.

Sans did not like going outside because outside is not safe to him.

what if those bad people are at the park too?!!! or worse, they're just waiting outside the house!!!

So he locked himself in his room ( you gave one of the guest rooms as his room ) hid, and coiled himself in his pillow forted nest like bed, too nervous to study knowing that you're waiting for him to come out. . .

Or you'll find the key and unlock it yourself. . .

He hears the knob jingled, you must have found the key to his room.

The knob was turned and the door opened, you pock your head in, seeing the tip of his tail outside the fort.

" Sans, come on, it's okay. I know you don't want to go out but . . It's for your own good. "

You walk to his fort and peek inside, you see him covering his face with a blanket. You gently pet his skull to get his attention.

Sans slowly lowers the blanket to look at you but curled to himself even more.

" i don't want to . . 'snot safe. "

" I know but I'll be there if something happens, okay? "

Sans thinks for a moment then nods, he knows you didn't want to force him but he needs this, in case he'll be on his own.

If he gets lost or-

Okay, he definitely needs this.

Besides, having friends is healthy for him . . socially . . .

Or he could at least know how to talk to people and just blend in with the society.

He gets out of his pillow fort to get ready . . .

Sans felt like luck is on his side today.

There aren't much people passing by today, none of them even glance at his direction like they were too busy to notice him.

Both of you arrive at the park with no problem, walking towards your favorite spot.

The spot was under the tree, slightly near the playground.

The tree is acting as a perfect shade for the both of you.

You set up the blanket as Sans lays on the soft grass, feeling like a cushion to him.

Rolling around the grass a little, a leaf landed on his forehead, Sans took it and admiring it a little before letting it go, letting it carried by the gentle breeze.

Sans felt . . relaxed. . .

Loving the fresh air, open area and the flowers blooming around him.

He can even hear the birds singing their song.

You called him to lay on the blanket that you set up and you gave him his sandwich that you made with extra tomatoes which Sans love.

Sans watch some human and monster children playing at the playground as he ate his sandwich whole with just one bite.

That cause you to smile and giggle at him, being the silly noddle he is.

Going to the park . . wasn't such a bad idea to him anymore.

That is until a human child had notice him, and curiously approach you two.

Sans didn't notice them when he took another sandwich from the basket, when he turned back in front, the kid was already five feet away.

Sans tried to block himself from the child sight by hiding behind you.

You, on the other hand, have other plans for him.

" It's okay Sans, their just a kid. You don't have to be afraid. "

You smiled at the curious child as you rub Sans bony hand, the kid must have notice that the lamia is shy and waited for him to be comfortable at them.

" You can say hi to them. Besides, this is like your first time interacting with someone other than me. "

You whispered the last part to him and gave him a hopeful look, hoping he could at least wave to the kid.

Sans moved a little to let the kid see him.

" h-heya kiddo . . "

The kid smiled and . . signed.

" Hello. "

Sans had a looked confused for a second, noticing they didn't use their voice.

At least Sans understand sign language. . .

Or mainly because he can literally see the words appeared right there, only a skeleton can see.

Sans move a little closer to the kid more, not feeling scared anymore but more curious.

" what's your name kiddo? "

The child's face lit up when he knows understands sign language.

" My name is Frisk, you and your friend? "

" the names sans and her name is
( y-n ), nice to meet you kiddo. "

" It's nice to meet both of you too. "

You watch the both of them, talking ( and signing ) about anything.

You were kind of surprised that Sans understand sign language since you never taught him those.

You were thankful that you took that ASL class and still remember it.

Sans let Frisk sit on his tail as Frisk touch his tail, feeling how warm it is and feels jelly-like.

Also touching his hand then his face, the kid giggled as he feels his face move like hard clay.

" T-th-there t-they are! "

" PUNK! Don't run off like THAT! YOU HAD Us all . . . worried . . woah. . . "

Two monsters approach as they saw Frisk ( a blue fish woman and a yellow dinosaur-lizard lady ) , when they saw Frisk with Sans, they looked shocked.

Sans started to look nervous at the new monsters and set Frisk down.

He backs out to you to hide behind you again, the two monsters glance at Sans curiously as the child signed to them.

Something about " new friends ", that was the only thing you red from their hands.

The two monsters approach you both carefully to not startle Sans ( even the brash fish woman was trying ), Sans appreciates their efforts a little.

Frisk ran up to the both of you and started signing like crazy that you almost can't read what their signing.

Sans relax a bit, the two monsters are friendly and wanted to meet him according to Frisk.

All of you ended up hanging out on a spider bakery, just near the park you both been hanging out.

Sans and the two monsters are sitting on a separate table you and Frisk are sitting on another separate table.

Frisk made you try a spider donut and cider, despite them being of spiders ( Frisk told you which made you cringe ) they are absolutely delicious.

You watch Sans enjoying himself with his new found friends.

Sans is also now a friend with the spider lady who's name was Muffet and runs the spider bakery.

This is where Sans belong. . .

Him being happy, like he really fits in with everyone. . .

You smile fondly at them, some of the spiders decided to play with Frisk and now their occupied which leaving you with your thoughts.

Your smile turn into a sad one as you think about Sans' future.

If he becomes independent. . .

Would he leave your house and live on his own?

It might happen some day . . .

Frisk tap your shoulder to get your attention, it pulled you out of your thoughts and your attention is now to them.

They sign if you were alright, you smiled and told them you were find.

You find the spiders cute and decided to play with them too as they curiously crawl around your arms.
