Inspired from Roja movie i have written this. Which is one of my most favorite of all times!

Let's begin......

Everyone are so happy at the village.
As the Sarpanch's elder daughter Swara got the proposal from the top most independent journalist of the country, Sanskar Maheshwari. Who is highly depended working for the people and government and the constitution to uncover the dark truths and secrets in the name of politics and etc's.

Sanskar was a gentleman with the clever mind, grown up at US. loves to live a simple life. Believes in love but no romantic love histories due to his busy schedule. Since it was his mother who insisted to get married from previous year but finally he could get some personal leave to explore his personal life. It was just 4 years he returned to India gaining the work he wanted to do.

Swara was ready in a red colour saree. She was looking very beautiful but she wasn't happy.
The reason was she was in love with someone from her university. Since he was from different cast, her father would never agree, he would instead kill her rather getting her married to the guy she loved!

While a girl in blue salwar ran out of a lab folding her coat. Since she have to catch and change 3 buses to reach her village.
She is Ragini, Swara's younger sister. She is a pampered child. A physics intern. But since their family could afford one child to English medium school, Swara got the opportunity. And Ragini had to go to Hindi medium. Which gets the difficulties in fluency in english. She got rejected for several jobs for her fluency in English language. That was her barrier. Also have the stage fear. But she is very intelligent and assistant to one of her physics professor. Always watch Hollywood movie to work on her English.
She was very excited for her sister's proposal.

After nearly 2 hours of journey she stepped down the bus. Hopefully she is not late.
Where as Sanskar got an important work. He was standing outside his car having an important and sudden meeting.
While his Mother Sakshi was looking around.
Ragini suddenly spots him.
She felt excited as well as shy looking at him. After all he is going to be her Brother-in-law.
He was having a conversation in English.

Ragini:unke English kitna Accha hai Ekdum Tom cruise jaisa (his English is so good just like Tom cruise)

Sakshi:Sanskar we are late. Hopefully we would reach there before the sunset.
He closed the laptop;we are done.
When he felt the gaze and looked at her.
She was so nervous now and she immediately runs from there.
While he left out a laugh looking her

While Ragini reached home and got to know They didn't come yet.
But in sometime Sanskar reach there along with his mother.
Sanskar:we did reach here but but but... This village is so beautiful that I just wanna look upon the beauty..
Sakshi:Can't agree more.. But hopefully there's someone who might distract you from this...
Sanskar controls his smile:stop playing riddles now..
Sakshi:well I think I was too direct.
Sanskar :okay.. Cool.

When the elders of the home go to welcome them including few villagers. There were nearly 40 members to welcome them.
Sanskar :joint family?
When the old lady laughs:nahi nahi chora hum tho gaav wale tehre se.. Sarpanch ki chori hai na!
He looks at her puzzled.
When another person tells:jamai sa ko hamri bhasha na aave.. Woh tho angrezi Mein chatar patar karat hai.
Sanskar raised his eye brows and nods.
Where others just complement him based on his look, studies and job and as well as tell him that they even saw him in TV news giving interviews.
Sanskar just smiled he just introduced his words with "Namaste"
Where everyone laughed considering that it was too difficult for him to say.
While they were asked to sit.
Sakshi:seems your language test is going on!
Sanskar:I guess so mom.
And they laughed.
While SwaRagini's dad looks at them quizzically with a smile.
While they just simply nod in nothing.

Swara was presented in front of them by her mother.
While sakshi asks her to sit.
Sanskar looked at her when he saw Ragini who was peeping behind a pillar
And she quickly hides.

Sakshi asks some casual questions to Swara. To which she answers politely with a smile on her face.
While Sanskar was just a silent spectator.
And Sakshi places a request of letting Sanskar and Swara talk alone.
And the people there felt offended with this but still didn't react because they know they won't get such a proposal after that!

Ragini quickly arranged some food and placed it outside where a table with 2 chairs were present.
Looking at them approaching she quickly moves while Sanskar takes a glance of her. His lips automatically curved into a smile. While Swara asks him to sit.
Sanskar smiles :thanks.. You too.
While they takes their seat.
Swara:that's my sister Ragini. The girl who just went from here now.
Sanskar:oh..
There was silence for some moment.
Sanskar:I am Sanskar..
Swara:I know.
Sanskar:well I wanted to break this silence.
Swara smiled:Ragini also does this to break silence.
And she just nods.
Sanskar looks around where people are hiding.
Swara:don't worry.. They don't understand English!
Sanskar:cool.

Sanskar: You did complete MBA...
Before he could continue.
Swara:Ragini did the masters in physics.
Sanskar was bit confused now.
Swara:you know she is a trained classical singer and dancer and also loves to travel. I admire her courage and ability though she faced troubles in language but good thing about her is she never give up.
Sanskar just nods:nice. Let's talk about...
Swara interrupts:she is a very good cook.
Sanskar looks on.
Swara:between good height and she has a very attractive personality. When we were small I just love to adore her eyes and smile.
He just literally figured what she was trying to do. And he just smiled.
Swara:she is multi talented.. She is a good sketch artist..
Sanskar :madam.. I think you are trying this on a wrong person.
She just got silent.
Sanskar:I have very few free time, which is very precious to me because I wanna build a relation. If you didn't wanna marry me, you shouldn't have wasted my time by calling me here. I am not a kind of person you want me to be...
Swara:am sorry.. But I am helpless I want to avoid all these proposal because I am already in love with someone else.
Sanskar:then why don't you discuss this with your family.
Swara :here before seeing ones abilities and talent.. It's looked upon a cast and most importantly.. Falling in love is looked as a crime and will be tagged as characterless.
Sanskar could understand her but what can he do.... Travelling here was not just a simple trip. It was the future. He selected Swara from her picture.
He stood.
Swara:everyone's problems will be solved.. Consider that you came for my sister..
Sanskar just nods his head feeling disgusted. He just can't select the younger sister
Swara just:she is in the room straight to here. You can go and see her.. You will like her!
Sanskar stood being furious:what are you trying to do. The rejection in this proposal is that what you want? Don't sound foolish with your overrated logics which I am not intending to buy.
Swara:please calm down. Everyone are watching us.

Ragini was watching them from distance.
All she was doing a pencil sketch of him that once the proposal is done, she can gift him something from her side.
When one of her aunt:kya kar rahi ho tum? (what are you doing?)
Ragini:jab Yeh rishta ho jayega tho Mein Yeh unko doongi. (when the proposal is done. I will give this to him.)
Aunt:koi zaroorat nahi tumhe unke aage Jaane ki..kamre se bahar mat nikalna jab tak Yeh log Yahaan se nahi nikalte.
(no need to go in front of him..just stay inside the room until they go from here)
Ragini just looks on.

Sanskar gets a call.
Swara:give a chance. You can attend the call near room.
He pass her a look and walks. Fortunately or unfortunately he have to pass through the same room.
Ragini was complaining to her cousin:what will happen if I meet him?

Sanskar stopped listening to her.
Ragini:ek sketch hi tho deni thi mujhe. Agar Swara ki Shaadi unse ho gayi tho woh ek din mere liye bhi koi apne jaisa ladka dhoond layenge.. Isi liye tho rehna tha unke acche kitabon Mein!
Her cousin laughed :you mean good books.
Ragini :ab khi khi khi karke hasne ki zaroorat nahi hai. Matlab tho ek hi hai na!
He smiled.
Swara:little weak in English fluency but she will learn it very soon.
He turns to her.
Swara:don't take me wrong. I find you are so perfect for my sister that I am trying so hard to get her in your good books.
She smiled shrugging her shoulders.
Where old ladies laughed feeling shy:they will not stop talking until first night I think.
Both looks at the lady who commented it.
Swara:decision is yours. You can reject me and go aswell. No issues. But please don't tell my secret to someone else please. I request.
He just nods.
Ragini sees them talking together and she smiled.
When Sanskar was about to turn to her.
Ragini quickly hides.

...

Sakshi:what did you decide?
Sanskar:no clarity.
Sakshi:what?
Sanskar:mom.. If not now.. I might.. Really take 2 more years for marriage. What do you think is best for me?
Sakski stretched her lips:its your choice.. But Sanskar I really wish to have a daughter-in-law soon..
Sanskar:and what if I don't want to marry this girl?
Sakshi:there are other proposals as well.. But why don't you want to Sanskar. I really don't like this.. Coming till here and rejecting. those people are really hopeful. Though I don't have a daughter but I can understand the feeling. I have never questioned your decision...
Sanskar:okay mom.. Come with me.
They moved from lawn. Where people were peeping and they immediately moved.
Sanskar looked at sakshi with an annoyed smile looking at the privacy treatment.

Ragini rolls the sketch..she was adamant No matter what she would gift him soon after the proposal is fixed.
She lights the diya in front of the God idol wishing that everything goes well.
Ragini hides near the front door. There would be a good chance when he will go out then she can gift him.
Sanskar looks around as his eyes were searching for someone.
When he spots her near the door.

When a old lady:tho Phir Yeh rishta pakka samjhe?
Ragini was so happy and excited and muttee:Haan bol dho...
Sanskar:yes.
Ragini smiles widely. While Swara looks on.
Sanskar looks at Sakshi:only if it's her!
He points to Ragini looking straight to Ragini.
While everyone looks shocked. Ragini was beyond shocked. She was not sure what was happening. She dropped the sketch in shock
Sakshi :sanskar..
He just looks at her.
Sakshi couldn't question him further.
Sanskar walked to move out. He looked straight into her eyes. He picked the sketch which was near his foot. He walked out.

...

Her aunt:meine kaha tha na mat ja ab dekho kya ho gaya. Usne tumhari behen ko chod kar tumse Shaadi karna chahta hai. Ab tho tumhari kaleje ko thand pad gayi hogi(didn't I tell you. Don't go. See now what happened. He rejected your sister to marry you. Now you must be happy.)
While Ragini was crying pulling her knees on to her chest.
Her mother:ab hum kya karenge (what will we do now?
Her father:Hume aisa rishta tho Phir se nahi milna tho Kar lete hai. (we won't be getting this type of proposal again. So let's do it)
Ragini looks on.

....

Sakshi:don't you think this is wrong.
Sanskar was sipping coffee watching news on the TV.
He looks at her.
Sanskar:I think.. No. Swara is in love with someone else. She wanted me to reject her because her family are forcing her.
Sakshi :why did you propose her sister then?
Sanskar:I think I liked her!
He blinks his eyes thrice a times with a smile shrugging his shoulder.
While sakshi facepalmed.
And she hit him lightly on his arm:you just dropped the huge missiles there!
He looks at the sketch which was so perfect that... Like he would have never seen himself with so much admiration that today he is looking at this sketch of himself.

....

Ragini's mother gets the bridal lehenga which was sent by Sanskar.
Ragini was so angry that she just throws it away.
Her mother:Ragini!!!
Ragini cries holding a chair
Her mother:(bacchon jaisi harkat mat karo) don't pretend like a child.
Ragini:maa.. Swara kya sochegi. Aapne Yeh socha hai kabhi. Aapko Yeh sab Accha lag raha hogamujhe nahi. Mein Nahi.. Mein Yeh nahi kar sakti(Maa.. How will Swara feel. Did you think of that... You might feel good about it not me. I can't... I can't do this!!!)
Her mother smiles:oh ho.. Swara ki bhi tumhari Saath hi Shaadi ho rahi hai
Ragini looks on.
Her mother:sanskar damad ji ke acche dost ke Saath. Padha likha aur Accha kamata bhi hai.
She looks on.

....

Sanskar was looking around.. He was stuck in important work all these and in 3 days it's the wedding. And he came to a wedding function of Ragini's friend which she is attending.
Ladies were dancing and singing.
When a girl in white Anarkali suit caught his attention. His lips curved into a smile.

Kehna hi kya ye mein ek anjaan se jo mile Chalne lage mohabbat ke jaise ye silsile
Ragini was singing dancing by covering white
netted dupatta over her face.

Armaan naye aise dil mein khile Jinko kabhi main na jaanoon

She removes the dupatta. For her friend she came of 4 walls. Forgetting everything she was enjoying the function.
And she spots him.
While he smiles at her

Her mood drained out.
But she continued..
Vo humse hum unse kabhi na mile Kaise mile dil na jaanoon
Ab kya karein kya naam lein Kaise unhein main pukaroon

She avoided him in whole performance, she didn't even smile. It just became the hopeless situation.

Sanskar just looks around as he missed her.

Ragini moved to the room and picked her room. She just wanted to go somewhere else. Hide somewhere that nobody could find her.
She walks out.. Crossing the each pillars in the crowd she moved carefully. She didn't wanted to come face to face with Sanskar.

Someone just pokes her shoulder.
She turns and sees the nightmare. It was him.
While he smiled still panting for breath. As he followed her from a long distance. She was moving so fast. It was quite difficult to match her speed.

Sanskar:hai..
She just lowered her lashes literally looking at ground. Avoiding to see him.
Sanskar says again:Hai... I was going to meet you. With all these sudden preparation I couldn't..
Ragini looks at him.
Sanskar:how about we go to some clear place and talk.
And when someone just dashed with Ragini.
And he immediately holds her hand protecting her.
She looked at him and slowly tried to free her hand. He understood that she is uncomfortable and he left her hand.
She was so angry there was so much words in English have formed a paragraph to shout at him but they lost the connection near tongue.

Sanskar :let's move out from here.
She moved. While he simply followed her.

She stopped outside. She wanted to yell at him to not to follow her.
Ragini looks at him.
And he simply wanted to adore her, She had so much innocence that he can't stop doing that.
While she felt uncomfortable of his look.

Sanskar:I know we don't know each other much. But my mom always says that relationship is in our hands, especially being a couple is all about a partnership. I trust that we can fall, succeed and fall high together. I believe in commitments and love I would really want to have you in my life but before that I personally ask you do you agree for this partnership?
He told it so smoothly that she understood him. She would have happily agreed if the situation is messed. And she doesn't like him now.
She looked at him.
Ragini sees her father talking to someone there, if somehow he know that she denied the proposal then he would kill her.
Sanskar:do you agree?
Without a opition she just nods.
While he smiles:wo hoo.. should I consider this a victory..?
She looks at him with lot of courage she manged to say:I'll go now.
And she moved

....

Ragini was upset as she was ready in the pink colour bridal lehenga. She didn't look 1% happy on her big day.
While Swara was enjoying everything about her big day.

Soon they get married.

....

Sara's husband thanks Sanskar.
Swara :Thank you so much. It it weren't you. This was not possible.
Sanskar smiles:I am so good that I can't do anything about it.
Swara smiles:but I won't spare you if you hurt my sister. She is so upset leaving home that. She just kept herself busy inside her room.

Ragini didn't shed tears in her bidaai. She was just upset over the people around her.
And Swara hugged her.
Ragini didn't expect it. She just drowned more in guilt.
And she silently cried.
Swara wipes her tears:we will meet frequently.
Ragini just looks.

And she drops her near Sanskar's car.
She sits in the passenger seat.
While Sakshi sits in the backseat.

....

Sanskar and Sakshi were talking about the village and sharing their good memories. Where Ragini somewhat felt how low she was just that their accent is so perfect. It wasn't that she don't know English. She knows but the trouble was she present the words which was in her mind.
She answered the necessary things which Sakshi formally asked her.

She was all silent for an hour journey looking at the scenary outside.
Sanskar looks at her.
She understood that he wants to start a conversation so she just pretends to sleep.
Sanskar turned :Rag..
He stretched his lips but smiles.

She don't know when she fell in to sleep in real.she didn't had the proper sleep.

She opens her eyes as the car stopped.
Sakshi:chalo Ragini kuch khaa lete hai.. Safar aur bhi lamba hai.
They stepped out.

Sanskar frequently glanced at her while having good.
Sakshi:Ragini tum kuch Baat hi nahi kar rahi.. (Ragini you aren't speaking anything)
Ragini just formally smiled in return.
Sakshi:aise nahi chalega. (this is not done)
Accidentally his hand touched her.
And she immediately removed her hand and placed on her lap.
He looks at her.
And that fraction of moment he realised that she is avoiding him.

....

After the welcoming ceremony.
Ragini was sitting in the room.
Before he come to room. She just slept.(pretending to sleep)

Next morning.

She sees him slept on the sofa near by.
She slowly moved and opened her bag.
She took out a pink colour saree..

Later she comes out freshening.
He was talking over phone call.
Looking outside the window.

She have to pass by him to go out of the room.
She walked slowly passing by him but he held her wrist still talking over the phone call.
She was so nervous.
She tried to free her wrist. But he didn't leave her hand.
He disconnects the call.

He turned and he looks at her. He just looks at her. He just couldn't take off his eyes from her.
It wasn't that how she looked before or how he is looking at her now. Definitely at this moment he was really feeling something.
Sanskar composed:where was I?
In her low voice:I don't know.
Sanskar pretends of not listening her:huh?
Ragini:I don't know.
Sanskar smiled.

He turned her to the mirror:do you know. How you are looking?
Ragini looks at him through mirror.
Sanskar:damn gorgeous!
Ragini lowered her lashes as her cheeks were burning a little.
Sanskar:so there I was!!!
He was still holding her.
Ragini:leave me.
Sanskar looks at her being furious.
She got scared of his such look.
While controlled his smile:sit.
Ragini immediately sits.
Sanskar:did I hold you to leave..?
Ragini looks at him
Sanskar laughs a bit and kneels in front of her:look at your face.
Ragini was embarrassed.
Sanskar puts the pair of bangles on her hands.
Ragini looks at him.
Sanskar :well I had to give you this later for.. (he shrinks his eyes) what we call that.. Hmm
Ragini:muh dikhayi.
Sanskar:I couldn't have better muh dikhayi then this..
Ragini looks at him as her heart was beating faster and faster.
Sanskar caresses her cheeks while she moved back a little to avoid his touch.
He smiles:Ragini you are so adorable!
Ragini:shall.. Shall...
He waits for her to complete.
Ragini:Shall I go?
Sanskar:no..
She looks at him in fear.
He smile:go..
She moves slowly till door.
Sanskar smiles mischievously :no stay..
But she immediately runs.
He laughs.
