Twenty Four

"I-I like you, Jungkook."

"Was that good?" Jungkook blinked rapidly before he spoke.

"What?" He broke out of his trance and locked eyes with Lisa.

"I meant, do you think that was good enough for my audition? If it wasn't it's still okay?" Lisa giggled nervously very well knowing her lie was way too obvious.

"No, no it's was...great. It's just that I thought you were being serious for a second there." Jungkook held his hand over his heart, letting out a sigh of relief.

"So you're telling me that if I really had feelings for you..you wouldn't be happy?" Tears welled up in her eyes but she tried to blink them away.

"No! It's just-" Jungkook stopped as Lisa gripped onto her backpack's straps. She stood up, tears falling her eyes.

"Fine!" She wiped of her tears with her sleeve before storming out of Jungkook's room and out of his house.

Jungkook plopped back down onto his bed wondering where it went wrong.

~~~
Lisa ran around the corner and slid down the wall. She brought her knees up to her head and buried it.
"What's wrong with me?" She sniffled before hearing her stomach grumble. Lisa hadn't had enough to have a full meal but had a few snacks here and there.
She picked herself up and headed to the convenience store a few feet away from her. As she entered the bell by the door dinged signaling one's entry.
Lisa made her way over to the noodle section and picked a bunch of them.
"Mom! I'll get the milk!" She turned her head and saw Eunha head over to the refridgerators and pulled out a carton of milk. As Eunha turned around she came face to face with Lisa.
They were both frozen in place at the sight of each other..of course it gad been so long since they last broke off their friendship. Eunha walked past her and headed to the counter where he mother waited for her patiently.
"Mom. I'll see you at home." Eunha spoke before heading back over to the still frozen girl. Lisa felt herself being guided over to the eating section at the back of the store.
Eunha put her hands in her pocket before signaling for Lisa to sit down, and she did.
"How have you been all these years?" Eunha turned the stove on low heat and pouring water into the pot.
"Good, u?" Lisa replied shortly before turning to her.
"Well my last few years have been bad no thanks to you. But I'm fine now." Eunha said. "Are you still not over him yet?"
The water started boiling and Eunha opened the packets of noodles and put them in the pot.
Lisa jumped slightly at the question. After all these years she assumed that her friend had forgotten. She shook her head lightly.
"Will you just stop with this mess! You're grown up but you're being childish about these things!" Eunha was suprised at her sudden change in tone. She took a deep breath before continuing.
"What you did when we were young..it wasn't right. I always thought she was the wrong doer in this story. I've hung out with her and I realised all along that she was innocent the whole tim-"
"You don't know anything, okay." Lisa said grinding her teeth annoyingly.
"I do know that at the end of this, you are the one going to end up hurt. You'll lose everything." Eunha poured the noodles into bowls and slid one over to Lisa
"How can I lose something I never wanted in the first place. She's not my friend." Eunha scoffed slurping on the noodles.
"Ok fine then. You win..but I won't let you ruin someone's life just because of your pettiness." She wiped of the soup from her mouth with a tissue.
"Thanks for the noodles." She headed out of the store leaving Lisa staring into her bowl.
"You're welcome.." Lisa said as she snapped her chopsticks into pieces and threw them aside. She ruffled her hair in frustration.
~~~

You could hear the door bell ring from your bed. Feeling drained you couldn't bring yourself to head over to the door and just let your mom do it.

After a few minutes there was a knock on your door. You grumpily sat up and procedded to open it, but what you saw next made you smile.

"How did you get back here?" You picked up the puppy and cuddled into it's fur.

"Surprise!" Jungkook popped out of nowhere startling you.

"I thought you took them away." The puppy licked your cheek over and over again which made you giggle.

"I asked your mom if I can adopt him for you. And she said yes." You put the puppy down and pulled Jungkook into a hug. He quickly wrapped his arms around you returning the hug.

"Thank you, Jungkook."

Hey guys.
That was just a filler chapter for you guys. Just a little insight on Lisa and her former friend. And this is the longest I've written so far. Sorry it's boring this time around. I promise to update a better one next week.
