Thirty Five

Lisa groaned as she sat up on the bed, still processing what was happening around her. She turned to look through the balcony's glass door, immediately noticing that it was pitch black outside.

You and Eunha were both fast asleep on your individual beds, tired from all the walking around the previous day.

Lisa slowly rolled out of bed carefully, so as to not wake anyone up. She then headed into the bathroom and took a quick shower. Quickly dressing up in her casual clothes she headed out of the room.

She closed the door to the room and took out her phone from her backpack and checked the time.

"5:30am." She whispered to herself as she turned it off and put it back into her pocket.

"No one's going to notice if I'm gone anyway, right?" She shrugged as she made her way out of the hotel and to the convenience store across the street.

She walked around for a bit, trying locate the section with all the different types of noodles. Lisa spotted them on on of the shelves and grabbed at least two packs before heading towards the counter.

After paying at the counter, she made her way to the back of the store and sat by the large window.

The water slowly came to a boil, so she placed the noodle blocks in the pot waiting patiently for them to cook.

Lisa then supported her head onto her palm, sighing as she drew small circles on the counter with her nail.

The crowd cheered from the stands as the two teams walked out of the court. After a gruelling forty eight minutes, one of them walked away the victor at the end of it all. Soon another two teams would come out in a few to battle it out on that same court.

The matches had been going on from 9 a.m that morning, and the boys team would get to play at around 4 p.m. But they had shown up earlier anyways, to scrutinize how their potential opponents played.

The crowd jumped and screamed as the next two teams came out from the locker room area. You were startled that your phone had dropped onto the ground from your hand.

A sigh left your mouth as you noticed the crack visible on your screen.

"Ah, sorry about that, Y/N." Eunha said as she turned to look at your screen.

"No no. It's fine. I was just-" You inhaled quite a bit of air before exhaling it all. "I'm worried about Lisa, that's all. She's not responding to my texts and my calls are not going through."

"It's not like her to just..disappear like this."

She wrapped an arm around your shoulders, a small smile visible on her face. "Maybe she just wanted a bit of time to herself for a little bit. I'm sure she'll call you back when she gets the chance."

You returned the smile and thanked her for trying to make you feel better.

The loud sounds of cheering stole your attention, turning all your attention back to the court.

Lisa was walking around the mall after doing a little shopping. It was around 2 p.m, that she decided to go back to the hotel room, but-

She stopped as she heard the sounds of a guitar sounding off in the background, followed by a sweet harmonious voice. She closed her eyes for a little bit letting the music overcome her senses.

"That is so beautiful.." She quietly spoke before turning around.

There was a crowd of people surrounding the water fountain, clapping along to the song. Her moved appeared to move on it's own, as if it were hypnotized.

She found a bench a few meters away from the fountain where she could still hear the enchanting melody. Her body swayed at each strum of the guitar, as if she knew the song by heart.

The song had come to a close and the audience cheered loudly, including her. The young male bowed continuously as people dropped money into his open case.

She pulled out her wallet, and took out a few bills, and casually placed them into the case. The man gave her a charming smile, bowing deeply as she did so.

She returned the smile before walking back to the bench ready to hear the next song.

The time had finally come for the boys of Busan High to participate in the tournament. After a long agonising wait, they were escorted to the locker rooms where they still were now.

There were murmers here and there, probably reminding each other of the coordinated plays.

Jungkook smiled as his phone dinged for about the tenth time, so far.

"Yah, Jungkook!" Jaebum, the team captain yelled out grabbing the attention of all the players in the room.

"Yes, captain?" He replied innocently. After sending a quick text back, He turned to look over at Jaebum and the rest of his teammates.

"Jungkook," Jaebum sighed before walking closer to him, the team casually doing their own things again. "Now is not the time to be love sick, okay? There's no time for distractions, especially now."

Jungkook frowned, but nodded anyway. He sighed as he opened up his locker and took out his team jersey, putting it over his bare upper body.

He whimpered a little as he heard the familiar ding sounding off from his phone.

No, he should concentrate on the game because it was really important to the team, to the coach and of course..to him.

"Jungkook!" He snapped out of his demeanor and turned towards the captain once more. "We're going over game plans again, come over here."

Jungkook obliged. He closed his locker and headed over to the rest of his team.

The Seoul Sports Complex was filled with murmers in that very moment. Since it was only the male teams competing today, the crowd was mostly packed with females.

"I've seen a lot of cute guys so far, but I wouldn't say they're attractive." Soojin, one of your teammates sighed as she spoke out.

"Yah, Soojin-ah. We're here to compete, not to scout for attractive looking guys." Chaeryeong, another teammate spoke out as she stared at the empty court.

"I mean yeah but-why can't a girl do both." Soojin placed her hand under her chin, obviously sad.

"But there's nothing wrong with gawking, am i right?" Soojin hummed in confusion at the suddenly occupied seat next to her. She finally nodded before turning her attention back to the empty court.

"Y/N doesn't have to worry about anything. She already found her own perfect guy." You turned around as soon as you heard your name.

"Yah, Soojin-ah. The perfect guy will come to you soon, but it just..takes time. So you have to be patient." Chaeryeong nodded as well, comforting her friend in the process.

The girl who had been sitting next to Soojin secretly rolled her eyes before heading to her teammates, who were seated a little further up the bleachers.

"Trying to mess with their focus won't work," the girl said folding her arms in the process. "Guess I have to come up with another plan -as always." She said, glaring at all of you.

Your phone had grabbed your attention shortly after that. You and Jungkook were texting back and forth, mostly with you asking if he was nervous about the competition. But you could tell that he wasn't.

"Here they come!" You quickly put your phone away, and stood with the rest of the crowd as they cheered on the two emerging teams.

They wasted no time in beginning the game, lowering the ear piercing cheers only slightly.

Both teams ran out onto the court before the referee blew his whistle, signalling they had to position themselves accordingly.

Jungkook locked eyes with his opposite, and a smirk made it's way across his face. 'You're going to lose today,' He mouthed as the referee blew his whistle once more. The forty eight minutes began shortly after, the crowd now roaring with excitement, and an overly excited coach sitting on the sidelines cheering on with the crowd.
