Really really short story just to remind ya

Try to find out who's narrating btw :P

I was there, minding my own business when I heard the sound of crying and sobbing. I sighed to myself and turned around to see the little troll I always knew and loved. Lake crying. "Lake? Why are you crying...?"

"I disappointed you..." she whispered to me, weakly from all her crying. Her eyes were as red as I remembered when I looked at myself from the mirror after all that sobbing. I gave her a reassuring look. "You didn't disappoint me..."

"But I was supposed to make everybody happy like you want me to... instead, I ruined their happiness with all my mistakes..." she said as I watched her wipe her tears. I smiled and told her, softly. "Listen, Lake... we all make mistakes. We've all been there, but trust me when I say so..."

"But-"

"Look, I know you were meant to make everybody smile and laugh, but I made you for another reason. You're kinda like an entity to me, which isn't bad. You have tried your best, Lake, you made me proud. Your effort, love, smiles... that's what makes you... You." I smiled widely at her as a small smile gleamed on her face. I just hope I'm not lecturing her like how my mother would to me.

"Anyways, if anyone forgets why you were ever created... then they need to realize that, themselves." I said, and saw a big smile on her face. Just looking into her green eyes always made me feel like a mother somehow. She was... kinda like a daughter to me. Even though she's way older than me.

"Thanks, V. I'll remember that." She then skipped away, with a big grin on her face. I chuckled to myself and continued to do what I was doing. It was easy for everybody to forget the reason why I always appreciate Lake. Even I forget... but now that Lake remembers, I'm sure she would always remind me that every time I look into her eyes.
