Chapter 6 ( Little things bring us together)
Reader's P.O.V.
Prior to Laito leaving my office, I found myself going through his files all though I only had access to the school's medical records and nothing too personal. It was listed that he had 5 brothers who I have yet to meet excluding Shu. However, there wasn't much to know about him, even the schools information on him was limited. It also seems that he's got suspended numerous time for his behavior around the school female population. I scoffed, not really surprised at this fact.
As I read through Laito's files, I heard someone abruptly come into my office. I quickly stood up, pushing the files aside. Looking at the visitors I thought it was Laito again but realized it was one of his brothers I just read about. I didn't know which one it was but they could possibly be twin because this one certainly looked similar to Laito. Upon observing them, the blonde girl that was with Laito's brother appeared to be bleeding rather mildly in her neck area. I was worried about this as I walked over to her, making sure to put on a pair of blue latex gloves.
Dr. (Y/n): Woah, what happened to you, did you get bit by a vampire or something?
I say jokingly, unaware of the truth behind my words.
Laito's brother looked at her in a domineering way upon my response. Witnessing this, I could clearly see the blonde girl was somewhat intimidated and afraid of him.
Yui: I.....had an accident.
She said quietly.
Ayato: Just let her take a look at you Yui so we can go, pancake.
He said harshly to her.
I took her neck in my hand examining it before going towards one of the shelves for something to stop the bleeding. When I had managed that, I dabbed the remaining blood with a napkin, cleaned it so it wasn't infected and applied the needed medication to help close up her blood vessels.
Dr. (Y/n): You should be careful, whatever pierced you could have really done damaged to your blood vessels. It was way too deep of a puncture, any deeper and you could have bled out.
Yui seemed quite worried upon hearing this. Meanwhile, I went over to my medicine cabinet, for a painkiller and started preparing a needle.
Dr. (Y/n): Hope your not afraid of needles.
I say as I drew the liquids into the needle before getting an alcohol pad and wiping it against the puncture on Yui's neck to prevent a rash and swelling.
Yui: No, not really.....
Dr.(Y/n): Great!
I gently held onto her as I stuck her with the needle, shooting the liquids into her. I then placed a nice colorful kids band aid on the holes where tiny drops of blood started to form.
Dr.(Y/n): The shot will help with the pain and you may feel numb later. Just be careful from now on.
She nodded at me to say thanks before giving me a light smile. The boy who was watching me tend to her seemed relieved that they can finally leave. As I watched them go, I caught a few words of their conversation.
Ayato: This wouldn't have happened if you stayed still like I asked.
Yui: But you were hurting me and I didn't like it-
Ayato: Shut up!
I went back to reading the files on my desk, I turned around sharply when I felt another presence behind me. I was rather surprised to see Laito. He seemed interested in my activity, looking past me slightly to see me digging in his medical files.
Laito: Trying to learn more about me are you?
he said with a smug grin.
Dr.(Y/n): Shouldn't you be in class?
I say as my eyes narrowed.
Laito: I don't know, should I?
Dr.(Y/n): If your not here because your hurt then I'll politely ask you to leave.
I say rather sternly but Laito only seemed more amused and chuckled as he inched towards me. At this moment I started backing up before I felt the counter top behind me hit my back.
Dr.(Y/n): Laito, I'm not a violent person but I'm warning you-
Laito: I just love the way my name rolls off your tongue bitch-chan!
He said rather happily before grabbing onto my waste. I gasped and felt something angry build up inside me and the same moment a saw a spark of a strong emotion burning in his eyes that I didn't want directed towards me. Before I knew it, my hand reared up in an automatic defense. M eyes had closed without my realization as a sharp slap echoed throughout the room. I was worried, fearing my actions may cause him to get extremely angry but instead he seemed to relish the feeling. Opening my eyes slightly, he had a red hand print on his cheek and his eyes wide in surprise before they locked onto me again with pure want. Don't tell me he's a masochist, I panicked inside of my head.
Laito: Hit me again bitch-chan.
He begged as his grip tightened on me. I was trying my best to holding him back, pushing his chest away with as much force as I could. No sooner had this event unfolded, I was saved by an unlikely creature. A spider slowly descended between out bodies by a single line of silk connected to the ceiling. Upon noticing it, I got a sudden burst of adrenaline and harshly pushed Laito aside. Taking no time to jump on top for the counter behind me, I jumped from from one leg to the other, making pitched "ews" escape my lips as I pointy at the creature that was now on the floor. Laito was rather confused at my actions before turning to what I was pointing at. Once he had also spotted the rather large spider on my office floor, he was also on the counter top along side me.
Dr.(Y/n): Laito!!?? What are you doing, kill it!!!
I begged but it turns out, he didn't like insects anymore than I did and I was disappointed because he was no help at all. I didn't expect this one bit. Either way, I had completely forgotten about the situation that unfolded between us. Laito and I were stuck on the counter top, too creeped out to deal with the spider but knowing we couldn't stay up here forever, I began throwing things a the spider in hopes it might go under the door to escape my reining attacked. I threw a large text book but I missed by like inches and it only scurried closer to, no doubt a spider that big was going towards us because we were emitting heat. Or at least I was, Laito felt cold and dead when he touched me.
Laito: Little to the left.
Dr.(Y/n): If your going to judge my throwing then you do it.
I snapped. I tried again, throwing a balled up piece of paper in the spider's direction which was a bad idea. It only started making it's way up the counter as Laito and I scooted as far away from it as possible, ultimately getting back on the floor since it was now spider free.
Once on the floor, I grabbed some disinfectant spray and sprayed the spider with it fro a distance and the strong chemicals ate into it like acid. The spider curled up into a ball in no time. Knowing I had to sweep it up, it proved to be a rather hard task as I struggled to get the spider in the dustpan.
Dr.(Y/n): Ew, ew, ew, ew, ewwwwww.
I say before finally manage to dump the spider.
