Species
~ note ~
While humans have the average lifespan of 79 years, supernaturals have an average lifespan of 100 years.
Hybrids, being half human half supernatural, have an average lifespan of 89 years.
No one is immortal. Do not act like you are.
Humans
Duh
Witches/Wizards
People who can cast magic with their wands. They specialize in spells and charms.
Sorcerers/Sorceresses
Much like witches and wizards, but sorcerers specialize in potions and charms.
Werecreature
A supernatural who can shift into an animal. If you can think of an animal, there's a werecreature for it.
Vampire
Vampires are supernaturals who drink blood. Despite what the stories say, they have no aversion towards crosses, garlic, or sunlight. They do not need to kill for blood, and can sustain themselves very well on their own blood, as well as meats (cooked or uncooked).
[I'm gonna go on a little rant here- I never got the whole "allergic to sunlight" thing anyways. I mean, if they couldn't stand sunlight, then they wouldn't be able to go out at night either, right????? Moonlight is just sunlight bouncing off the moon. If the slightest bit of sunlight touched their skin vampires explode, but when it comes to MOONLIGHT, they're PERFECTLY FINE!!!!]
Siren
According to legends, sirens are beautiful woman with fish tails who sing songs to drown sailors. This is not true at all. Sirens can be of any gender, and are a cousin species of merfolk. Their voices are enchanting, yes, but they can be resisted, and it isn't just their songs that do the enchanting. They appear entirely human, but upon touching sea water, become a true creature of the sea. While merfolk are often described as terrifying, the sea form of a siren still retains some human parts.
Merfolk
Much like their sister species, sirens, merfolk aren't really beautiful woman with fish tails. Upon touching sea water, merfolk turn into a creature purely from the sea, and there's almost nothing human remaining.
Elves
Most people think of elves as tall and pale, with pointed ears that stand straight up. This, like most other human assumptions, is incorrect. Elves are around the same height as a human, and come in the same variety of skin tones as humans do. Their ears, while pointed, may twitch, fold, and bend like a cats or dogs.
Faerie
Humans see faeries as small elves with butterfly wings, creatures rich with magic and mischief. In actuality, faeries are the same size as humans, and their wings can appear not only as a butterfly, but as a moth or dragonfly as well. They can shrink to the size of an ant, and aren't particularly rich in magic as humans believe, although they have a natural connection with nature. A green thumb, if you will.
~ lemme know if you have other creatures for me to add!! ~
