Ruth's POV:

     Ruth got ready for the day but never noticed the ring was different. It remained gray, but it appeared to be damaged.  The miraculous is old, but that was not the issue. 

    She smiledas she brushed her hair, then fixed it back in her usual ponytail. She is not sure why the previous holder would remove the ring.  How bad could it have been for them to have been a  hero?
    
   Sure she knew it has its struggles, but in the end, it was worth it since she can help others. She can protect them, rescue them, and remain invisible.  

     It is way better than how her life was before she found the ring all those years ago.

     Blancy's  POV:

     Blancy noticed something seems off about the miraculous her holder has on her finger. She thought oh no, it is happening again. She recalled a time once in the past when the same thing took place with a  different holder.  It was three holders ago.

      She sniffled as she remembered how bad it turned out in the past. She can not go through all that again. She must find a way to warn Ruth.

       The question now is how?  When, should she warn her?  

      She decided she must warn her as soon as she can. 

         Ruth's  POV:

        Ruth thought it is nice to have a day off.  As much as she enjoyed the hero work she could use a break. Every good hero needed one that is for sure.  She felt tears fall as she recalled the details of her mother's untimely death.

       She never understood what happened to her.  She always thought her mother was healthy before she died.

         " Ruth's flashback..." 

           Ruth was outside playing when her mother called her in for dinner.  She fell in a mud puddle, got up, and ran inside the house. She cleaned up and changed into some clean clothes. She did not want her mother to fuss at her for being all filthy.

        Once ready she came to the table and sat across from her mom.

        "Mom, I love you!" She said.

          "I love you too,"  Her mother answered.

        Ruth frowned when her mother fell out of a chair in front of her. She felt so helpless and so frightened. She called for help but was told it would be thirty minutes before anyone could arrive.  She did not think her mom had that much time left.

        She ran outside and looked for something to fix this. She found nothing, she returned to the kitchen and knelt next to her mom.  She sobbed knowing it was too late.

         Ruth nodded her head. She saw the police arrive along with an ambulance. She did not say much, but when she finished she ran away and never went back. She knew if she did she would be sent to a children's orphanage for sure.

        End of Flashback...

            Ruth felt the guilt over her mother, her friends, and more eat at her very soul. She sobbed.

      Blancy's  POV:

        Blancy felt sad about the news she had to give Ruth. She saw her cry over past memories. 

      She was not sure if today was the proper time to tell her about the ring or not.

           Boom!  She heard a loud explosion and gasped. Oh, no!  No, she thought!  

            How do I stop her from transforming now?

       Adrien's  POV:

      Adrien senses something is wrong but is not sure what. He just knows it must have something to do with Ladyblanc. He can only hope she is alright. It is not like he knows for sure what is happening.

      He hears the boom and gasps.  "Not today!" He screams.

      Ruth's  POV:  

     "Great, so much for time off!" She groans.

     She looks at her kwami Blancy who appears to be upset.  She does not take time to question her. Perhaps, she will find out later.

      For now, she has work to do.

     "Blancy, Claws on!" She calls out.

     She transforms unaware of the extra risk she just made by this move.

     Ladyblanc's  POV:

      Ladyblanc ran into the battle and attacked with her baton. She did not hear her ring make a funny noise nor did she see the green fade in and out of its center.

    She hears the villain scream louder than usual. She wonders what brought that on anyway.

    Ladyblanc is about to use her extra powers but falls on the ground. Her nose bleeds, and the ring's crack increases. She has no idea all this is due to a simple ring malfunction.

      Narrator's POV:     

      The bad guy looks at the hero who is down. He decides not to fight back. Somehow it does not feel right to harm someone who can not stand up. He sees a funny liquid ooze out of her jewelry.  

    What on earth is that all about anyway?  He thought to himself.

     Goodness, it sounds like the story is getting intense because it is the narrator explains. Do not worry, it is all part of the plan.  It makes more sense later on so just keep reading to find out more.

      Blancy's  POV:

       Blancy attempted to make Ladyblanc detransform. She worried about the effects the broken item has on the young girl. She must do what she can to help her and protect her at all costs.

       She saw the sinister cross man runoff. She is glad he is no longer nearby. This way if she succeeded she does not have to worry about someone finding out Ladyblanc's identity by accident.  

      Ladyblanc's  POV:

   Ladyblanc remained unconscious.  The nose bleed stopped, but the trouble was not over.  

      She did not move a single muscle.
